Chapter 66 - Chapter 66 Where Is My Nomu?

"Quicksand Waterfall."

The words were spoken calmly, yet they reverberated across the battlefield like a thunderclap. Akira pressed his hand firmly against the ground, a quiet determination in his gaze.

Suddenly, the earth beneath him began to fracture.

**"Crack... crack..."**

The ground quaked violently as fissures spread outward in all directions. The tremors were so intense that even the hardened warriors of the League of Villains paused mid-battle, startled by the unexpected seismic activity.

"What's happening? An earthquake?" one of the villains shouted, his voice betraying his panic.

"No way... This isn't natural. Could it be reinforcements?" another asked, his fear mingling with uncertainty.

"Impossible! We've cut off all communications and sealed the entrances to USJ. No hero could have made it through!"

Amid the chaos, Class 1-A's students exchanged wary glances.

"The ground... it's cracking!" Denki Kaminari was the first to notice the spreading fractures.

"Wait! It's not just cracking—it's turning to sand!" Kyoka Jiro added, her sharp eyes catching the transformation.

"It's him," Bakugo said firmly, his fists clenched.

"Who?" Kaminari asked, still trying to process what was happening.

"Akira. This is his doing," Bakugo growled, his voice filled with both frustration and reluctant admiration.

"Akira?!" the others echoed in disbelief.

"Yeah, this is him. That damn bastard..." Bakugo muttered under his breath before leaping onto higher ground to get a better view.

"Where are you going, Kacchan?" Midoriya called after him, but Bakugo ignored him, his eyes fixed on the unfolding scene.

---

At the heart of the battlefield, Tomura Shigaraki's unease was palpable.

"What the hell is this kid doing? The entire ground is shaking!" he spat, scratching at his neck anxiously.

Kurogiri, always the voice of caution, spoke up. "Shigaraki, I have a bad feeling about this. We need to stop him now."

"You don't need to tell me!" Shigaraki snapped. "Nomu! Take him down—now!"

Nomu roared in response, lunging toward Akira with terrifying speed. But before it could reach him, a surge of sand erupted from the ground like a living entity, coiling around Nomu's body and dragging it into the abyss below.

"What?!" Shigaraki shouted, his eyes widening in shock.

Kurogiri's voice trembled as he watched the scene unfold. "Shigaraki, the ground... the entire USJ training area... it's transforming into a desert!"

The once-diverse training zones of USJ—the flood zone, the mountain area, the fire zone—were now gone, replaced by an endless sea of golden sand.

---

From a vantage point above, Bakugo and Midoriya stared in stunned silence.

"This... This is insane," Midoriya murmured, his voice barely audible over the howling wind.

Bakugo grit his teeth. "That idiot... I knew he was strong, but this? This is something else entirely."

"Akira's strength... it's on a completely different level," Midoriya whispered, a mix of awe and fear in his eyes.

---

Back on the battlefield, Shigaraki's frustration reached a boiling point.

"Damn it! What kind of monster is this kid?!" he roared, his fingers twitching with the urge to decay something—anything.

"Shigaraki," Kurogiri interjected, "do you remember the incident in Haiyuan Town?"

Shigaraki froze, the mention of the name sparking a memory.

"Haiyuan Town... the place where a lush forest suddenly turned into a desert," he muttered.

"Exactly," Kurogiri said. "What we're seeing here... it's the same. This has to be his doing."

As the realization sank in, Shigaraki's gaze darted around the battlefield. "Wait... where's Nomu?!"

Kurogiri hesitated, unable to answer.

It was then that Akira's calm voice cut through the chaos.

"Your Nomu has been swallowed by the abyss."

Shigaraki turned toward the source of the voice, his face twisting in fury. "You... What did you do?!"

Akira smirked, his confidence unwavering. "You thought Nomu was your ace, but in the face of nature's wrath, even monsters fall."

The tension in the air was electric as Akira's words sunk in. The battlefield had been irrevocably altered, both physically and mentally, and it was clear to everyone present—villain and hero alike—that Akira Kitagawa was not someone to be underestimated.
