Wyne took a kettle from the kitchen utensil rack in her rented house, filled it with water from the tap in the sink and boiled it over the two-burner gas stove. Her face looked annoyed, not annoyed.
When she and Ricardo arrived at the rented house, the CEO immediately asked her to make a cup of coffee and she couldn't refuse because he had been taken home safely in this world and the hereafter.
"Why do I know that slengean Kang Sempol?" she put his hands on his hips, "Why did he look for me and find me?" his heart burst out in frustration, not expecting Ricardo to look for her and succeed in finding her.
Meanwhile, on the front porch, Ricardo took out his guitar from its case, while on the table was a plastic bag containing a box of chocolate and cheese Bangka martabak.
After they had lunch, and dropped Wyne off, he stopped by a music equipment store and bought this guitar. He has loved music since he was little and was given music lessons by Aldiano. His voice is also melodious when he sings like Gordon and Aldiano.
This guitar was intentionally brought here to invite Wyne to sing with him, to fill the night with peace after a day of being like cats and dogs, but always getting along again. It was different when they were little. After fighting they became enemies. Even though Gordon and Carter had told them to shake hands peacefully. It must be different, they are no longer children whose minds are limited to what they feel.
In addition to buying a guitar, he also bought a portion of Bangka chocolate cheese martabak before picking up Wyne. He wanted to make their atmosphere later more pleasant.
Back in the kitchen, the kettle started whistling, making Wyne stop being annoyed with Ricardo. She quickly turned off the stove, took a ceramic cup, a sachet of coffee, a sugar jar and a small spoon. When she was about to add sugar, she seemed to think, then put the sugar powder back into the jar, took another jar and put two small spoons of dirty white powder on top of the coffee powder in the cup.
His face smiled and chuckled, imagining Ricardo getting a great sensation from the coffee she made. For some reason, she wanted to prank the CEO right now. After adding the powder, she poured hot water from the kettle into the cup. She was still chuckling watching the water dissolve his coffee concoction. Only then was the coffee stirred.
After the coffee was ready, it was immediately brought to the terrace, placed on the table, then sat on a wooden chair. His eyes saw Ricardo strumming the guitar and his ears heard the melodious voice of the CEO singing a love song he knew.
Because she came, the CEO stopped playing guitar, placed the instrument on the floor upright, and then looked at Wyne.
"Duda-!" Wyne reprimanded this handsome widower, "Here, I've made coffee for you." She pointed to a cup of coffee in front of the man, "Come on, drink it."
"Thanks, sweetheart." Ricardo thanked him, taking the cup and saucer from the table.
Wyne was stunned because the CEO called her a sweetheart, as if she was his lover, but this time she didn't protest, watching Gordon's grandson blowing on the surface of the coffee water. Both of her eyes began to look happy because soon Kang Sempol would enjoy his coffee concoction.
"Wina-" Ricardo reprimanded Wyne who was still solemnly watching him blow on the surface of the coffee water, "You better copy that martabak, for us to snack on." Kate's granddaughter told him to copy the martabak while pointing with one plastic hand on the table.
"That-?" Wyne was surprised, spontaneously pointing at the plastic on the table, "Martabak?"
"Yeah-" Ricardo turned his gaze to Wyne, "I bought it before I picked you up earlier." He admitted to buying it.
"Then that guitar?" Wyne now pointed to the guitar next to Ricardo.
"I took it from my rented house." The CEO lied, not wanting Wyne to be sarcastic about him. Even though the girl didn't have a sarcastic nature, "Hurry up Sweetie!" Kate's granddaughter reprimanded her, "Copy that martabak for us to snack on."
Wyne sighed, once again Ricardo acted casually towards her, as if she was his girlfriend. But she couldn't be angry because the CEO said he deliberately bought martabak for them to snack on right now. She took the plastic, stood up and went into the house. But she didn't go to the kitchen, but peeked from the edge of the door frame, still wanting to see Ricardo's reaction if he drank the coffee she made.
The CEO slowly sipped his coffee, already imagining how delicious the coffee must be because it was made by the angel of his dreams, but his eyes widened and he coughed.
"Uhuk, uhuk, uhuk-!"
Wyne saw this and covered his mouth to hold back the laughter that was about to burst out seeing Ricardo like that. The powder that Wyne put was table salt. His face laughed seeing the CEO click his tongue.
"Hais-!" Ricardo spoke, "Did she run out of sugar?" guessing why the coffee tasted sour. He put the cup and saucer on the table, stood up, "I'll just buy some sugar for her." He decided to buy some sugar, stood up and immediately left the terrace.
Slowly Wyne came out of hiding, peeking his eyes to see where Ricardo went. It turned out to be a grocery store not far from the rented house. She was surprised, why didn't the CEO spray coffee water and scream at him?
The answer, when Ricardo coughed, both of his eyes saw Wyne on the edge of the door frame and the girl's face laughed in amusement. From there he knew Wyne was teasing him, but he didn't have the heart to scream at her. So he just teased her and immediately bought sugar at the stall.
Not long after, Wyne rushed inside because she saw Ricardo carrying a white plastic bag containing several items. She immediately went to the kitchen and served the martabak on a flat round plate.
Ricardo sat on a chair, put the shopping bag on another chair, then threw the coffee water on the front porch, took a bottle of mineral water from the shopping bag, then sat quietly waiting for Wyne while occasionally taking a sip of mineral water to neutralize his tongue that still tasted salty. His face looked calm.
Wyne came with a plate of martabak, and placed it on the table while sitting on an empty chair.
"Wina-" Ricardo reprimanded Wyne while taking a shopping bag, giving it to Kate's granddaughter, "Here, I bought sugar for your kitchen." He mentioned sugar, skipped the others, "I know you ran out of sugar, because your coffee is bland." This beautiful woman quipped with a calm face.
Wyne pouted, affected by Ricardo's sarcasm, took the plastic, "Thanks for buying sugar." She said thank you.
"You're welcome." Ricardo replied, then took a cup and saucer, "Sweetie-!" Wyne reprimanded him while handing him the items, "Please make another coffee, but with sugar, because I bought sugar for you." Kate's granddaughter asked him to make a new coffee that had to use sugar from her.
Wyne's cheeks immediately puffed up, again exposed to Ricardo's sarcasm.
"Of course!" she took the cup and saucer, then stood up and went into the house, making new coffee for Ricardo.
The CEO quickly took something out of his jacket pocket, squeezed it with both hands, then scooped out the black contents and smeared it into the martabak filling, then threw the something into a small trash can near the door and sat quietly waiting for Wyne.
Wyne brought back a cup of coffee, this time made with sugar and coffee, according to Ricardo's order. She placed it on the table. The CEO took a piece of martabak and devoured it. Wyne observed the man who remained calm, not questioning why the coffee tasted salty and the CEO bought him sugar. His smart brain was immediately alert.
The CEO realized he was being watched, quickly lifted the plate containing the martabak, and handed it to Wyne.
"Come on, Win-" Kate's grandson reprimanded her, "You're snacking on this martabak." Bella's mother asked her to take a piece, "I guarantee it's delicious."
Wyne sighed, still being alert, and took a piece with a smiling face. Both of his eyes scanned the surface of the martabak, making sure there was nothing there. She felt Ricardo was teasing him back.
Ricardo smiled slightly, seeing the alert attitude. Wyne had just teased him, knowing he didn't want to lose, he would tease him back. From there he judged Wyne to be smart.
After Wyne saw nothing strange in the martabak, she began to devour it. Ricardo put the plate on the table, continuing to eat the martabak in his hands. Occasionally looking at Wyne who began to taste the martabak in Kate's granddaughter's mouth.
Not long after, Wyne stood up and threw the contents of his mouth into the trash. Ricardo's face smiled with amusement, successfully repaying Kate's grandson's mischief. When Wyne returned, his face was made calm without an amused smile.
"Duda-!" Wyne slapped Ricardo's arm, "You said the martabak was delicious!" showing the remaining martabak in her hand.
"It's delicious!" Ricardo looked at the martabak in Wyne's hand, "But why did you spit it out earlier?"
"Because it tastes bitter!" Wyne cried in annoyance.
"Really?" Ricardo was surprised, "What was it like just now? It was sore?"
Wyne fell silent, starting to remember the bitter taste of the martabak, then was surprised.
"It tastes strange, Duda."
"How is it strange?"
"The bitter taste of kluwek!"
Hearing this, Ricardo's face spontaneously smiled in amusement. Something smeared on the martabak filling was indeed kluwek. He bought one from the stall that also sold raw vegetables and cooking spices.
"Why are you smiling so funny?" Wyne saw the smile.
"Because-" Ricardo couldn't wipe the amused smile off his face, "You said the bitter taste of kluwek!" he chuckled, "Is martabak really Rawon?"
"But it felt kluwek!"
Hearing this, Ricardo burst out laughing. He managed to get back at Wyne's prank.
"You-" Wyne began to suspect because the man burst out laughing spontaneously, "Did you smear kluwek on the filling of this martabak?" she showed the martabak in his hand to Gordon's grandson.
Ricardo burst out laughing again, "Hahaha!"
Wyne became annoyed, it turned out that the martabak he was eating was messed with by Ricardo. It was still good with kluwek filling. She threw the martabak into the trash, then looked at the CEO who was chuckling in amusement.
"Enough, enough-" the prince stopped laughing, took a bottle of mineral water from the table, opened the cap, "You drink this water, gargle, spit it out in the yard, then drink again." Wyne told him to neutralize the bitter taste on his tongue. The bottle was handed over.
Wyne sighed, took the bottle and did as the prince instructed. She lost to Gordon's grandson, because when the man tasted the salty coffee, she didn't give him any water to neutralize the saltiness. While the prince, immediately gave him mineral water to remove the bitter taste from the martabak.
After she finished neutralizing the bitter taste, she sat back down while placing the bottle on the table.
"Duda-" reprimanded Ricardo who was holding a guitar, "Forgive me, okay?"
"For what?" Ricardo looked at her in surprise.
"I deliberately made coffee for you using table salt," Wyne admitted his prank.
Ricardo smiled, gently stroking Wyne's face, "I know that and it's okay with me."
"But it makes you upset and makes you tease me back, right?"
"Sorry, Wina," the CEO regretted replying to Wyne's prank a little, "Actually, I replied to you to not just prank people. If that person retaliates, but by poisoning your food, then you die, what then?" he explained why he replied, not just for fun, there was a lesson he wanted to convey to Wyne. His hand rubbed Wyne's face again. "In this world, not everyone can think of being pranked as just an ordinary game." He added with a sincere smile, "So in the future, be careful if you want to prank someone."
Wyne smiled upon hearing this, "Thank you for returning my mischief to teach me to behave properly."
Ricardo smiled, pulled Wyne's arm, and gave her a loving kiss on the forehead, a reward for Kate's grandson accepting good lessons from him.
"Thank you, Duda." Wyne thanked him after being rewarded with a loving kiss on the forehead.
Ricardo nodded, "Let's play guess the song." Then he changed the subject while pointing at the guitar on his lap. "I'll play a little music for one song, you have to guess it." He invited Wyne to play guess the song, "If your answer is correct, we'll sing the song together. But if you lose, tomorrow you invite your friends to buy my chicken sempol. How about it, hmm?"
Wyne smiled upon hearing this rule of the game, then nodded her head. She became more comfortable with the handsome widower. The hurt feelings towards Arifin slowly disappeared.
