Chapter 6 - Joys of Justice

The promise of a lifetime must carry over into

Those things left me misunderstood. A horse with wings brought from nowhere. Flew down out of the sky. We later retracted calling it from the heavens.

The family asked the Sheriff's Department out to look at our Girl called Heaven. They quietly came to investigate it. Then give a verdict of what their thoughts were. Which seemed promising, especially for those deputies who farmed. And are schooled in animals, and zoology to be able to get a clear call on it. To be sure it's not a fake. They would be staying on indefinitely meaning as long as the horse stayed. For one thing to protect Heaven making sure no one stole her.

The Amish Village hired them to protect and serve these horse-bearing wings. Also, keep a well-kept journal, on the life of the said subject. In this case Heaven the winged horse.

A veterinarian by the name of Doctor Vannesa Mast, a pretty blue-eyed blonde. Tall, and Mennonite, the truth of the matter be a gut reputation for knowledge of horse husbandry.

Today she brought her black buggy to drive Pet her big Belgium-led the way. She tied her rig to the hitching post. Getting out to step on the ground carrying her black vet bag right along with her. Taking upon herself to check in the front door of the barn.

Dr. Vanessa greeted Deputy Sheriff Yoder, he smiled as he greeted her. They shook hands

Saying hello. He showed her to Heaven, where

She sat down at a table and opened a computer tablet. Then started a file on Heaven

Taking a vile of blood samples marked with her name. Heaven flenched, and Vanessa patted her side, as she drew out another one. Doing the same thing with it. Take the two and put them in an iced bag for freshness.

Then carried it to the table, put it on dry ice in a container shut its top. Transferring it into her doctor's bag. Listened to her heart using a stethoscope. Everything sounded gut. She closed her laptop, picked up her bag, and left for the blood lab to drop off.

Vanessa: "I'm coming back because I need to observe her for a few weeks ." she left for an hour only to return. Virginia and Emma helped down at the barn, grooming and riding quarter horses while Vanessa watched Heaven around other horses and persons.

Heaven a very observant horse she wrote. Looking at objects, seemed thoughtful about what she observed. Noise doesn't bother her. Vanessa wrote on her computer tablet. This tiny mare is black with wings and a white star on her head. Beautiful as ever.

Inside a horse arena a fine one, the sand raked smooth no horse dung in sight. Fine lights in the ceiling of the barn gave enough soft light to make it easy on Your eyes. A whitewashed wood fence is inside around it. Horse stalls off of it with latched doors. Beautifully built unique in its structure. Noah and Samual Peachy are there whistling as they get some paint horses out to bathe outside under the hose using soap and water with a horse brush.

Then a wooden totem pole was carved out to be a symbol of the Libra, a woman blindfolded and holding a scale evenly. A gold medallion screwed into its feet which reads ." Joys of Justice.

Amid an Indian man danced on clouds " Hayayaya comatimya ya ya ya." Then a whisper " Do not forget those things much read for justice rhymes with even. When you serve the compass of neutrality. Praise Justice for all ."

Doctor Venessa, quickly before she forgot

Wrote these words on paper in her journal so as never to forget them. For up-to-date news traveling fast.

Then the voice disappeared as quickly as it came to her. Silenced by her voice inside her head

. I'm sure it was the first thing that popped into her ear as it came up to the other side of the screen of a medicine women Doctor.

Soon after taking a short walk around looking for the otherwise normal voices of those around. Up the hill a fruit orchard. Then

I crossed from the river to my left side and the other road less traveled.

She walked into the barn once more to say her goodbyes till tomorrow. Everyone waved goodbye. Then off the road for home, a road traveling for home. A brisk trot the horse did go. Pet knew the way, part of the way a fork in the road the horse took to trot.

There in the distance her office and home on a small acreage. Her small dog a mix of schtzu MalteseTrixie met her she slowed as he jumped in her buggy wagging his tail and giving kisses. Her big red barn appeared as she turned down her lane.

Grosspapa and GrossMama live in a Daude house made of stone. Papa wearing a straw wide-brimmed hat. He waved a large red handkerchief so she'd see him. She drove her buggy into the buggy barn. Unhooked Pet patted his rump and he ran into the pasture.

Then handed Venesa an oatmeal and Set a mug of steamy kaffi. She sipped it soothing her senses into relax mode. Nibbled cookies are delicious. A Grossmama also picked an oatmeal chocolate chip cookie.

This farm the Veterinarian farm gave her rent-free while keeping on as the Country Vet.

They sat down for the rest of the day, reminiscing of theories of curing ailments with herbal remedies. Theorists from past and present Amish healers gift a perfect recipe to match the ailment. Vanessa had left her senses because of her broken engagement with Herman Bontrager. A sheep Farmer lived in the next village close to them. Not that he was not a gut man because he was not her type after all. He felt terrible about the whole thing. Which made her feel so bad doing it yet worse to lie about it to him to save face. She is available again, but still no dates yet, Grossmama.
