He wasn't worried about security—he could wander as he pleased and sneak back in later when it mattered.

Outside, the scene was far livelier.

Journalists, guests, socialites, and celebrities filled the space, their dazzling appearances and animated chatter creating a kaleidoscope of sights and sounds.

Lemu strolled leisurely, his steps in sync with the rhythm of the music, looking like an old man on a relaxed stroll through town.

Suddenly, a hand grabbed his wrist from behind.

There was a soft snap as the touch halted his steps, and a warm, gentle voice reached his ears.

"Excuse me, are you lost? Did you get separated from your guardian? Do you need help?"

Lemu turned around, and for a brief moment, it was as if a blossoming pear tree met a hibiscus in full bloom—both were instantly mesmerized by the other's beauty.

What a stunning person! (x2)

The woman before him stood about half a head taller than him.

Due to the angle, Lemu's first glance caught a shirt barely containing ample curves, though her shoulders were unexpectedly slender and smooth. A small black cross necklace rested delicately against her skin.

Raising his gaze, he noticed her perfectly defined lips, her features carrying a hint of exotic Western allure, paired with the graceful charm of Eastern refinement.

Her long golden hair shimmered like sunlight, framing eyes as clear and mesmerizing as water.

In a single moment, she completely captivated Lemu's slime heart.

Oh no, this must be… love at first sight!

The woman smiled warmly, her eyes curving gently as she tilted her head slightly. She, too, seemed briefly entranced by the delicate beauty of the young person before her.

"Who are you?"

Lemu blinked his large, amber-colored eyes, tilting his head slightly as he adopted a soft, innocent expression, one that was utterly irresistible.

A skilled hunter often appears in the guise of their prey.

The woman, sensing a faint ripple in her heart, quickly composed herself. With a practiced smile, she reached down and lifted the nearly invisible name tag from below her curves. The badge read: Alice Black.

"You can call me Alice," she said, her voice warm and professional. "I'm part of the staff here, responsible for guiding guests to the Stark Military Family Fundraiser Gala. I noticed you wandering around—did you lose your way or drop something? Do you need help?"

Lemu nodded lightly, his expression calm and polite.

"Absolutely, I do. I'm here for the Stark Gala but stepped out for a walk and… now I can't find my way back."

Alice suppressed a small chuckle and gently took Lemu's hand, her grip firm yet soft, like holding a delicate frost-kissed flower.

"Well then, allow me to escort you back," she said with a smile.

"Okay."

Outside the Disney Concert Hall, Lemu's chance encounter with this charming woman turned into a quiet walk back to the gala.

Lemu followed obediently behind her, feeling the warmth and softness of Alice's hand in his own.

It was… surprisingly pleasant.

Up ahead, Alice herself was equally delighted. What a stroke of luck to meet someone so adorable and beautiful. Holding his small, cool hand—it felt just like jelly, soft and refreshing to the touch.

The two, each lost in their own thoughts, eventually made their way back into the concert hall. By sheer coincidence, they arrived at the same spot where Lemu had been sitting earlier—though the chair was gone now.

"We're here," Alice said with a professional smile, releasing his hand gently. "I'll be taking my leave now."

But as she turned to go, a delicate hand reached out and stopped her.

"Alice…"

Lemu's soft voice, tinged with hesitation, made her pause.

"Could you stay and chat with me? I'm here alone, and it's… really boring."

Lemu tilted his small face up at a forty-five-degree angle, his large amber eyes shimmering with a touch of loneliness, mixed with a glimmer of hope.

It was the kind of look that tugged at people's heartstrings.

Lemu was well aware of how to weaponize his appearance.

Alice froze for a moment, her brows furrowing slightly as a ripple of emotion flickered through her eyes.

Her professional demeanor wavered, replaced by something softer—a tenderness she couldn't quite hide.

How could she possibly say no?

Alice couldn't bring herself to refuse him, but she looked a bit conflicted. With an apologetic tone, she carefully explained, "I… I still have work to do. The Stark Foundation has given me this job as part of a work-study program. I can't just leave my post whenever I want."

Lemu narrowed his eyes slightly, his lips curving into a soft, mischievous smile.

"Perfect. Then I'll officially request you to represent the Stark Foundation and assist me. After all, I'm a high-value client, and if you manage to secure a donation for the foundation through me, I'm sure your bosses would be thrilled."

Alice furrowed her brows even tighter, her lips pressing into a thin line as she gave him a half-reproachful look.

"You shouldn't throw around your family's money like that…" She let out a small sigh, then relented. "Fine, I'll keep you company—but only for a little while."

Lemu handed Alice a few chocolates from his snack stash, casually asking, "Are you a student? Is someone in your family a soldier?"

Alice unwrapped one of the chocolates, taking a small, delicate bite.

The smooth and sweet flavor lit up her face, a warm smile spreading across her lips as she nodded.

"Yes, I'm in college right now. My father is a retired soldier, and he's received a lot of help from the Stark Foundation."

Lemu grinned in response. "What a coincidence—I'm in college, too. I just started this year."

Alice's water-blue eyes widened in surprise, with a hint of playful charm in her expression.

"Really? How old are you?"

"Fifteen… I think?" Lemu replied casually, shrugging. "Does it really matter?"

His age, as usual, was a hard thing to pin down. His physical age, appearance, and spiritual age all seemed to belong to entirely different timelines.
