Later, in the Atlantis Archives, Caspian arrives as Tarnak is reading the scriptures and drawings.
Tarnak: So much history.....though so little has been claimed.
Caspian: We will regain it, father...together...
Tarnak: You know; Keera is more like her mother...rebellious...outgoing.....it was cruel what had happened to her....I can see your partial hate for the Enhumans as well.
Caspian: It should've been me that day.....She could've gotten through to her daughter more than I could....
Tarnak: She's more and more like her father every single day.....(looking at the drawing of the sinking of Atlantis) I miss your mother as well....son, promise me once you take the throne, you will lead these people into peace with the Enhumans.
Caspian: Can they be reasoned with? If there was a situation we needed, would they help us?
At Parker Tower, Arianna is showing Alex around the penthouse area, where the team stays.
Alex: Hey, where's Mr. Parker and his kids?
Arianna: Well, fortunately, sweetheart, before all this happened, John and the kids booked a long vacation out in Greece. They left this morning. So in the meantime, Charles and I will be in charge. So let me show you around before we train. So you can get comfortable.
Alex looks around as Arianna shows him around the penthouse.
Arianna: This is the penthouse area, Alex. Where you'll be residing with your fellow teammates and workmates.
Alex: Wow....
Alex looks outside to see how tall the building is.
Alex: This is definitely taller that the empire state building.
Arianna: Amazing, isn't it? The benefit of working here is the view.
Alex: So, while you're hiding while you're working for a private company that builds advanced technology to sell, you're also hiding this superhero part from the public.
Arianna: Correct. It's for the public's safety and ours.
Alex: So....If you're all the Supers, then that would make John Parker Quantum.
Arianna: Yep.
Alex: And his kids; James and Eva? I'm guessing they're Dragonfly and Sun Sorceress. What about the Owl? I mean, Professor McGregor.
Arianna: Charles has to hide in here from the public due to his appearance, but he and James work together to build the technology that helps us sell to the public and helps us on the battlefield.
Alex: And Power Surge, Ember and Neon Crane?
Arianna: Students and employees....like you're going to be. Well, Ember fortunately betrayed us and sided with Genesis...it fortunately lead to his demise.
Alex: And you...you're Mother Nature....so that was you in 2011 that stopped Dr. Genesis and the Purifiers. It all makes sense.
Arianna sighs.
Arianna: I wanted to tell you, but your father and I had an agreement. We thought it was best for you to have a normal life with friends.
Alex: Speaking of that, what about Patrick and those kids at New Design High who saw my...uh...outburst.
Arianna: Well, John had Charlie fly around and expose a ketamine cocktail into the atmosphere of the school, only enhanced with Quantum's energy..as for that young man, his face has been healed. It'll erase the memory of the incident, and people will forget you're an Enhuman. Maybe you in general.
Alex: So, you're saying this Enhuman thing is permanent, and I can never go back to my normal life.
Arianna: Afraid not, sweetheart. I'm sorry.....but in the meantime, you have new friends here. People who completely understand what you're going through. C'mon. The younger kids are in the day room. Want to introduce you all before you start training in the Grid.
Alex: The Grid?
Arianna: It's where we train.
In the day room, Trisha and Josh are laying on the couch watching TV, before Arianna walks in and introduces Alex.
Arianna: Josh. Trisha. This is my son, Alex. He's our newest member of the team.
Arianna turns to Alex.
Arianna: Alex, this is Josh and Trisha, but you might know them as—
Alex: Power Surge....and Neon Crane. Your light powers are incredible.
Trisha: Thanks. It took me a while to master them. Kinda got them transferred to me involuntarily by this Enhuman woman.
Alex: Wow, that sounds much more cooler than how I got my powers.
Josh: How'd you get yours?
Alex: From a thermos temperature conduit that I had built. Well, it was a piece of crap til Dr. Parker lended me a kinetic energy shield barrier that backfired.
Josh: Still, not so bad.
Trisha: I don't think John would've allowed that.
Arianna: Well, it was James that gave him the shield barrier.
Josh: That makes sense.
Alex: So, how long you all been on the team?
Josh: Almost four years.
Trisha: Two years.
Alex: So, how'd Mr. Parker find you all?
Josh: Well, it was when....
Josh begins telling his story of how Mr. Parker noticed him, but Alex doesn't seem to be paying too much attention as he notices Jessica in the corner drawing. Trisha turns and smiles, before she looks back at Alex.
Trisha: Her name is Jessica Drakos. She's from France.
Alex: Is...uh...she new, too?
Trisha: Yeah, if you want to meet her, you can.
Alex: Do I speak French to her, or....
Trisha: Doesn't hurt to try.
Alex walks by Josh and Trisha and approaches Jessica.
Alex: (in French) Uh...Hello. My name is Alex Miller. I am new here and introducing myself to a lot of people.
Jessica looks up at Alex.
Alex: (in French) You are new here, too?
Jessica laughs.
Jessica: (in English) Your French is not bad, but needs work.
Alex frowns.
Alex: Hey! You do speak English! But Trisha said...
Jessica: I think the American girl was...how do you Americans say....pulling your arm?
Alex: It's pronounced pulling your leg. Your accent is beautiful, though.
Jessica: Hmm...but yes, I am Jessica Drakos and you, Alexander Miller, correct? Mrs. Belling's son. You are the one who burnt another young man's face, right?
Alex: Yeah...that was me....and just Alex. You call me Alex.
Jessica: Must've a real asshole if you had to go and burn his face.
Alex: Uh....well....yes, and no.
Jessica: I hear your power is amazing, though. The power to control fire and ice. I will need demonstration in the Grid.
Alex: Absolutely.
Dasher speeds into the conversation.
Dasher: Hey, new kid!
Alex: Whoa! Uh...where'd you come from?
Dasher: Well, I was born in Asia, but then came to California to—
Alex: No. I meant right now. Where'd you come from just now?
Dasher: Oh, just....watching you flirt with my best friend.
Alex's eyes widen.
Alex: What?! I wasn't flirting! I was making conversation!
Dasher: Uh-huh. Anyway, I think it's time to head up to the Grid to train.
Dasher uses her superspeed to get up to the Grid, before Joph and Trisha begin to walk.
Jessica: I guess it is time to train. Nice meeting you, Alexander Miller.
Alex: It's just Alex, thanks.
Jessica walks past Alex with her artbook, before turning back at Alex.
Jessica: By the way, your eyes are...
Alex: I know. They're freaky.
Jessica: No...they are beautiful.
Alex blushes at that, before Jessica smiles and heads to the Grid. Alex blushes and exhales. His cheeks turn red hot as he sees the fire coming out his breath.
Alex: I didn't know I could do that.
GREECE
A getaway plane lands at the airport as John, James and Eva depart.
James: Oh, man! Eight long hours of sleep on a plane in mid-air...is actually kind of boring.
Eva: Hey, at least we you didn't have a sleepy old man sleeping on your shoulder.
John: What do mean? It was just us, plus we're in first class.
Eva: I was talking about you.
John: Hey!
James: Oh, man! Time for a paid vacation, guys! Away from company and work!
John: The hell you mean paid? I put a good 6,000 for this vacation!
James: Well, then, when we get back in, you could put in some overtime to pay you back.
John: I do plan on doing that....
James: So do I....in both terms....
Eva: Ew....
John: Not at all what I meant.
John, James, and Eva are walking out of the airport when Eva turns to John.
Eva: Dad, how do you think the team is doing?
John: They're gonna be okay. The kids got Arianna and Charles looking after them.
In the whale graveyard, Keera and Ezra are swimming.
Ezra: Hey, Keera...didn't your father tell us not to come here?
Keera: Yeah, my father said a lot of things....
Ezra: Then why are we here?
Keera: To see why Atlanteans don't come here.....
Keera and Ezra examine the whale graveyard.
Keera: Whoa....
Ezra: This place is really creepy.
Keera: I know...it's amazing, isn't it? C'mon...let's swim around here...see what we find...
Ezra: Don't you think we should be swimming in our shark forms?
Keera: Ezra, you worry too much....what? Are you scared?
Ezra: No, it's just...we're swimming half naked and barefoot...also, we could pierce something here.
Keera: C'mon....let's do some exploring..
Suddenly, Ragor appears.
Ragor: Keera...
Keera: Oh, how did you find us?
Ragor: I saw you swimming from a mile away...now, c'mon...you know we're not allowed here. We are way beyond the boundaries of Atlantis.
Keera: What? Are you scared? You're the biggest guard of Atlantis and you're scared of a whale graveyard.
Ragor: Hey, big or not, there's a reason why Atlanteans don't go where we're not supposed to. Great danger lies there.
Keera: Danger. Ha! I laugh in the face of danger!
Keera laughs, before a monstrous laugh startles her and the others. Suddenly, three Sea goblins emerge from one of the skulls.
Meka: Well, well, well, what do we have here, Loc?
Loc: I don't know, Meka. What you think, Tak?
Tak: (laughs manically)
Meka: Yeah, I thought so too.
Loc: Just like we were all thinking....trespassers!
Ragor: There's no need for violence, gentlemen.
Meca: Actually, I'm a female.....hold up...you're Tarnak's little bodyguard....(to Keera) Which makes you his grandson's daughter, right?
Ragor: I, madam, am the King's major bodyguard.
Loc and Tak surround Keera and Ezra.
Loc: And that's make's you? What? Another thousand year queen-
Keera: yes!
Meca: In a couple years....but do you know what we do to future queen's who trespass on our turf?
Keera: You can't do anything to me.
Ezra: Uh....well, technically they can....
Keera: But Ezra didn't you say something about Goblins being slimy stupid sea worms....
Ezra: (nervously and quietly) Estste on the wormste.
Loc: I heard that! Who you callin "wormsy", boy?!
Ragor: Hey! Okay, that's enough! We'll be leaving now!
Meca: Why? What's the hurry? We were just about to eat dinner.
Loc: Yeah, we could have whatever's "Fishy" around here!
Meca: Wait, wait, I got one! I got one! Get me an order of a trident sandwich! (laughs)
Tak: (speaking gibberish)
Meca: Oh, what, Tak? What is it now? Huh?
Loc looks at where Tak is pointing.
Loc: Hey, we didn't order this meal on the way out, did we?
Meca: Uh, no, we're eating in. Why?
Loc: Because there it is on the way out!
Keera, Ezra and Ragor are swimming away as Meca, Loc and Tak give chase through the whale graveyard. Ragor stands guard, before Keera and Ezra look back.
Ezra: Ragor!
Ragor: go! I'll hold them off! Go! Now!
The three sea goblins attack Ragor, who fights off the goblins while Keera and Ezra swim away. Ragor uses his staff to fight off Meca, Loc and Tak, but Meca manages to kick Ragor into a massive whale skull. The three sea goblins prepare to finish off Ragor, before Keera throws a rock at Meca.
Keera: Why don't you mess with someone else?
Meca: Like you...
Keera: Shit...
The three Sea Goblins give chase to Keera and Ezra throughout the whale graveyard with Ezra knocking down a corpse to slow the sea goblins down. However, Loc breaks through the massive skeleton corpses, before after another long chase, Keera and Ezra are cornered.
Loc: Well, well, well, two little fish caught in a net.
Ezra equips his staff and attacks, but Loc dodges the attack and knocks Ezra aside. Keera stands in her fighting stance.
Meca: Well, you know what they say, honey....ladies first.
Suddenly, Caspian and Tarnak appear and overpower the three Sea Goblins, before pinning all three of them down.
Loc: Whoa, whoa, okay...uncle! Uncle!
Meca: Please! Please!
Caspian: Shut up!
Loc: Okay, we can do that! We're going to shut up right now!
Meca: We apologize on a big note!
Caspian: If you or your kind ever come near my child again.....I will slaughter all three of you and put your heads on a stick as a warning to any other sea goblin out there who dares to shed Atlantean blood!
Meca: Oh, da-this is your daughter! We didn't know!
Loc: Oh, yeah, had we known....we wouldn't have attacked.
Meca: Did you know?
Loc: No! Hell no! Of course not!
Meca and Loc: Tak?
Tak nods his head yes.
Meca: Tak!
Caspian: That's it! You die here!
Tarnak: No, son....(to sea Goblins) We will let you go with your lives...don't go near our Atlanteans again.
Loc: Duly noted.
The three sea Goblins swim away, before Caspian gives Ragor a look of disappointment.
Caspian: You need to work better on your "body guarding".
Keera approaches Caspian.
Keera: Dad, I-
Caspian: You disobeyed me. Let's go home...now.
At Parker Tower, the grid, Arianna and Charles begin to train the new recruits with Josh and Trisha standing in the computer room with the adults. First to be trained is Dasher. As Dasher trains, Alex and Jessica watch as well.
Arianna: Alright, Dasher, your super speed should allow you to slow time down and maneuver around enemies, so we're going to time you. Ready?
Dasher: Bring it on.
Practice drones appear as Dasher prepares for a running stance before sprinting past the robot's dodging their attack as the robot's swing in slow motion. Dasher then grabs one of the robots and throw them into each other. Josh and Trisha nod.
Josh: Not bad.....
Dasher then uses her superspeed punches to take down the other drones.
Alex: Holy...
Jessica: (in French) Holy cow!
Jessica is next up for training.
Charles: Alright, Jessica, your transparent powers are impressive. You've been able to levitate objects such as crates and boxes, but you can most likely trap them, too.
A Parker Industries crate is set across from Jessica, who concentrates and uses her invisibility powers to levitate the crate. She then slams the crate against the wall as it shatters.
Trisha: Damn! Remind me not to ever piss her off!
Charles: Excellent! Now, let's practice your transparent energy blasts.
A practice drone is presented in front of Jessica, who then powers up and then blasts the drone apart with a transparent blast.
Arianna: Great job, Jessica. Now, turn yourself completely transparent.
Jessica concentrates and turns herself completely invisible. In the Grid computer room, Jessica and Charles get a read on Jessica's powers.
Charles: Amazing! Her transparency levels are off the charts. She can turn her complete body invisible.
Arianna: We'll have to make her a suit that also matches her transparency signatures.
Alex is the final to be trained.
Arianna: Alright, Alex. I'm right here with you, son. You've got this.
Alex: Thank you for the pep talk, mom.
Charles: Alright, Alex. Now, as you know, your powers mostly come from your hands. Your right hand controls the fire. Your left hand controls the ice. Try shooting both from your hands on this drone.
A practice drone is posted in front of Alex as it blasts energy at him. Alex dodges, but the beam hits him in the arm.
Alex: Ow! Damn it!
Alex concentrates and shoots both fire and ice at the droid, managing to blast it to pieces.
Charles: Amazing!
Josh: My man! He's got it!
Jessica: Impressive.....
Arianna and Charlie look at Alex's power chart.
Charlie: Outstanding. His powers seem to match his heterochromia. His right eye, which is brown, represents the fire and his left eye, which is blue, represents the ice. He might able to turn himself into either substance at one time.
Arianna: Hmmm....
Arianna speaks into the Grid speaker.
Arianna: Alex, we're gonna try something.....try turning your whole body into ice.
Alex: Huh? I can do that?
Josh: Actually, yeah. You should be able to. I turned my whole body into electricity once and it was cool!
Arianna and Charles turn to Josh, who clears his throat.
Josh: Sorry. Not the point of the lesson.
Alex: Okay.
Alex concentrates then slowly, his whole body turns into ice.
Alex: Whoa....
Alex then touches his ice body and looks over himself.
Alex: Cool....literally and figuratively.
Alex then practices ice sliding around the grid room and is successfully as he surfs around the room.
Alex: This is awesome!
Alex then lands on his feet.
Charles: Alright, Alex! Now, try turning your whole body into fire.
Alex: Sure!
Alex concentrates then turns his whole body into fire.
Alex: Whoa!
Alex looks at his body to see his whole body is now on fire.
Alex: So awesome!
Alex, in his fire form, levitates off the ground, before flying around in a fiery ball.
Alex: Whoo-hoo!
Alex laughs as he spins around, then calmly lands on his feet. Arianna, Charles, Josh, Trisha, Jessica and Dasher applaud and clap.
Arianna: Alright, Alex. Now depower.
Alex nods, then depowers. However, the fire has burned his training suit completely off, leaving Alex completely nude. Arianna, Charles, Josh, Trisha, Jessica (who exclaims in French) and Dasher all exclaim and then advert their eyes to the floor.
Alex: What? You said depower? What? Did it get drafty in here all of a sudden?
Josh whistles as he looks at the ceiling. Jessica smirks a little bit. Arianna clears her throat.
Josh: I don't think he knows he's naked.
Arianna: Alex, do me a favor and look at your feet?
Alex: Look at my feet and just why am I looking at my—
Alex looks down, but then doubles back to realize that he is completely naked, before covering himself. Alex groans in annoyance.
Alex: Dude! This is so embarrassing!
As he is looking away, Charles looks at Alex's progress of his powers.
Charles: Arianna, Alex's powers are at an incredible level.
Arianna: Wow....
Arianna turns back to Alex.
Arianna: Alex, your powers are showing great results!
Alex: That's good....I'm glad...but could we seriously address the situation at hand right now; like the important fact that I've got a bunch of people staring at me butt ass naked!
Charles: Uh...yeah, sorry....uh...Josh, go get him a robe.
Josh: Yeah...
Charles: We're definitely going to have to make him a suit that adapts to both his fire and ice powers...
Trisha: Especially his fire powers, please.
Josh runs out of the Grid computer room, before Arianna speaks into the intercom.
Arianna: On the bright side, Alex, the Enhuman gene in your body gave your physique an incredible boost as you've noticed your abs structure and muscles have doubled since you got your—
Alex: Mom! Really?!
Later, Caspian, Tarnak, Ragor, Ezra and Keera return home.
Caspian: Ragor!
Ragor: Yes, sir.
Caspian: Take Ezra home. (looking back at Keera, who nervously smiles) I've got to teach my daughter a lesson.
Ragor walks over to Ezra.
Ragor: C'mon, Ezra. (to Keera) Keera....(sighs) I knew you well.
Ragor walks out with Ezra, before Tarnak talks to Caspian
Tarnak: Go easy on her, son.....she's just like you, you know?
Caspian: You wouldn't be saying the same if you were me and I was her.....oh, wait....
Tarnak: You just said what I said except backwards. (laughs)
Tarnak leaves, before Keera walks over next to Caspian.
Caspian: Keera, I'm very disappointed in you, young lady.
Keera: I know, Dad.
Caspian: These stunts you're pulling, you could be killed. Now, you see it's not just humans we have to worry about and what's worse, you put Ezra in danger.
Keera: Dad....I....I'm just trying to be brave like you.
Caspian: I'm brave when I can be.....when I take on a shark or another sea creature, my mind is focused....but today, I was afraid....I was afraid I was going to lose you....even Kings or future kings get scared...
Keera: but you know what?
Caspian: hmm?
Keera: Those nasty goblins were even more scared.
Caspian: (laughs) Because no one messes with Atlanteans.
Keera: (laughs) Dad....do you really think Mom is watching us?
Caspian: Keera, I'm going to tell you something that your grandfather told me. (looks up at the sea) Look out into the ocean. You see how the light beams down into the water. Making it glow. Those lights represent the spirits of Atlanteans.....so remember, whenever you feel alone, look to the light inside you....and you will never be alone.
Tarnak, who is listening in, smiles, thinking of how far his son has come.
At Parker Tower, Alex, Jessica and Dasher are being bequeathed as Supers. Mother Nature and The Owl stand in front of the new recruits in their supersuits with Power Surge and Neon Crane present.
The Owl: You three have been working very hard to get where you are....from here on out, your powers are only to be used for good...to help the innocent...to spare the life of both friend and foe....the Supers way....Mr. Parkers way. We have to try and help perfect the relationships between humans and Enhumans...show humans that we are meant to be treated with respect rather than with hostility.
Mother Nature: These suits you're wearing are to hide your identity as well as adapting to your powers. Your codenames are to hide your identity. Never reveal who you are. So...have you all picked a codename?
Dasher: Sound Breaker....you know cause I'm so fast that I break the sound barrier.
Jessica: Hmm....seeing as how I have transparent powers...I'd say the Phantom.
Trisha: Not a bad name.
Mother Nature steps in front of Alex.
Mother Nature: And you, son?
Alex: Well, seeing as how I'm able to hold the power of both fire and ice....I was thinking Thermo.
Power Surge: Dude, now that's a bad ass name.
Mother Nature smiles.
Mother Nature: Welcome to the Supers.
In the trenches of the abyss, Loc, Meca and Tak are treating their wounds.
Loc: Damn Atlanteans! Going to be picking shards out of my ass for a week!
Tak: (cackling)
Loc: It's not funny, Tak!
Tak: (cackling)
Loc: Will you shut up?!
As Tak continues laughing, Loc gets annoyed and tackles Tak, resulting in a brief fight which Meca witnesses.
Meca: Hey! Hey! Knock it off!
Loc: What? He started it!
Meca: Ugh! Look at you! Tak lost his tongue and he has half his brain left.
Tak cleans himself like a dog as Meca and Loc look in weirdness.
Loc: You were saying?
Meca: No wonder we're stuck at the bottom of the food chain.
Loc: Man, I hate the bottom.
Meca: Yeah, you know if it weren't for those humans and Enhumans on the surface, we'd live better and if it weren't for those Atlanteans, we'd be running the sea.
Loc: Man, I hate Atlanteans! Humans! and Enhumans!
Meca: All of em suck!
Loc: They stink!
Meca: Stupid!
Loc: But those Atlanteans.....(with Meca joining in) really suck!
Meca: Hey, we already said "they suck".
Suddenly, Ramses appears.
Ramses: What were you saying about Atlanteans?
Meca: Oh, damn...Ramses...not you. You're awesome. It's just people like your pesci brother, father and niece.....
Ramses: Uh-huh....
Loc: Oh, hey...did you bring us something? Huh? Brother? Pal?
Ramses: Ugh...(carrying dead human diver) You're lucky I caught this diver in one of the sunken ships...you really do not deserve this.
Ramses throws the human corpse to the three Sea Goblins as they begin to devour the corpse.
Ramses: Now.....where's the warlock?
Ramses and the sea Warlock, Krull are speaking.
Ramses: Your Goblins are getting very careless and reckless.
Krull: Be careful not to question my goblins, Atlantean. They will do their bidding...as long as they stay under my control.
Krull conjures up a magical ball that watches Caspian with Tarnak.
Ramses: Father is weak....he should've appointed me king....I'm the oldest....I'm the strongest....
Krull: Yet, your father does not see that in you....
Ramses: I could be a leader if he'd ever given me a chance....
Krull: Well, what do you propose? We kill your father?
A short pause.
Ramses: That's exactly what I'm going to do....and pin the blame on Caspian...and with him out of the way, I will be King of all the Ocean!
