Chie stood between both Zotawa and Kachito, pressing his palms together. Kami no Chikara eminated from the old master, the white energy of Kami no Chikara pulsing with power from him.
Chie: "Kami no Chikara can be a fickle thing. It requires focus. If you break your concentration you can still channel it, however you will lose the potency."
Kachito closed his eyes with a deep breath, placing his right hand against his prosthetic left hand. He focused, concentration fully on the inner machinations of his body. Zotawa was doing the same, his hands together as he focused. Chie nodded as he opened his eyes to look at the two.
Chie: "Yes. That is how you do it. Keep concentration. I believe you boys can get a hold of what takes months in mere hours."
Hearing that from Chie aided to bolster the will and confidence of Kachito and Zotawa. Their focus greatly increased and the drive to improve just as great. Chie eyed the form of the two, correcting them where necessary to improve the efficiency of concentration.
THREE DAYS LATER...
It had been three days since Chie had taught his two star pupils the basics. And now, they could consistently get the energy of Kami no Chikara to manifest onto their fists, reinforcing punches and various martial techniques. Zotawa had even managed to infuse his twin katanas with it. In the early hours of the next day, Kachito and Zotawa had the basics enough to be ready to head out. However, before they could go, Chie pulled Zotawa aside.
Zotawa: "Master, what is it?"
Chie: "I have news, extremely important news. Regarding Kachito."
Zotawa scoffed, rolling his eyes. He knew that if it had to do with Kachito he'd dislike it in someway.
Zotawa: "Really? Him? What news could you possibly have about that dolt?"
Chie: "Kachito is the grandson of the previous Heavenly Swordsman, Hakari Mishimura. The last name of Kachito was no coincidence."
Zotawa: "WHAT!?!"
Chie shushed Zotawa, holding a finger to the man's lips.
Chie: "He has great potential. And you will aid him in his goal. Do I make myself clear?"
Zotawa was shocked by the revelation, but also upset that of all people that could be related to such an esteemed person, it was Kachito.
Zotawa: "Tch...fine..."
Zotawa walked off, grabbing his things and slinging them onto his back, heading for the exit of the dojo.
Zotawa: "Hurry it up Kachito."
Kachito: "I am, jackass!"
Chie walked to Kachito, placing a hand on his shoulder just before he could go off with his things.
Chie: "Wait."
Chie walked to a wall, on its was a variety of legendary items and artifacts Chie had been gifted or found himself. He pulled a katana from the shelf attached to the wall, golden intricate patterns adorning the sheathe. And once Chie slightly pulled out the blade, the shining silver gleamed into Kachito's eyes. On the base of the blade was a golden symbol Kachito did not recognize.
Chie sheathed the blade fully and handed it to Kachito, taking the man's former katana and throwing the weapon out. Kachito held the sheathe of the katana with his prosthetic left hand, eying up the katana.
Kachito: "Woah...what is this...?"
Chie: "It is what is known as a Legendary Armament. The Legendary Armaments are supernatural weapons that cannot break or dull. This is the Exorcism Blade, Mochi."
Kachito: "Mo...chi? Like the food-"
Chie: "Yes Kachito. It was madw by an exorcist whom enjoyed mochi. It can cut Yo-Kai without need of an exorcist. Now..."
Chie turned away from Kachito, Zotawa also standing just two meters away, watching aswell. Chie looked over his shoulder as he began to walk away.
Chie: "I have taught all I can give. The rest of the things you learn, are lessons it is better to learn yourselves. Farewell, my students."
Kachito quickly tied Mochi to the waistband of his black gi, before bowing down to Chie, in an act of thanks. Zotawa too kneeled to bow down for Chie, his white gi rustling as he moved.
Kachito & Zotawa: "We understand Master Chie. Thank you for your wisdom and teachings."
Chie nodded over his shoulder, underneath the old man's facial hair a hint of a smile appeared. He turned away fully and walked away. Leaving his two students to start their journey.
Kachito looked at Zotawa, a challenging glare and a smug smirk. Zotawa returned it with a bitter one. Crossing his arms, Zotawa spoke.
Zotawa: "I can't believe I'm stuck with your dumbass, Mishimura."
Kachito: "Trust me, feeling is mutual."
Zotawa: "Good, I'm glad me and you are on the same terms so neither of us expects things that ain't gonna happen."
Kachito: "Yeah whatever, let's go Zotawa."
Zotawa sighed and the pair exited the dojo, the summer sun of Han'ei gracing their skin. Kachito took a big inhale of the calm breeze and opened his eyes with determination. He shot his right hand into the air, his prosthetic left clenched to a fist at his side.
Kachito: "Mark my words Han'ei! Kachito Mishimura will be the next Heavenly Swordsman! And today, is my starting point!"
Zotawa huffed and rubbed his eyelids, popping his neck before clearing his throat and speaking up.
Zotawa: "C'mon idiot, we gotta get a move on. Save the whole 'My dreams are coming true' speech for after we left the front door."
Kachito pouted but shrugged, taking the first steps forwards. The journey of Kachito Mishimura started on this day.
