Chapter 1 - Enter Kachito Mishimura

It was a warm summer's day in Han'ei, birds were chirping, the ants were gathering and going into their hills. The life of Han'ei was peaceful currently. Green grass, fragrant trees. A dojo stood alone in a calm locale, far from any villages. The name of the dojo was "Chie's Dojo."

A student here, was named Kachito Mishimura. He had distinctive white hair, hazel eyes, and light skin. His left arm was a prosthetic due to an injury he received on a mission a few years ago at this point. His age being 24, young but not an inexperienced age. He yearned to become the Heavenly Swordsman, a position which has remained open since the previous on perished, leaving the current Hakarin Era without the Heavenly Swordsman.

Chie's Dojo was infact run by a man named Chie. Chie Takahashi was a wise elderly man. But his age meant nothing when he was a formidable fighter still. His bald head, matched with a long grey beard, would give any the thought Chie was frail, yet this old man could throw down if needed.

Kachito's ambition often irked another student of Chie, a man named Zotawa Rodin. Zotawa was a runaway member of a clan allied with the organization that ran the world, the Global Government. His light blue hair a distinctive mark of his clan. His complection was more tanned than Kachito's. And his fighting style was also different. He used two katana instead of one like Kachito, preferring to dual wield to face his foes. His age is 26.

The pair, Kachito and Zotawa, are the top students of Chie, having immense potential. Chie could sense it, and one day, during a training session, Chie would call the two of them to meet him. He sat waiting on the tatami mats of the dojo's floor, sipping some tea.

Once Kachito and Zotawa entered the room Chie was waiting in, the old man spoke, wishing to convey what was on his mind.

Chie: "Zotawa, Kachito, I want you two to go out on a journey. I can sense something coming. I can feel it. From the tips of my fingers, to the hairs of my beard."

Kachito tilted his head, and eyebrow quirked up as he let out a "hm?" sound. He then opened his mouth to speak his mind.

Kachito: "What kind of journey do you wanna send us on, master?"

Chie opened his eyes, taking a sip of his tea and standing up from his seat.

Chie: "Kachito, you have the potential to be the Heavenly Swordsman. And this journey shall bring you the power to stop a great darkness I can sense in the air. Zotawa shall accompany you."

Zotawa's eyes shot wide, he was somehow surprised that he had begun choking, coughing before spitting out a response.

Zotawa: "What!? Master you cannot seriously be saying this-"

Chie: "Silence Zotawa. I may be getting up in the ages, yet I remain as diligent as when I was a young man. I know what I am doing. You two, am I understood."

Zotawa groaned before reluctantly nodding at Chie. Kachito however, smirked at Zotawa in a smug fashion, before nodding at Chie as well.

Chie: "Good. Now, before I turn you two loose, there is something I need to teach before you can be set out into the world. A thing you need to master, should you want a fighting chance."

Kachito and Zotawa hitched their breath, deep in their minds they knew what it was. Chie would teach them how to wield them energy of their life. The energy that flows like water yet destroys like fire, the energy running through the body of every human...

Chie: "I will teach you how to utilize Kami no Chikara."

Zotawa seemed mildly surprised, but then again it was well known that swordsman of all kinds needed at least basic mastery of it to stay alive in battle. Kachito's face glew, a smile adorning his lips, causing him to practically bounce.

Kachito: "Sweet! We're gonna learn how to manipulate Kami no Chikara!? Awesome!"

Zotawa: "Shut up you idiot! The master is speaking! Take this seriously you airhead!"

Chie: "ENOUGH BOTH OF YOU!!!"

Chie yelled, quickly silencing his students. He then beckoned the pair to follow him as he began walking. The two followed Chie, walking behind him. Eventually, all three arrived in a special training chamber.

Chie: "I shall now demonstrate proper usage..."

Chie began moving, almost like a liquid with the fluidity of his movements. After a while he held out his wrinkled hand, letting it gently flow in front of him. Before long, a white energy surrounded his hand.

Chie: "Kami no Chikara is the essence of human life. It runs through the body of every man, woman, and child. It is an essential tool for any respectable warrior to have."

Kachito and Zotawa looked surprised, in awe. They had seen brief glimpses throughout their lives, but had now witnessed it firsthand. They were both ready to start training in Kami no Chikara. Chie looked upon the two of them, thinking to himself, "Kami no Chikara takes years to learn on a basic level. However, Zotawa should easily learn it in just hours due to the blood flowing through him. And Kachito..."

Chie knew something even Kachito did not know about himself. And that was the fact Kachito's Kami no Chikara reserves were exponentially higher than even Chie's own reserves. If he could tap into Kami no Chikara he would be formidable. Likely due to his genetics. After all...Chie knew the Mishimura bloodline was special.

Chie clapped his hands, snapping himself, Kachito, and Zotawa out of each other's thought processes. He glanced at his tea students.

Chie: "Now, we begin your training. This will take days. In order to get the hang of it that is. We start. Get to mimicking the movements I had performed."

Kachito and Zotawa both nodded, walking deeper into the special training room and beginning to mimic Chie's movements, this would be the first step of their journey.
