Synopsis

Chapter 1 - CHAPTER 1: So, I Got Summoned.

A sharp, metallic clink jolted the boy awake. He lay on a bed naked and in chains, surprised at his situation. He was in a dark room with only one window as a source of light. He could smell the faint scent of wax as if a candle had been put off. There were two girls—one on his left and the other on his right. The one on the left had blue hair, and the other on the right had brown hair.

The girls were sound asleep beside him, but that didn't bother the boy; what bothered him was that he wasn't in his room. The boy looked up at the ceiling and began to monologue.

My name is Tanaka Akihiko, and I'm 20 years old. To be frank, I was NEET.

I lived in a not-so-large apartment and yes, I collected money from my mother but don't lump me with all those other shut-in NEETs, at least I cleaned my room and at least I didn't just eat store-bought food I cooked my own food though it was mostly instant ramen.

The thing is, I have no idea how I ended up here. I remember scrolling through TikTok until I saw a picture of a girl from a manga named Hero's Quest—the caption was something along the lines of 'The greatest waifu in Hero's Quest.'

She had pink hair, pink eyes, and a voluptuous body. She was enchanting so I kinda had to read the book, you can't blame me. I mean digital girls are 100 times better than girls IRL, so I read the manga.

The manga had about 100 chapters but that was a piece of cake that I finished in an hour.

That was the greatest waste of time, the protagonist is the dumbest idiot I have seen in my life. And another thing is why is the plot so fricking convenient like come on. The worst thing is despite the mc having the best life and still acting like an idiot.

The book hasn't ended but I'm definitely not continuing reading that shit.

If I were to be in that book I would do a million times better.

If I were there, I would fix everything.

After finishing that shit book, I went to sleep because the human body also requires rest. When I woke up, I woke up here.

Why was I kidnapped?

I mean it's not like I'm some rich kid so why am I here?

With that, Akihiko finished his internal monologue. After he had briefly considered what to do, he shouted at the top of his lungs.

"Someone please save me I've been kidnapped." Akihiko shouted.

"What's with the noise?" Said the blue-haired girl.

"What's going on?" Said the brown-haired girl.

With that, the two girls were awoken. They were surprised at the sudden noise.

The blue-haired girl was visibly annoyed while the brown-haired girl was more tired than angry.

Though the girls were awoken, Akihiko didn't stop as he was determined to be found by anyone.

"Hey, what the hell are you trying to do." Said the blue-haired girl.

She didn't want to get found for kidnapping a man, so she had to shut up Akihiko.

"I wanted to start by tomorrow so you could at least relax a bit but now you're definitely getting it."

Getting it? Wait don't tell me she wants to rape me. Na, she probably just wants to hit me. Wait she wants to hit me, Akihiko thought.

"I-I-If you hit me, I'll scream harder." Akihiko replied.

"Oh, I won't hit you, but you'll definitely scream."

Her words scared Akihiko as he wasn't sure of what she meant and that left him disoriented—

She held onto his shirt and began to tear open his shirt, as a defense mechanism Akihiko tried to run—to no avail as he was still chained.

The blue-haired came closer and closer until—

Two boys suddenly burst into the room, stunning everyone.

"Kako are you sure we are at the right place?" Said a blonde-haired boy.

"Positive." Replied a green-haired boy.

Akihiko's heart sank. He knew that name—he had spent hours reading about them in Hero's Quest. That's when he wasn't just kidnapped. He was in the world of the manga he just read but that wasn't all.

Looking down at his torn clothes and well-built frame, he realized he was inhabiting a person's body.

"Ryuzuru Daichi." He whispered, horror dawning on him. " I genuinely barely remember anything about him. He must have been a side character that got demoted to a background character."

Kako and the blonde-haired boy approached the chained figure, their expressions cautious but determined.

"You are Daichi, right?" Kako asked, his voice firm yet kind.

"Of course, he is look at that rare white hair." The blonde-haired boy replied in a stern tone.

"Souta it isn't good to assume just based on hair." Kako replied.

"I should be telling you that. Please remind me who mixed up Apponoses with Pinnanoses, saying as long as it's red it's an Apponose."

They began to argue about who judges more on appearances; Souta stopped arguing as he wanted to seem like the bigger person.

"But just to be sure, Are you Daichi?"

Akihiko—no, Daichi—nodded reluctantly, keeping his responses curt to avoid suspicions.

"So, then you two are the bad guys." Kako said referring to girls who had kidnapped Daichi. When he turned to them, they had already left.

"Uh Souta should we go after them." Kako asked unsure on what to do.

"No leave them be." Souta replied coldly.

They removed the chains and began to leave.

"Hey, at least say thank you." Kako said.

"Why would I say thank you? It's not like I asked you to save me."

I'm sorry but I have to act like this bitch if not you guys might get suspicious.

Daichi thought silently.

Kako laughed while Souta sighed. They both expected Daichi not to be thankful they had even gotten used to it.

As they navigated the narrow room, Akihiko struggled to reconcile his situation. He had mocked the characters, but he was going to become a background character.

After leaving the dark room, the trio made their way through the bustling streets, the midday sun casting long shadows.

The city had many people, as well as stalls and even different animals that looked otherworldly. Despite how medieval the world looked it was actually set in the future.

Wow Aeternie is so—

bland, what the hell it looks like your basic medieval world.

Well this is the boonies so I shouldn't really expect much but at least the lord of the land should do something about how backward this place this looks. Then again that bum, Monser Teruch will never do shit.

Daichi sighed internally about how backward and bland the landscape looked. The lord of the land, His excellency Monser Teruch was an eccentric man and thus never cared about landscape despite having the land for about 2000 years.

After some time, the trio noticed they had gone round a certain house 3 times. Kako led the way, his sense of direction as terrible as Daichi remembered.

"Are we lost?" Souta asked, exasperated.

"No, I'm just… figuring it out." Kako replied, scratching the back of his head and laughing nervously.

Heugh. It seems he is still the same as he was in the book. If I were to use a character to describe each person here—Kako would be Zoro I mean he even has the green hair, Souta would be Sasuke, and I would be Bakugo but without the abilities or anything.

Worst of all is that I know I'm gonna get demoted to being a background character, but I have no idea about when, where, or how.

Daichi sighed—this time outwardly, about his unlucky situation.

After walking around for some time, a girl approached them, her smile radiant and her demeanor disarming.

"Excuse me, are you looking for Monser Teruch's manor? I know the way."

"Oh really, thanks we owe you a bunch." Kako said bowing to say thank you and Souta did same, but Daichi didn't still trying to appear stubborn.

The girl led them to the manor, grinning as she did so. While it wasn't weird that she knew the way to the manor as that was the house of the lord of the land, it was quite strange that she didn't just point them in the right direction and leave it at that.

Though it may be because she might want a reward or want to meet the lord of the land.

They eventually reached the manor the girl still followed them into the manor.

The moment they stepped into the manor, the atmosphere shifted. Daichi's body instantly told him to run but he was confused as he was supposed to run from what. The girl hair changed from brown to red.

The girl's kind smile turned wicked, and she began to laugh as two men emerged from the shadows.

Entering into Monser Teruch's household is an insane feat as he uses special magic to shield it unless you are part of his household you cannot enter until someone allows you.

At this moment, it clicked in Daichi's head—Daichi didn't become a background character he died, unlike Kako or Souta he doesn't know how to use magic, so he is at an obvious disadvantage.

Chaos erupted as Kako and Souta fought the two men. Daichi tried to run until—

The girl whose name is Mikon Rino came in front of Daichi walking toward him sadistically—

She dashed in front of him, kicking him, making him fly across the room as if he were a soccer ball.

Despite the glaring pain, Daichi stood up grinning.

"Puh-lease I've received better beatings from high school bullies. Don't tell me the daughter of Makojon is a pussy." Daichi grinned putting up a fighting stance—using his left hand to gesture Mikon to 'bring it on'.

Mikon was momentarily confused then she grinned.

"I'm going to remove those red eyes of yours then we'll see who is still smug." Mikon grinned menacingly.

I'll just have to dodge and block until either Kako or Souta finish their fights.

Daichi exhaled deeply to prepare his mind as his hands were still shaky.

"We'll have to see abou—"

Mikon gave Daichi a punch to his ribcage breaking all of his ribs and making him fly out of the building.

Now in the garden, the pain rendered Daichi unable to move. His face twisted in pain as he coughed up blood, it seemed Mikon also caused internal damage to his liver, his intestine, his kidney and even his lungs. Due to that fact Daichi was gasping for air.

"Heyo." Mikon said instantly appearing before—

Punching Daichi's jaw off—

Daichi desperately held unto his jaw to reduce the bleeding, he began to cry as he couldn't handle the pain.

Mikon removed one of Daichi's eyes holding it in her hands—

Daichi shouted so loud that everyone in the manor could hear his voice.

"Now how do you know I'm the daughter of Makojon."

"I-I-I read it in a book."

"Wrong answer." Mikon deadpanned in monotone, as she removed his left leg.

She cut it so effortlessly one would think his legs were made of cotton. As she cut his legs, Daichi began to shout louder.

"Please Mikon I-I-I'm sorry you can ask me any question you wanted t-t-t-to ask Teruch. If you want, you can even kill Kako or Souta but p-p-please spare me." Daichi said desperately begging for his life.

Mikon held unto her chin for a while as if thinking on Daichi's words.

It's not like she can kill the main characters but at least she'll leave me for some time.

"Nope I'll just kill you."

"W-W-Wait Mikon you're not a killer j-j-just rethink this."

"I hate the fact that you act as if you know me—

I am a killer and love chopping up people for example look at your juicy red eyes I love them sooooo much~

On one hand, I want to remove your eyes and on the other hand, I want to watch you die. Well since I have already removed an eye I might as well just watch you die.

The long and short of it is I LOVE KILLING PEOPLE~" Mikon deadpanned.

No matter what she said she didn't seem to be actually enjoying this but it seemed Daichi is not leaving this place alive.

"Mi—"

Mikon sliced his throat, cutting his vocal cords then she crouched as she watched Daichi die and fade away.

Shit I'm going to die and I can't do anything about it. I'm scared I don't wanna die I haven't even done shit all I've done is waste my life on anime and manga. I even became a NEET , please God I don't wanna die. Please some save me—

Daichi Ryuzuru—or rather Akihiko Tanaka died, darkness consumed him. Akihiko felt weightless, lost in an endless void. Then, faintly, he heard it: the ticking of a clock.

His eyes snapped open, and he gasped for air. He was on a bed with chains in between two girls.

"W-W-What the hell? That's Impossible, I-I-I died."

He was in the same dark room. The same chains.

The same beginning.

He wasn't just in the world of Hero's Quest. He was trapped in a loop by an unknown power.

This time, he vowed that he would live, that things would be different.

"This time." Akihiko muttered, determination flaring in his eyes. "I'm rewriting this story."
