Chapter Three
"You okay? Mind us checking the car?"
I had to compel a smile. We could go to jail. If at all there's a dead body at the back of this 1930 Cadillac V16, and these cops found out… we could be taken to court and sentenced to death.
Still in this situation, the skies were beginning to darken. The snow's still falling and the atmosphere was cool. The only thing that's hot is me and the only thing that's not falling lightly is my heart; I could feel it almost come completely out of my chest.
I felt angry.
The policeman pointed a torchlight at my face causing irritation in my eyes. He soon disconnects the light from my face after I compelled a fake grin.
"You sure you're okay there, Lady?" The policeman asked me in a gentleman's tone.
I feigned an amiable expression and Luscious proceeded to talking with the policeman. They talked like they were pals. I faced the other way feeling anger swell in my guts. If I had a say in anything.. or if I were listened to, I'd beg Luscious to not smoke before meeting up with me and perhaps not talk in my face after doing that.
'What could I do? I'm just a woman '
"See, girly. I told you I got this," Luscious proudly said as they let us drive away from the checkpoint.
Cold sweat dried on my skin. "We could've gone to prison." I frowned in dismay.
Luscious retorted, "But we won't. Not feel scared when you're with me," He proceeded to touching my laps using his fingers which made me feel uncomfortable. He caressed my thighs like the pervert he was and with disgust in my soul, I spanked his palm and kept a stern face.
He hissed, then chuckled it was supposed to be a funny joke to him. I stared at the window with head resting on it.
You know that thing when you're trying to be heard so you roar louder than a lion, but it still doesn't work and you're seen as a pet mouse meant to be played with instead.
Yeah.
That's how I felt.
