"Honey, I'm sorry," Lucas said in his softest tone of voice. Trying to make Haisley no longer angry with him.
"Tsk!" groaned Haisley in annoyance.
"That jerk said he was going to lose his partnership with the Hercules company. Damn it! I was fooled by that old man!" cursed Haisley in annoyance, causing a frown to appear on Lucas' forehead.
"What do you mean, honey?" asked Lucas, not understanding what Haisley was saying. No, it wasn't what Haisley had said about Xaverio's cooperation but what Haisley had said that she had been fooled. What did his wife mean if she was fooled by Hercules?
"You don't understand what I'm saying?" asked Haisley, whose face was irritated that Lucas was so slow to understand her words.
"Hercules, the old man Mister Lucas's parents trust, is the mastermind behind this," said an angry Haisley.
"That's not what I'm asking. What do you mean you were fooled?" asked Lucas, looking seriously at Haisley.
