Chapter 15 - "Shadows of Vengeance: A Son's Unyielding Resolve" nama

Kang Min stood bound in an old warehouse filled with dark shadows and the smell of rusty iron. All around him, several of the known fugitive's men stared at him with threatening eyes. However, Kang Min kept smiling sarcastically, even in a situation that was clearly not in his favor.

The man, who had a large tall stature and a face full of scars, walked over with slow but stressful steps. His eyes flashed with anger as he spoke. "You really are a reckless boy. Daring to admit to killing my brother in front of all these people. Do you think your life is more expensive than my brother's?"

Kang Min chuckled, making the man even angrier. "Your brother's life? Hah, he doesn't even deserve to live. He framed my father to death, and my brother had to lose his life. So, yeah, I finished him off. Do you think I'll regret it?"

The man snorted, then roughly pulled Kang Min's hair until their faces faced each other. "You really don't know your limits, kid. You think you have the right to speak here? Now I want to know, who's been protecting you all this time? Who is your backing? Don't think you can get away without naming names!"

Kang Min looked at him coldly, even though pain was erupting from his head. "Backing? I don't have any. I did this on my own. And you know what? You deserve to die more than your brother. Your business, that human trafficking, is reason enough for me to destroy you."

The man growled angrily and threw Kang Min to the floor. "You stubborn brat! You think you know everything? You don't know anything about me!"

Meanwhile, at the hospital, Kim Hanna was anxiously looking after Kang Min's mother. The mother was getting weaker, but Hanna tried to stay strong in front of her. In the same room, Lee Jong and Sung Jae find Kang Min's cell phone left on the table. They immediately contacted Choi Sang Woo.

Sang Woo who was circling the hospital with Ji Ho immediately received the call. "What? Kang Min didn't bring his cell phone?" Sang Woo massaged his temples, feeling that something was wrong. Ji Ho, who was standing next to him, seemed to be thinking hard.

"He left his cell phone on purpose, or maybe he was kidnapped when he got out of the hospital," Ji Ho said in a worried tone.

Sang Woo immediately nodded. "Take my cell phone. Call some police agents. We'll make this an opportunity to uncover the fugitive's crimes."

Ji Ho nodded and immediately took Sang Woo's cell phone to call for help.

On the other hand, Lee Jong and Sung Jae who are in the hospital decide to contact Lee Ju Nan,. They ask for his help to track down Sang Woo and Ji Ho's whereabouts. Lee Ju Nan agrees and immediately prepares a team to help find Kang Min's whereabouts.

However, there is one other unexpected person involved. The quiet girl in Kang Min's class, named eum byeul, accidentally saw the kidnapping incident. Eum byeul, who had been known as a quiet but intelligent student, had martial arts skills that were unknown to many. He quickly followed the mysterious car carrying Kang Min to an old building on the edge of town.

When he arrived there, eum byeul was surprised to see a tense atmosphere. However, without hesitation, he approached the building and took out several guards with his agile and well-trained martial arts moves. He knew he was taking a big risk, but his curiosity about what was happening kept him from backing down.

Meanwhile, inside the building, Kang Min was trying to remain calm, despite his battered body. "You think I'm afraid of you?" he said in a loud voice to the man. "I don't care about your threats. You can kill me, but all the evidence about your crime will be revealed."

The man laughed sarcastically. "You're overconfident, boy. I can make you disappear without a trace. No one will know what happened to you."

However, before the man could continue with his threat, a noise from outside the building caught everyone's attention. One of his men ran in. "Boss, there's someone attacking our guards outside!"

The man growled. "Who dares to interfere with my plans?!"

Moments later, Choi Sang Woo and Ji Ho arrived at the scene, bringing a police team to surround the building. Sang Woo who saw eum byeul fighting some guards approached her. "Hey, young lady! Get out of here, it's too dangerous for you!"

However, eum byeul didn't back down. "I can't leave before making sure Kang Min is safe!"

Ji Ho looked at Yoo Jin with admiration. "This girl is amazing. But we have to go in before it's too late."

Sang Woo finally let eum byeul help them. With a well-planned strategy, they made it into the building and found Kang Min.

Upon seeing Sang Woo, Ji Ho, and eum byeul, Kang Min smiled slightly. "You guys really came, huh? I thought I had to face this alone."

The man, now cornered, tried to escape, but the police team managed to catch him. Kang Min, although injured, was satisfied to see the man finally taken down. However, in his heart, he knew that this was just the beginning of his long struggle to protect his family.

Just as Kang Min was about to fall over from exhaustion, the door of the old building suddenly burst open. The sound of quick footsteps could be heard, and soon, Lee Jong, Sung Jae, and Lee Ju Nan appeared with their team. They immediately joined Choi Sang Woo and Ji Ho to make sure everyone was safe.

"Kang Min!" Lee Jong called out in a worried voice when he saw Kang Min's wounded state. He immediately ran over to his brother and helped untie the ropes binding Kang Min's hands. "Are you okay?"

Kang Min smiled weakly. "I'm still alive, but I'm not sure I can call it okay."

Sung Jae approached them with a mixed expression of worry and anger. "Kang Min, what were you thinking? Leaving without telling us? You know this could have ended much worse!"

"He's stubborn," Lee Ju Nan added in a cold voice, though it was clear that she was also relieved that Kang Min was safe. "But this isn't the time to discuss that. We need to get everyone out of here before things get more complicated."

Meanwhile, eum byeul stood in the corner of the room, observing them from a distance. He wasn't used to attention, especially in a situation like this. However, Choi Sang Woo's inquisitive gaze made him uncomfortable.

"Hey," Sang Woo said as he approached Yoo Jin, "you really helped us earlier. You're pretty good for a high school student. Who are you?"

Eum byeul shook his head softly, not wanting to talk about himself. "I just happened to be in the wrong place at the right time. Besides, Kang Min is my classmate. I couldn't keep quiet."

Sang Woo smiled slightly. "Anyway, we owe you thanks."

On the other hand, the man who had threatened Kang Min was now handcuffed by the police. With a face full of anger, he tried to rebel but couldn't do anything. "It's not over yet!" he shouted, trying to intimidate them. "You'll all be sorry for interfering!"

Kang Min gave him a sharp look. "Precisely because it's not over, I'll make sure you can't hurt anyone again."

Lee Ju Nan approached the man and spoke in a low but authoritative tone. "All your crimes are enough to get you locked up for life. Don't expect to get away this time."

Once everything was under control, the police team led the man and his men out of the building. Meanwhile, Kang Min and the others returned to the hospital. Eum byeul refused to go and said goodbye on the grounds that he wanted to return home, but before leaving, Kang Min had time to approach him.

"Hey," Kang Min called, making eum byeul stop. "Thank you. I don't know what would have happened if you weren't there."

Eum byeul just smiled a little. "Don't think about it too much. Make sure your mom is okay."

Kang Min nodded, then watched eum byeul leave without another word. However, in his heart, he felt indebted to the girl.

At the hospital, Kang Min's mother had passed the critical period, although her condition was still weak. Kim Hanna remained by his side, accompanying and guarding him all the time. When Kang Min entered the room, Hanna immediately stood up and approached him.

"Kang Min! Where did you go? You know we're all worried!" scolded Hanna in an angry yet caring tone.

"I'm fine," Kang Min replied, though it was clear that he was exhausted. "How's mom?"

Hanna sighed. "She's stable for now, but the doctor said we should prepare for the worst."

Kang Min fell silent, feeling guilty for leaving his mother at a time like this. Lee Jong who was standing behind him patted his shoulder. "Kang Min, the most important thing now is to make sure we stay strong for mom. Don't beat yourself up too much."

Sung Jae added, "We made it through tonight. That's enough for now."

Kang Min nodded slowly, then walked over to his mother's bed. He grasped his mother's hand tightly, promising in his heart that he would do everything to protect his family, no matter how hard the odds were against him.
