"Oi, Kuroe, going home early?" My friend asked.

"Mhm. My father just came back from the city, I need to welcome him home." I said as I grabbed my shinai, and put my books inside my bag.

"I see, tell him I said hi. Good luck." He said and gave me a wink and a thumbs up.

"Sure. I'll be going then." I put on my bag and started to make my way out.

My father was a scientist and a mage, he often goes to the city for their studies.

After what happened fifty years ago, the world changed drastically. Though I haven't yet seen it for myself, they said that trains back then runs on fixed railings, but now their not. There are even floating holograms of schedules.

"Is magic really that convenient?" I asked myself as I walk to the station.

The air is kinda hot because it's currently summer here in Hokkaido. Our summer break was just announced to start today.

"By the way, to what thing should I spend my summer?" I wondered.

As I reached the station, I rode a train.

There's not so many people here inside, so taking a seat didn't go that hard.

The ride didn't take that long, I reached my destination in minutes, thanks to the bullet train.

"I'm home!" I said as I opened the door and stepped inside.

"Oh, Kuroe, Welcome home." My mother said and approached me.

"How's your day?" She asked and took my backpack from me.

"It went just fine. By the way, where's father?" I asked and get to the living room.

"Oh, he said he's already on the way. Wait for him here, I'll finish my cooking first." She said with a smile before going back to the kitchen.

"Okay." I replied and made my way to my room to change clothes.

Right after changing, I took my books out of my bag and started to do the homeworks the teachers had piled up for us. I wouldn't be able to enjoy my summer if I have homeworks to worry about.

*Ding dong*

The doorbell sounded. I hurriedly stood up from where I am sitting and go to the door.

"Who is it?" I asked.

"Oh, it's me." The guy from the other side said.

I'm certain of it, that voice was from my father!

I opened the door in a hurry, and as soon as I saw my dad, I jumped to infront of me, aiming for a hug.

"Welcome home!!!" I said.

I grabbed his shoulders and snuggled my face to him, I missed his warmth. But why do I feel a bit weird. Was my father using girl cologne? And... Wh-why is it so... Soft...?

Something's wrong! I slowly opened my eyes and infront of me was a her and not a him.

I leapt back so quickly I almost tripped over my own feet.

"S-sorry!" I said and bowed. I can feel my face getting hotter than the air outside...

I just embarrassed myself...

"Hahaha, your son's still as funny as ever, Kazuki." Another voice of a man said.

I slowly lifted my head and peek, infront of me was my father and his friend, and before them was... A demi-human maiden in a dress...?
