After leading her to some open seats, we settled in, but she went stiff once again.
The reason for this was the theaters choice of seating.
This theater didn't do individual seating but rather had setup seating similar to couches or loveseats, so that movie goers could be more comfortable within a seat that could recline and had a foot rest, or event to allow couple to snuggle up whilst watching their chosen cinematic experience.
I settled in like nothing was wrong but Amelia was clearly nervous.
She was about to become alone on the same couch in the dark with me, a not so well know young man, one whom she had recently started to think romantically about without my knowledge.
Taking this opportunity, I reached out with the classic move to extend my arm behind her, before pulling her closer to me so that we were shoulder to shoulder.
"I'll keep you warm if you're cold."
"N-no, that's... well, thank you."
Pulling off a misunderstood cheesy line, as if her slight shaking was due to the temperature and not her own nervousness, she tried to deny at first but then quickly changed her mind and settled into my embrace further.
Deciding to push the boundary just a little bit more my free hand dipped into the popcorn bag, pulling out a few kernals but I didn't move my hand to my own mouth but instead towards hers.
She seemed a little confused at first seeing the slowly approaching cooked corn.
"Open up."
I playfully said to her, and slowly her cute little mouth did indeed open allowing me to place the few kernals into her mouth before she closed it and began to chew, almost in revenge, she then took her dainty little hand and returned the favor but I didn't need her to tell me to open my mouth instead I moved my mouth forwards to gobble up the provided corn, actually taking in one of her fingers a little before she hastily extracted it and hiding her hand at her side.
"mmm tasty."
After I swallowed the provided bite I let loose this little tidbit but was unable to gauge her reaction as the theaters lights dimmed right at that moment, but if I was a betting man i'd wager she was blushing pretty badly right about now.
With the lights dimmed, the event started, and some ads started to flash up on the screen our regularly scheduled brainwashing my corporations before being allowed to witness what most of us paid to see.
Once the ads finished the real show began, and I could tell Amelia had 100% focused onto the screen, her attention faded away to the point I didn't really exist anymore, that just how into Uno she was.
Since this was a fan creation this video was not true to the actually story but more of a parody created to alter the story and steer the general direction into one that at least those in the audience here preferred more than the story already released by the author and director.
I had watched the show myself and as the new content appeared on the screen I couldn't help but find myself leaning more towards this recreated fan version over the original script.
This gave Uno and the other characters better backgrounds, better screentime and rather than just a harem appearing it gave the main character proper time and scenarios upon which to collect his diversified harem along with breakaways to allow for proper 1-1 time for those with different personalities like Uno to get their chances in the limelight to truly be with the hero.
If I'm honest it gave me more ammunition with which to better run my own harem that I was developing.
As I looked to my side, I could see from the screen illumination that Amelia was greatly enjoying herself as she was smiling a lot and laughing whenever there were jokes.
Finally after the entire show had air under this redux the audience all began to clap as the theater lights came back up illuminating the room once again.
Amelia returned her focus to me, but didn't care about our current closeness instead she just closed her eyes and started to speak endlessly.
"It was the best! The best of the best ooooo it was soooooo great."
When she finally stopped providing her review she sat with such a smile that I felt blessed being able to witness it.
"Uno was just amazing, and everyone really loved seeing her getting a more starring role!"
I had no response since she was right and since I was still to busy revelling in her own excitement.
"I'm so happy I got to attend and see this, everything new was just the best, this was the true show on that should have been made to begin with."
"Ha ha ha, you're right about that, this was way more enjoyable to watch!"
Since the show was over we got up and left in the theater lobby a popup store was created allowing for the selling of merchandise, some from the regular production run, while others were recreations by the event hosters who were selling these 'knock-offs'.
Amelia quickly dragged me forward by our still linked hands an scoured everything they had to offer.
She wound up buying just about one of everything they had to offer, well except for the items she already had from the regular production run.
To earn more points I offered to pay for her, which she tried to refuse but I was obstinant I mean I was the one who invited her and well a gift of Uno accessories would surely be a goodway into her heart.
But the one that actually netted me a 1% bump in her loyalty was when I sighted and nabbed up two of the final Uno keychains and offered one to her so that we could be 'matching'.
As she put it, 'we only got them thanks to me saving us by the skin of our teeth' this was of course a reference to the show itself.
After we left the theater we started to just walk around to really take in the moment, but then out of no where she stopped turning to me, before raising her newest Uno Keychain up to eye Level.
"Let's play!"
