Monare's POV:
As I jumped off the wall, I ran to a tiny alley and exploited the contained space between to help me climb successfully, using a mix of my claws and feet to ascend the room of the adjoined house. I sprinted across the roof, jumping from one spot to another while remaining silent.
I ran beside the room's built-in wall, occasionally even on the roof itself. The roofs were fashioned of a complex combination of reef, poles, and clay. As a result, I had to run slowly and carefully while keeping an eye on where the blue-haired man was going.
I felt a bit tired; maybe it was due to the fact that I was using my sweat as a substitute for moisture wetness instead of water. I had utilized a little bit of mana for manifesting my scaled hands and claws.
An exile's condition and mana can compete; the normal human has mana, but without a spirit tether, they cannot utilize its full power. Like the blue haired man using his exile's condition which demands fury and mana to ignite his hand, it is a complicated existence between affinity of the tether and the mana necessary to employ the fullest of the affinity skills.
If someone runs out of mana, they can use their exile condition, which allows them to activate tether's powers without using mana, although it has a significant disadvantage. It makes the user of the tether become what they are chained to… the spirit within.
However, Monare had not been using mana due to the fact that he did not know any techniques. His father had not left him with any scrolls and books about mana rotation and mana manipulation.
Nevertheless, he was left with techniques of cultivating the spirit tether energy that was very potent and filled with impurities, so a cleansing technique was beginning stage for Monare to use when he was still at Core one student.
He was still confused because he was new to the world and had not met someone who could show him how to use his abilities effectively. Monare's nose began to turn into aquatic-like nostrils, but he quickly clutched his head as his eyes dimmed from the blue light.
The voice laughed at him, saying:
"Throughout my life as an immortal being who has been tethered to great warriors from history. I've never met anyone who can withstand my influence for long; once, an old man held out for ten years."
Monare amused the Tokoloshe by asking, "What are you trying to say?"
The voice predicted Monare's fate: "You will give up and face the written destiny of being tethered to a spirit." The spirit will win due to them being immortal and you kid being a human of flesh and blood, the things we regard petty and non-important. "Hah, you die, and we will live for centuries on Earth until we find another idiot to manipulate."
Monare chuckled and asked, "How did my father capture and force you to help me?"
The Tokoloshe remained silent for a moment before responding:
"I have no intention of helping someone who cannot even do simple mana rotation as a Core 2 spirit tether." Before I take over, I am astonished by your ability to partially and perfectly transform certain of your bodily parts into those of my original body. The major reason I don't assist you regulate my power is because I want to see a miracle."
"A miracle?" Monare inquired, confused.
The voice laughed, and its echoing voice returned to my thoughts, leaving me alone in my mind once more.
Monare stood on a roof, watching where the blue-haired man was going; during his conversation with the spirit, Monare had not moved much.
So he had to catch up, with that thought coming to his mind. Monare started to chase after the blue haired man without raising alarm from the homeowners that did not know that he was running on their roofs.
***
The blue-haired man arrived at the merchant's house drenched in sweat from head to toe. His exile's condition required him to experience an emotion that instilled desire in his body, which was rage.
His fury caused his body to emit steam and glow crimson, symbolizing his transformation into his spirit.
He grinned as he approached the door and knocked; after a time, a servant arrived, and the man asked:
"Where is the boss?"
"He's in the chambers with some guests," she replied to the question.
The man scoffed and said:
"Take me to him"
"Right away, sir," she answered, bowing respectfully.
