The two demigods, Lin and Buck, found themselves ensnared in a perilous dilemma. They stood at a crossroads: one path led to the escaped demon lord, a tempting source of power, while the other beckoned them to confront the newly transformed vampire marionettes, Amina and Lila. The allure of the demon lord's blood promised a significant boost in mana, but the threat of the marionettes loomed ominously. They could unleash chaos upon the nearby village, wiping out its inhabitants before dawn. With the weight of their choices pressing down on them, they made a fateful decision to split up.
Buck took to the skies, his powerful wings propelling him into the air. He donned his golden glove, the all-seeing eye glinting in the fading light. This artifact was his beacon, capable of tracking the demon lord through the mana trails that lingered in the air. With a fierce determination, he braced himself and soared into the depths of the night, leaving Lin behind to face the impending storm.
Meanwhile, Lin steeled herself for the battle ahead. The air crackled with tension as Lila lunged at her, a blur of speed and ferocity. Lin swung her katana, aiming to slice through Lila's form, but the vampire marionette was faster. With a swift motion, Lila evaded and retaliated, her claws glinting like sharpened steel. The clash of metal echoed as Lin parried, each strike a desperate attempt to keep Lila at bay. But the fight took a brutal turn as Amina joined the fray. In a heartbeat, she seized Lin's hoodie, yanking her backward into a vice-like grip.
The punch that followed was like a freight train; it sent Lin crashing through the wall, the impact rattling her senses. Pain surged through her body, a stark reminder that she was no longer facing mere humans. Regaining her footing, Lin launched herself at Amina, her katana slicing through the air with lethal precision. But Lila was relentless, regenerating in an instant and pouncing at Lin with a ferocity that took her breath away. The two engaged in a frenzied dance of slashes and counters, their movements a blur of speed and strength.
Just when Lin thought she had the upper hand, Amina's grip tightened, pulling her back into a crushing embrace. The air rushed into Lin's lungs and blood pumped into her fist as she landed a heavy punch to Amina's gut, feeling the impact reverberate through her arm. But Amina merely spat blood, a cruel smile twisting her lips as she writhed in pain yet remained unyielding. The battle raged on, each moment filled with the tension of life and death, the fate of the village hanging in the balance.

Buck soared towards the vampire lord, his formidable glove with the eye tracking the Mana trails until he closed in on his adversary. As soon as he was within sight of the vampire lord, he executed a powerful flap of his wings, propelling himself forward with great speed and grasping the vampire lord in his hands. However, the vampire lord vanished from his grip in an instant, showcasing his tremendous speed, and reappeared behind Buck, delivering a powerful kick to his ribs that sent him tumbling to the ground. Just before impact, Buck regained his composure and flapped his wings, ascending into the air once more, while the vampire lord, sensing his movement, darted towards him like a falcon swooping down to catch its prey, once again knocking him off balance.
This encounter revealed the full extent of the vampire lord's power. As Buck contemplated his next move, he received a punishing blow to his stomach, crashing onto the roof of a nearby house with a resounding thud, startling a child who had been peacefully sleeping. The child, wide-eyed and frightened, peered over the edge of the bed as the vampire lord struck Buck again, further alarming the young one. Buck, now on his feet and spitting blood, had finally deciphered the vampire lord's tactics; it was his time to retaliate. The glove expanded, enveloping his body like a suit of armor, with the eye positioning itself at the center of his chest. He noticed the flicker of fear in the vampire lord's eyes as he witnessed this transformation, prompting the vampire lord to attempt an escape. Buck seized the opportunity, capturing him and slamming him to the ground with tremendous force, delivering a powerful kick to his abdomen.
The vampire lord transformed into a bat, but Buck swatted it from the air, forcing it back into its original form. Now, face to face with one of the most formidable creatures he had ever encountered, Buck was acutely aware of the need to protect the child whose slumber had been disrupted. If the vampire lord managed to seize her, he could use her as a shield, threatening Buck with the child's life.
After Buck fully transformed adding layers to his armor since he now had a chance to fight without holding back, he finally had a chance to defeat the Vampire Lord and capture him. However, before he could act, the Vampire Lord rushed forward to seize the child. Grasping her tightly, he soared into the air through the gaping hole in the roof. Buck found himself at a standstill, unable to land any significant blows on the Vampire King for fear of harming the innocent child. The Vampire Lord taunted him mercilessly, which only fueled Buck's annoyance.
Concentrating deeply, he harnessed a beam of power absorbed from the previous strikes he endured and transformed it into a high-powered projectile. With a swift motion, he sent it hurtling towards the child. The projectile pierced her head, killing her instantly, while simultaneously wounding the Vampire Lord as it struck his chest. The evil creature plummeted to the ground, clutching the lifeless child in his hands. Buck swiftly descended to catch them both.
Unbeknownst to him, the child's blood mingled with that of the Demon Lord. As he grasped the wounded Vampire Lord, preparing to walk away, the child suddenly awakened, her newfound vampiric abilities surging forth. She dashed forward, knocking Buck off balance, and with a burst of profound strength, the Vampire Lord broke free from Buck's grip, soaring into the air.
Now, Buck was left with the child, whom he had no choice but to eliminate before she could spread the vampire virus throughout the village. If they were fortunate, he could contain the threat; if not, she could annihilate the entire settlement. Focusing once again, he concentrated another beam of power and unleashed it upon the child, incinerating her instantly. A wave of guilt, sharp and icy, washed over him. He had taken a life, a child's life, and the weight of that decision pressed down on him with crushing force. He buried her ashes deep in the ground after blasting a hole into the earth. The silence that followed was deafening, filled only with the echoes of his own remorse. With a heavy heart, he flew away, knowing he had to check on Lin, as he sensed a dangerously low level of her mana. She might not survive much longer unless he rushed to her side. Leaving the ashes of the child behind, he took to the skies once more, the image of the child's lifeless eyes burned
