Four days after Master Yao had just succeeded in refining the four pills, the sound of a bell could be heard within the range of the Li clan.
Li Tian that had just woken up was shocked, but reacted.
"The call to enter the Prehestoric ruins! I should rush to the meeting point." As he thought of this, he hurriedly put on his neat worn out clothes. He then picked another pair as well as leftover food, tied them in a bundle together with the extra pair of clothes before rushing off.
He didn't go to inform Master Yao about his departure, as the old man was not present. Even if he was around, telling him might not change anything. But he still held onto the several waste pills he had been given by master Yao over the years and tightened them in the small piece of cloth around his waist.
A lone figure could be seen rushing foward towards the meeting point. The cloth bag toes around his shoulder was bouncing as he rushed foward.
Li Tian's hope in this world was put in this journey and the moment he saw the massive stone pillar standing at the center of the Li clan he was relieved. He didn't slow down in the slightest even when he could see the destination was in sight.
As he rushed towards the clan meeting point, the Patriarch of the Li clan was meeting with a guest.
Master Yao was also present, as well as the woman that had taken the pills from him before. The person in the hall was clearly a woman but beside her two young men could be seen.
The woman looked at that Li clan Patriach and said, "Brother! I initially wanted to ask you to refine some treasures for your nephews but since you are about to take some members to explore the ruins, we should discuss this later."
The Li clan Patriach was not a fool and could almost guess the woman was not speaking facts.
Looking at the two young men before him, who had handsome faces but nothing else worth noting, he sighed inwardly.
It was impossible to ask him to refine treasures for someone that couldn't even be able to wield them.
To put it bluntly, the two young men were incapable of cultivating, and useless. The woman just went through all of this to get a chance for her sons.
It was just that the head of the Li clan didn't mind, but the dangers present in the ruins were something beyond his control.
The Prehestoric ruins were not some good place. The moment this woman asks for a chance, he will not hesitate to pass it on, but he had a suspicion that wouldn't be enough.
Those useless sons of her's might die if they dare to step into the ruins, how could she not see this.
Since she had come to this place with only two of them it wasn't difficult to guess how things might develop.
"Sister Ziyi should just say what she wants. As long as it doesn't affect the family interests, anything is okay."
The moment the woman heard this she knew her previous plan might not be easy to accomplish.
It was impossible the clan she has married into to give her help with the matter she wanted. In their opinion the boys she had given birth to didn't have potential nor did they make any achievements for the clan to take risks for.
She clearly knew about the Li clan's visit to the Prehistoric ruins and decided to appear at the right time.
But she could already tell things were not going to happen the way she wanted.
The Li clan might be willing to take risks with clan members because they hoped one of them could stand up from the ruins and rise higher. It was unrealistic to expect the clan to sent others to take care of her son's.
"Sister Ziyi should not be a stranger to the ruins. I won't beat around the bush, it is dangerous. Nine out of ten people that enter this place don't come out and even that one that walks out might not have gained any opportunities but rather developed a twisted personality." He stated this without even concealing anything.
"You have come all the way from the Wang Clan as such should know that this Prehistoric Ruins are not some kind of good place the three clans got, rather the ruler of this region intentionally passed it on with their intent." He had already passed the warning and didn't care if this woman understood what he was saying.
After leaving the room, the Li clan Patriarch Li Tiandi brought a long a few elders. The woman was free to follow, but the consequences were on her. He left her alone with the two sons she had brought along to make a choice.
"Patriarch! That woman comes from the Wang clan after all. She is no longer related to our Li clan, is it okay for you to do this?" An elder asked as he followed behind the Patriach.
"Do you think she has the ability to mobilize the Wang clan? Besides, she indeed is no longer from the Li clan. All this years the clan has experienced a lot of tribulations, where was she? Now she suddenly appears and wants the clan to sacrifice its own people to help her useless sons get a chance in the ruins. I will he happy if our clan got a chance, do I look like I have time to care about another person's children?" The Patriach Li Tiandi probably didn't put that woman in his eyes.
What he said was indeed right and the elders agreed with it. The journey to the Prehistoric Ruins was not forced upon anyone, and those in the clan that wanted to go would be allowed.
People like Li Tian were not rare and they appeared from time to time. They were unwilling to be mediocre and if their luck allowed it, they might rise with some opportunities.
The chance of this happening was small, but if it dif happen, the Li clan would benefit by having another new practioner.
He didn't see any incentive to sacrifice the Li clan members for someone just because they called them brother.
His words were very clear to the woman, but she clearly seemed unwilling to pay. She wanted to ride a free train to success.
But an old fox like Li Tiandi was difficult to intimidate by using the name of a clan. She didn't have such influence and it seemed like she knew it.
In the hall, Ziyi and her two sons were the only ones left and she looked at them with a worried expression.
"Your uncle seems unwilling to help us. Are you willing to take the risk and step into the ruins? If you succeed your lives might be changed for the better." The woman asked her sons but none of them was motived to enter the ruins.
They were not fools, as they had heard something about this ruins.
"Sigh! You can't even take such a small risk!" She started to complain but they didn't move in the slightest.
They weren't deaf, they heard the words of Li Tiandi clearly, this ruins were made for desperate people who where willing to die to accomplish their goals. They clearly didn't think it was worth it.
But even so, they wanted to see the entrance to the ruins. They wanted to join the fun, as such the woman could only helplessly bring them out.
'After all I have do to try and help them enter the ruins they aren't even willing to risk their lives. Damn!' the woman indeed was angry.
She was obviously also angry at the Li clan for refusing to offer her help. The same was true for the Wang clan for letting her brave this situation alone.
As much as she was complaining, she didn't show it on the surface. It was a shame no one cared about her opinions, but she had already changed her mind.
"I can't miss this event. I just have to see those that walk out of the ruins safe and they will be the key to helping my two sons ubdergo a change." She had indeed changed her approach.
She didn't think it was worth it for her sons to take risks. She wanted to wait for the chances others gained on the outside.
When Li Tiandi reached the gathering point, Li Tian had already arrived. He was sitting down in the corner hidden and no one was even paying him attention.
He just regained focus when he heard Li Tiandi speak.
"The Prehistoric Ruins are very dangerous. Of those that enter many will not be able to walk out. No one is forcing you to enter. Those that are still going after knowing this, I hope you the best. Elder Wei will be taking you on this journey." He didn't continue speaking as he moved to the side.
He invited elder Wei that didn't make a lot of noise, rather he just took out a wooden whistle and blew into it.
