Chapter 3 - Introduction to the demonic Sect

I stepped out of my room with Mo Lin into the outdoors. The sun was shining, and the autumn breeze gently brushed against my face.

I glanced at my residence, located east of the sect's branch temple, as we walked through the training grounds. The area was bustling with hundreds of young disciples, all working diligently.

It was unfortunate, knowing that most of them would die before fulfilling their dreams.

In this world, no one is spared—not even the immortals.

But none of this mattered to me. With the system by my side, I would one day be the one to rewrite the rules of this cursed world.

Mo Lin and I continued walking until we passed by the Eastern Cherry Trees, their crimson leaves a signature of our demonic sect.

The silence was broken by Mo Lin's voice as she said,

"How many times have we walked through here?"

I smiled at her and replied,

"Countless times. They're good memories."

Suddenly, Mo Lin stopped walking, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear, and looked at me. She said softly,

"And I hope we make more."

Before I could respond, I heard some girls calling her name. She glanced at me and said,

"I have to go."

She left me standing there in a daze.

System Notification:

Young Master, sorry for interrupting your romantic moment, but I have your first mission.

I looked at the system and said,

"It's not a date; she's just a friend. But that doesn't matter. What's the mission?"

Mission: Establish a sect that challenges the heavens.

Time Limit: 66 days.

Reward: 100 points and four spiritual pills.

Yes/No

I stared in shock and exclaimed,

"Just 66 days?! Are you insane? I'll need at least four years for something like that!"

Young Master, I believe in you. Now, do you accept the mission?

I pressed "Yes" reluctantly and muttered,

"Let's do this, then. Building a sect... I'm sure I'll fail, but let's give it a try."

Don't worry, I'm with you. For now, you just need a morale boost. I trust in your potential.

The system disappeared from my view, and I decided to head to the training grounds. It was time to test whether my body was in good shape.

.

In one of the training arenas, I stood before a row of weapons—swords, spears, and others—gazing at them as I tried to determine which would best suit me.

The atmosphere was calm at first until I felt someone try to grab me. In the blink of an eye, I caught the person and swiftly threw them to the ground.

Suddenly, I heard multiple voices in front of me and looked up to see a group of second-level sect trainees. One of them exclaimed,

"Guys, Yan Tian just took down Huang Luo!"

As soon as I heard that name, I looked down at Huang Luo, who was sprawled on the ground, his face seething with anger. He glared at me and said,

"You filthy insect, how dare you lay your dirty hands on me!"

Huang Luo was one of the nine geniuses of the Demonic Sect.

With his massive physique, he was considered the most dangerous trainee of this era. The spiritual energy around him began to flare up, glowing intensely red. He declared,

"You'll die by my hands, Yan!"

I looked at him and replied,

"You started this, not me. And how dare you call me an insect, you oversized ox!"

A window appeared in front of me:

Side Quest: Confront Huang Luo.

Reward: A rank upgrade and a surprise.

Yes/No

I chuckled and said,

"No problem."

Before I could even release my spiritual energy, Huang Luo's punch struck my face, sending me flying into the weapon rack, which shattered upon impact.

Everyone was stunned, even Huang Luo, who muttered,

"Did I kill him? What a headache."

But suddenly...

Huang Luo felt a kick to his face that sent him stumbling backward. He looked at me in disbelief as blood trickled from his nose.

The crowd erupted into chaos. Huang Luo's eyes blazed with fury as he roared,

"You filthy insect! I went easy on you!"

Dark, demonic energy began to condense around me as I said,

"I'll kill you, you oversized ox!"

Huang Luo smirked and said,

"Come at me, then!"

Our attacks were about to collide when suddenly, an overwhelming spiritual energy enveloped the entire area. Everyone froze as a commanding, yet ancient voice echoed,

"That's enough, both of you!"

An elderly man appeared. His stern features were framed by dark silver hair, and his eyes gleamed with disdain. He was none other than the Third Elder of the sect, Zhuo Tai.

He glanced at me and said,

"Yan Tian, your father awaits your presence in the Black Jade Hall."

The moment I heard those words, I nearly collapsed in fear. Even Huang Luo looked shocked and silently backed away, leaving the arena, followed by the crowd.

The sect elder turned to me and said,

"Come with me, Yan Tian."

I couldn't move my legs at first, but after a brief moment, I gathered the strength to walk beside him.

We walked for a long time until we entered the sanctum of the Demonic Temple. There, in front of me, stood the plaque engraved with crimson letters: Black Jade Hall.

I was standing before the place where the leader of the Demonic Sect resided—my father, Luo Tian.
