Chapter 9: The Ascension Speech
Lopkinnf knew that the game was just beginning, and to establish himself as a figure of power, he needed to dominate the scene without arousing suspicion. He had observed the other wealthy students at Zenith Academy carefully, identifying their weaknesses, their fears, and their desires. They were immature young people, ruled by lust, fear, and greed—he could easily manipulate them. The real question was how to do it without anyone noticing.
The Silent Manipulation
Lopkinnf began to use his sharp mind to devise a strategy. He knew that to win the loyalty of others, he needed something more powerful than simple persuasion. The trick was to make them want to follow his lead without even realizing they were being controlled. With the help of Cassio and Henrique, Lopkinnf was able to implement a plan that used discreet but potent drugs that the students would take without knowing, in the form of "special" vitamin supplements that he began to distribute gradually.
These pills, which were actually mixed with substances that manipulated people's behavior and minds, began to take effect slowly. With each passing day, his colleagues became more dependent on his presence, more inclined to accept his ideas and, most importantly, more willing to follow his orders. They became more docile, easier to control, and they did not know exactly why they were feeling so "attracted" to Lopkinnf's leadership. He never forced anyone to follow his will; he simply gave them the feeling that following him was the most natural thing in the world.
The students, now with their minds more malleable, began to see Lopkinnf as their natural leader, following him without question. Lopkinnf's control over the student elite was secure.
The Grand Speech
With everyone under his influence, it was time to make his big move. The election for the new student council president was coming up, and Lopkinnf knew this would be the turning point. With his allies in place and the other students under control, he prepared for the speech that would secure his rise to the top of the Zenith Academy hierarchy, and by extension, pave the way for his future presidency of the country of Jex.
On election day, Lopkinnf took the stage with confidence, his face impassive and his eyes sharp as razors. He looked out at the audience of imposing faces and expected them all to view him as an equal, for that was exactly what he would become—or rather, what he would make them believe he would become.
— "What is power?" Lopkinnf began, his voice soft and controlled, but filled with a quiet force. "Power is not about who has the most money or the most influence, but about who controls the minds, hearts, and actions of the people around them. I am the change you all seek but fail to see. I am the solution that is hidden in plain sight." He paused, watching the audience's reactions closely. Some students were visibly mesmerized, others looked perplexed, but none seemed to hesitate to accept his words. — "I am not just another pretty face of the elite. I am the force that will shape Jex, the force that will make the rich richer and the poor more submissive, because what is success if it is not controlled by those who know what to do with power? I will turn this country into an empire, and you, Peter Talbot, will be remembered as the man who made it all happen." The audience was silent now, listening with the attention of those who knew something big was about to happen.
— "Today, I'm not here just to ask for your votes. I'm here to show you that I'm already the president. It's not about what you can give me, but about what I'll offer you in return."
Lopkinnf walked to the edge of the stage and looked directly at the students, staring at them as if he were a master observing his disciples.
— "I am the only person capable of leading Jex to greatness, and it is with this vision that I will rule, it is with this vision that we will dominate the Hujo world. To do this, I need all of you. We need you to make history."
He made a gesture with his hand, and like a magic touch, all eyes turned completely to him. What had previously been a room full of powerful people, now seemed like a room full of followers.
— "From today onwards, Zenith Academy will be our base, and eventually, our country will be our empire. No matter what others say, what matters is that together we will be unstoppable."
The speech was brief, but like a flame igniting an explosion of ideas, his words began to spread among the students. Each of them was now convinced that Lopkinnf was the answer to their problems, their ambitions, and their fears. He was not just a candidate; he was the solution.
The Victory
The next morning, the election results were announced. As expected, Lopkinnf was elected the new president of the Zenith Academy student council by an overwhelming margin. He was now the leader of not only the school, but also the leader of those who would soon be under his rule.
His next steps were clear: he would take control of the country of Jex, and no one, not even the richest and most powerful elite, would be able to stop him. His power was only just beginning to blossom, and he knew that by the age of nineteen, he would rule Jex with an iron fist, transforming it into an empire of slavery and domination.
The country of Jex would finally be shaped in his image.
