Chapter 4 - 3- Training The Pups

*On Earth*

Since my father was a Lycan prince, it was his duty to ensure the safety of the werewolf world. He had meetings with Alphas and betas of the werewolf packs to ensure the werewolves were safe. Today, I was tasked with going to the Moonlight pack to train the young ones. I was obviously going to go with some others, and I was excited.

I always loved teaching the pups how to fight, especially because we always had to be careful. Although we monitored other creatures, we also monitored humans. It was hard enough having to act like them most times. Anything for the safety of our kind.

Right now, the major problems are giants. Apparently, a particular witch has been practicing forbidden magic. It was likely that she was turning humans into giants because giants stopped existing a long time ago. This particular thing has caused an uproar, and we collaborated with other witches, vampires and other creatures just to get to the bottom of this.

Through our investigation, we found out that the forbidden witch or wizard had not just been turning humans into giants so, we had to take training seriously if we ever clashed. Because of this uncertainty, we have joined forces with others to ensure the safety of our kind, and also find a way to keep our identities a secret from humans.

When we arrive at the Moonlight Pack, I grin when I see my friend Christian. Christian is the next in line to become an alpha after his dad.

"Hello princess," he says. I laugh, and hug him. I once thought Christian would be my mate. Imagine my surprise, when I heard the word , 'mate.' directed towards someone else that was not me. I smile when I see his wife, Anna. Yes, at sixteen years old, I was heartbroken, but with time, I gained a friend. I hug Anna, and she hugs me back.

"I am so excited you came. I read your book. It was beautiful," Anna says. I smile. "Is it also your favorite?"

"Duh," she says. I laugh, and walk into their training grounds with them. We all talk, and I ask how security has been. I am relieved when I get a positive reply.

"Hey pups," I say.

"Hi princess." They all look at me in awe, and I smile a bit. I loved the young ones, and I knew I will be hearing about the lycan princess witch trained me today. It made me laugh, when I realized that was what I was called by the young ones. Since I am training the ones who just turned into their wolves, I grin. I change into my wolf, after ensuring a magic spell that after the training, everyone will still have their clothes on when we change back to our human forms. I am sure that Anya, my wolf will have lots of fun today.

I race with the pups, and surprisingly, they are faster than I expected. This has to be Christian's doing. When are done racing, I wrestle with some of them. Again, I impressed with them. They were not as bad as I expected. They had obviously been training before they could transform into their wolf.

After two hours, we all change back, and I notice they are already tired, but still excited. I decide to train them in their human form. Like I expected, they are better. They had obviously been training well. By the time we are done, I am exhausted, and use a spell to make sure my clothes are changed. I knew I was drenched in sweat.

The kids all looked at me in awe. I smile. They always had that reaction, and I knew I was blessed. I was a strong witch, and a lycan. If only I had a mate. Mum's words had been residing in the back of my mind for quite some time, and I knew I had to tell my best friend, Lia soon.

Recently, almost every thought I had were thoughts on the mate I had not yet seen. The moment I see my mate, I might slap him or knock him, for not coming to find me sooner. I mean, I had been looking, he is the one who did not want to be found at this point. I talk to the kids when I realize they had been waiting to talk to me. I grin at them, and answer their questions. Some evem go as far as asking for an autograph as if I am a celebrity.

Anna laughs, and says, "Even better, you are a princess."

I roll my eyes at her, and she laughs.

*After Training*

"I am starving," I tell Anne. She giggles. "That is understandable," she says.

"Or maybe, she is just a glutton," Christian says. I glare at him, and Anna asks, "So Christian, you are not here for the steak and fries?" He glares at his mate and wife.

"You are supposed to be on my side wife," he says.

"Then don't be mean to my friend," she says. I stick my tongue at him, and he whispers, "She was my friend first."

"Then act like it." I laugh at the way Anna scolds Christian. It was one of my favorite things to see. Anna scolding Christian. It was even funnier because Christian was 6'2 and Anna 5'4.

I eat with my friends. They ask about my book tour. I tell them all about it, and the places I went to. Yes, part of the reason I went on the book tour was because I needed space. It hurt seeing everyone with their mates, and hearing whispers about why I had none. Another reason I went for the book tour was because I wanted to explore. I knew I would travel to different places, and I was looking forward to that.

I finally decide to go back home and bid my friends farewell. It was time to go home. I would have loved to check out some places, but the guards would not agree, seeing that it was getting dark. Normally, I can make them fall asleep, but I don't want them punished for my curiosity, and I know that the insecurity is crazy.

Until we find the person trying to make giants, noone is safe.
