Chapter 17 - Seed AI

Sun Zan lost track of time testing the finished product.

You can't blame him. This AI was just too good.

In essence, the AI in itself is an LLM but that did not hinder its functioning in other areas.

For instance, like other level 4 AIs, it used a ton of real data for training, but it did not require any external corrections and interference.

It directly took the results generated and reviewed them from multiple points and reinforced its 'thinking' and problem solving capabilities.

If it does this kind of thing a couple of times, it would never make a mistake in that aspect.

It only took a few minutes for the AI to go from writing a bunch of crap to generating cool and refreshing urban articles.

Sun Zan could hardly extricate himself after reading a few.

The thing that made him even more terrified is that the AI kept learning from his physical and mental activities and each new article would be more interesting than the last.

With just this, Sun Zan was sure that he could take the world by storm.

This was not just limited to novels. The AI could generate all kinds of texts from all available sources including some fleeting and brief descriptions on niche sites.

What novels, scripts, academic papers, journals… it could do it all.

The thing that made Sun Zan feel it even more is that the AI could differentiate between factual, empirical, and theoretical knowledge.

This means that there was no such thing as hallucinations when content required authenticity. However, it is completely different when it comes to creative works.

It is better to call it creativity at this point.

And this is just the source text. The tool could further adapt the generated text into different forms like movies, television series, animations, comics, games, music… in short, if it exists, the AI could do it.

The thing that made Sun Zan sweat for other entertainment companies was that he could not find anything others could use to fight it.

Characters used in the movie were too life-like and he could not tell them apart from real-life actors… well, maybe you could if you look at acting skills, theirs is a little worse, but that is not the point.

The point is the issue with copyrights and patents.

Sun Zan tried to use the all powerful AI but there were no overlaps that could be used to sue.

The little bit of similarities that he could point out were so insignificant that any case would be purely making trouble.

Sun Zan could only lament that technology is too disruptive.

But he only felt sorry for a second or two, then went ahead and made several user interfaces for end users of different levels.

This tool was too awesome, but it was kinda all over the place.

Without specific instructions, the AI could indeed generate an insane amount of works, but there would be no big difference from the previous plot.

Who would watch a work where the only difference from the previous work is some minor decisions here and there?

Still, the main reason is that he could not let the tool have too much autonomy, else, where would we take all these actors and producers?

It is too early to start having an industry made up entirely of virtual characters.

After some arrangements, Sun Zan threw the 'Seed AI' tool on some adult forums to start there.

Hehehe, the world needs some cleaner resources…

Sun Zan did not know what kind of storm the Seed AI would cause in a few hours

Don't look at how Sun Zan treated the thing lightly and think that it is not valuable.

Big companies like OpenAI, X.ai, Meta, Microsoft… would kill just to have a tool of this level, and now, anybody could download and host a mature AI on some shady site?!

I don't know what kind of dimensional reduction attack this thing can be.

But Sun Zan did not think too much.

The Seed AI in itself can be customized and commercialized but the core was still hosted in his phone. Try hacking into it if you have the guts.

Sun Zan here took the complete Seed AI and started giving it different enhancements and packaging them differently.

There are just too many apps and tools that can be combined, repurposed, enhanced, and augmented with level 4 AI tools.

By the time he was done playing, I don't know how many companies lost business. The internet was flooded with these advanced tools that Sun Zan carelessly threw out.

Sun Zan did not stop messing around until the change he wanted to see finally appeared in front of his eyes.

*Ding*

[Your Seed AI Tool Kit Suite has received a 500 times critical strike leading to quantitative and qualitative changes.

500x Seed AI Tool Kit Suite (Commercial)

A level 5 Artificial General Intelligence Kit with full mastery of type I cyberspaces and can perform all intellectual tasks to a superb level, surpassing human capabilities.]

"…"

Sun Zan's heart skipped a beat when he read this.

You have to know that almost all predictions say that level 5 AGIs are an existential risk.

If given enough time, resources, and computational power, Sun Zan could see how that could happen.

But he was not too worried.

The main point is that current technological levels would not allow this.

By the time the AI even figured out a plan, he would have already dished out level 6,7,8, and 9 AIs.

At that time, it would be good if it was just a younger brother.

Putting aside his worries, Sun Zan directly began to test the new tool he got.

And… it's like magic.

He could only know the cause and effect but not the process after watching.

Does the Dragon Country lack a proper system software and mature operating system? Why don't I give you a few thousand systems to play with? Better yet, directly make a platform where you can just describe and drag and drop functions and features to make a hyper customized version.

Level 4 Seed AIs in the market are awesome? Why don't I directly optimize them and incorporate a growth algorithm? By that time, just feed it a bunch of data and it would grow into a quasi level 5 AGI.

"Hiss! WTF."
