Synopsis

Prologue

In a distant future where humanity has evolved beyond death, memories and experiences are no longer stored in human brains but transferred into "Memory Arks" — vast, crystalline archives powered by a mysterious, ancient energy source. This transfer allows individuals to "reboot" into new, artificial bodies when their current forms wear out. People no longer die; instead, they shed their old bodies like clothes.

However, a catch exists: The Memory Arks require constant curation. Unorganized or corrupted memories cause mental instability, as memories can overlap or distort. To ensure harmony, "Archivists" — individuals trained to restore and organize these fragments — spend their lives managing the world's population of souls.

The novel centers on Isen Vrail, an Archivist with an extraordinary skill: he can enter the dreamlike corridors of any Memory Ark, physically experiencing stored memories like alternate realities. He is both a detective and a healer, solving "memory corruption" cases before individuals spiral into madness. However, everything changes when Isen stumbles upon a forgotten Ark containing memories of people that never existed — a paradox in a world where memory is the only proof of reality.

These "impossible memories" tell stories of civilizations no one recalls, loves that were never shared, and apocalyptic futures that never came to pass. As Isen delves deeper into the mystery, he begins to suspect that the Arks are not just storing memories but are rewriting the past, shaping reality itself.

Setting:

1. The Memory Spire: A sprawling megastructure that rises above a world of endless storms. It is the center of human existence, home to the Memory Arks and Archivists.

2. The Crystalline Void: A surreal place where Archivists "enter" memory streams. It is ethereal, shifting, and dangerous, resembling a glass-like ocean broken by fragmented landscapes.

3. The Forgotten Outlands: The wastelands outside the Spire, where outcasts — those whose memories have been corrupted beyond saving — wander, living fractured realities.
