Chapter 1 - Prologue: A Deal Across Realms

Edward Morsen never believed in destiny, but his life was a series of calculated decisions that led him to greatness. Born into a middle-class family, Edward was driven by an insatiable hunger for success. His sharp mind and natural problem-solving ability propelled him through school and into a prestigious military academy, where he majored in Engineering and Business Administration.

At the academy, Edward's brilliance was unmatched. He excelled in designing defensive structures, optimizing supply chains, and crafting strategies that blended technical expertise with economic insight. His unique ability to combine engineering precision with business acumen earned him the respect of his superiors and peers alike. Edward didn't just solve problems—he anticipated them, often two or three steps ahead of everyone else.

After graduating at the top of his class, Edward's military career flourished. He spearheaded logistics operations that saved lives on the battlefield and designed groundbreaking defense platforms that revolutionized military strategy. Yet, despite his remarkable successes, his career came to an abrupt end. During a high-stakes mission, an accident left him severely injured. Stripped of his military career, Edward found himself at a crossroads.

But Edward was not one to wallow in defeat. His injury might have ended his military service, but it hadn't dulled his ambition. Turning his focus to the world of commerce, he channeled his strategic mind into mastering the art of trading. Starting small, Edward quickly made a name for himself by identifying market trends and exploiting them with ruthless precision. His rise in the trading world was meteoric, but he remained unfulfilled. Edward craved something greater—a challenge worthy of his intellect.

One stormy evening, as Edward sat in his modest office reviewing market data, the atmosphere shifted. The air grew heavy, shadows seemed to lengthen, and then a cloaked figure appeared, seemingly out of nowhere.

"Edward Morsen," the stranger said, his voice calm yet commanding. "You've achieved much in your world, but I see a fire in you—a desire for more."

Edward's instincts screamed caution. "Who are you? And how did you get in here?"

The figure chuckled, the sound strangely unsettling. "Who I am is irrelevant. What matters is the opportunity I bring. You've mastered the art of strategy and commerce, but your world has become too small for someone like you. I come with an offer—a chance to test your skills in a realm far more challenging than this."

Edward leaned back, his sharp mind already dissecting the situation. "Go on," he said cautiously.

The figure raised a hand, and swirling images materialized in the air: castles, armies, dragons, and men locked in brutal conflict. "This is Westeros," the figure explained. "A land of power, intrigue, and bloodshed. Its people fight for crowns, lands, and survival, but none truly understand the art of trade—the foundation of empires. You, Edward, can change that."

Edward's eyes narrowed as he studied the scenes. "And why would I do that? What's in it for me?"

"A second chance," the figure replied. "In this world, you will have the tools to build an empire unlike anything seen before. You will be granted a Trading System, a unique power to help you navigate and exploit the complexities of this realm. You can reshape history—not with swords, but with gold and knowledge."

Edward remained skeptical. "And what's the catch?"

The figure's tone turned serious. "You will be starting from nothing. No allies, no wealth, no reputation. Only your wits and the Trading System. Success or failure will depend entirely on you. But remember, Westeros is unforgiving. It will test every ounce of your resolve."

Edward considered the offer, his mind racing. The prospect of stepping into a world of dragons and kings was absurd, yet tantalizing. He had always thrived in high-stakes environments, and this was the ultimate challenge.

"What's stopping you from offering this to someone else?" Edward asked, his voice steady.

The figure smiled. "I have watched countless lives, Edward. Few possess the intellect, ambition, and resilience that you do. You are the perfect candidate for this venture."

Silence filled the room as Edward weighed the risks and rewards. Finally, he stood and extended his hand. "Alright. I'll play your game. But know this—I don't lose."

The figure clasped his hand, and a surge of energy coursed through Edward's body. The room dissolved into darkness, and Edward felt himself falling, his senses overwhelmed by the unknown.

In the now-empty office, the figure smirked and muttered, "This should relieve my boredom for a while."

When Edward opened his eyes, he found himself lying on a forest floor. The air was crisp and unfamiliar, carrying the scent of pine and earth. A faint glow appeared before him, and words formed in his mind:

Welcome to Westeros. Trading System Activated.

Edward smiled, his heart racing with anticipation. His journey had just begun, and in a world of chaos and conflict, he would carve out his place—not with steel, but with gold and ambition.
