Chereads / A Cursed Reincarnation / Chapter 11 - 11. Joining the Adventurers Guild

Chapter 11 - 11. Joining the Adventurers Guild

"Thank you." Armaros said to the guard as he was allowed to go inside.

After Armaros reached the que for entrance into the town, he was asked to pay 30 Drachmas for entry into the town, which he payed, after which he was allowed into town. He marvelled at the sight of the town as it is very different from the villages he had been in.

The houses in there are all made of stones and are quite sturdy, there were a lot of people going about their daily lives while he spotted many children playing, merchants doing their jobs, and many more different things which he had never seen in other villages.

'Alright, first things first. I have to find a place to keep my things.' Armaros thought to himself as he asked around for directions for an inn.

After he got the directions, he went there and found the owner who is a middle aged man with a fairly good build, with brown hair and a good face. The floor is like a restaurant, as he has gathered that it works as both a restaurant and an inn which worked perfectly for him.

"Excuse me, I would like to rent a room here." Armaros said to the man as he got to his desk.

"Sure kid, for how long are you planning to stay here?" The owner asked him with a smile.

"Currently, I am thinking for a week." Armaros said to the man after a few seconds.

"I see. Well, that would be 70, 10 for each day." The owner said to him as the boy was surprised.

"Really?" Armaros asked in surprise as he took out his pouch.

"Yeah kid. Besides, I'm giving you a discount since you've just become an adult. Did you come here to become an Adventurer?" The owner asked him with a smile.

"Uh, yeah." Armaros said as he felt a bit awkward at being figured out like that.

"Don't worry kid. Kids like you usually come from villages outside to become Adventurers so it is quite a common sight." The owner said to him as Armaros nodded at that.

"Here." Armaros said as he handed the man the money by using 8 silver and 15 copper coins.

"Alright, but I will tell you that the moment you become old enough or become an experienced Adventurer, the price will be normal. And you have to pay for the food as well." The owner said to him as Armaros nodded.

"Okay." Armaros said with a nod.

"The names Brig, the owner of this inn. What's your name kid?" Brig said as he gave the key to the room.

"Armaros." Armaros said to the guy after thinking for a second.

"Hmm, quite a good name." Brig said to him with a smile as he waved him bye.

Armaros nodded before he climbed the stairs to get to the room he had gotten. When he went inside, he saw that room was of good quality as there is a bed, a chair and table, a cabinet and a bathroom as well.

'Good enough.' Armaros said as he familiarised himself with the place before he took a bath.

He got into clean clothes, before he went to get some food, as he went down with his sword strapped to him, while having the medallion, and a pouch of coins with him as he walked down.

"Oh, that was fast." Brig said in slight surprise at the sight.

"Hello, I would like to eat some food." Armaros said as Brig nodded.

After that Armaros ate the food provided there before he went in search for the Adventurers Guild after getting the information from the inn owner. He walked for a good few minutes before he was in front of the Adventurers Guild building as he entered while being watched by the guards.

He entered the inside of the building and saw many people, which he thought as being Adventurers inside as they were talking and going about their things as he saw many people inside there.

Some were just chilling and talking while eating and drinking something while others were going over their loots, some over their missions and all of them going over various other things.

Though when he came inside some of them looked at him before they dismissed him as they went back to do their own things.

'It is a good thing that my clothes makes me seem like a normal guy instead of a noble. I don't want the attention.' Armaros thought to himself as he walked towards the counter.

"Oh, well hello there. Are you here to post a commission?" The girl in the middle wearing the Guild uniform asked him with a smile.

"No. I want to become an Adventurer." Armaros said with a shake of his head.

"I see. Well, please fill this form and we will check your Mana levels." The girl said as he nodded at that.

Armaros then took the form and filled them in such a way that he won't be connected to his family, after which he gave the form to the girl as she looked it over as she nodded at that.

"This is good handwriting. Alright, follow me, Mr. Armaros." The girl said as he nodded and followed her as she gave her job to another staff.

She led him to another part of the Guild as he observed her features. She has fair skin, pink hair which reaches her shoulders and light green eyes and a good face. She is also wearing the Guild uniform which is sort of like a suit which also shows her body a bit as well.

'Hmm, she is a good looking girl. And the uniform also helps. Perhaps she was recruited with her beauty in mind as well, will get more Adventurers to come if a girl like her is welcoming them with a smile.' Armaros thought to himself as he followed her.

She then entered a room and he entered as he saw a crystal ball in the middle of the room with two other Guild members inside as they looked up from their desks and blinked at the sight.

"Hey, he wants to become an Adventurer. So I'm here to check his Mana." The girl said as the two nodded and got up.

The two employees then got ready to measure his Mana as he watched them get ready.

"Don't worry okay. This will not hurt you." The girl said to him as he nodded.

"Okay." Armaros said with a nod.

"Oh yeah, my name is Rhia. It's nice to meet you Armaros." Rhia said to him with a smile.

"Me too." Armaros said with a small smile as her smile brightened.

"Alright, we're ready." One of the two employees said which got their attention.

Rhia ushered him forward as he stood in front of the crystal ball and looked at it.

"Place your hand on the crystal ball, and the magic will read your Mana." The employee said as he nodded.

Armaros placed his right palm on the crystal ball and a magic circle appeared under him, being originating from the crystal ball on the floor as he felt magic cover his body as the ball glowed.

After a few seconds the magic circle disappeared before the information was shown on the crystal ball as the two employees looked at it as one analysed it and the other notes it down.

"Hmm, okay he has above average Mana." One employee said as the other notes it down.

"Okay. That's good. Thanks for the help." Rhia said as the two employees just shrugged as they watched the two go.

"By the way, do you think that kid looked familiar?" The guy who noted the data asked.

"No. There are a lot of guys with blonde, I mean, they are rare but you can see a handful." The employee said as the other shrugged before they went to do their work.

Rhia meanwhile walked with Armaros back to the desk as she filled out the information before she finalised the form and then took a photo of him and then after a few minutes gave him a card as he looked at it.

"That is your adventurer card, it is proof that you are a legitimate Adventurer and a member of the Guild. You will be starting as an E rank in consideration of your age and the fact that you just joined." Rhia said to him as he looked the card over and then smiled at her.

"Okay, thanks miss Rhia." Armaros said with a smile as the girl blushed at the sight of his smile.

'Oh my gosh he has such a beautiful smile. Ehem! Come on Rhia, be professional.' Rhia thought to herself as she blushed a bit before she composed herself and smiled gently at him.

"For now, just start with E Rank quests, okay." Rhia said to him as he nodded at that.

"Okay." Armaros said as she smiled at that.

"You can see the quests on the board there. Good luck and stay safe." Rhia said to him as he thanked her and went to take a look at the available quests as she smiled at the boy.
