Chapter 1 - — Obsession

What does it mean to be obsessed? The definition is stated to be to preoccupy or fill the mind of (someone) continually, intrusively, and to a troubling extent. But what if it was so much more than that? Insanity as well. Two factors play a role in one man's life. One man's life whom will be ruined and take a dive down into the world's greatest mystery. The Trojan. A single man who seemingly controls the whole world under his fingertips.

Officer Alex Jones drove his car to an abandoned amusement park, receiving an anonymous tip that there were criminals in hiding there. Once he arrived. The place was silent. There was a man in a black hoodie, average height, slim stature. Alex tapped his shoulder.

"Sir, I received a report about criminals being hosted here. Was that your report?"

"Oh. Officer. Why, yes. That was me."

The man turned around. He wore a pitch black mask, his voice raspy and muffled.

"What the— and, if I may ask, what are you doing out here at this hour?"

"Oh, wouldn't you like to know, officer Alex Jones."

"How did you—"

"Wouldn't you like to know. I know everything. Especially about you. You know what makes you so interesting?"

He just kept going on, not leaving Jones room to intervene.

"You are normal." The man paced back and forth impatiently. Like he was waiting for something. "So normal, in fact, you're completely irrelevant. Even if I wanted you to be. You can't be a variable, so I have to make you one. That's what makes you so interesting. Alex."

"Why…how…do you know this…?"

"Remember my name. Officer."

The man handed him a card. Simply labeled. Trojan. Alex looked down to look at the card. Looked back up. And simply nobody was there.
