Chapter 1 - Death is not The End

A group of high school students was traveling to campus. Among them, a frail-looking, black-haired boy named Kuro was sleeping soundly, lost in a pleasant dream. Suddenly, panicked screams jolted him awake. Opening his eyes, he saw another bus barreling straight toward them.

The driver shouted, "Watch out!" as chaos erupted. Panic spread like wildfire. Moments later, the two buses collided violently.

When Kuro regained consciousness, the accident had already happened. His chest throbbed with pain.

"Shit, it hurts," he muttered. "But at the very least, I can endure it. I think some of my ribs are broken."

He struggled to move, realizing the bus door was jammed. Summoning what strength he had left, he kicked the door repeatedly until it gave way. Crawling out, he ignored his pain and began evacuating his classmates.

Some were severely injured; others had died on the spot. Among the survivors were 20 students and their teacher. Kuro rescued the last person—a close friend—who woke up coughing, his face pale.

"Kuro, you're alive," his friend rasped with a weak smile. "Haha."

Kuro sat down beside him, exhaustion etched on his face.

"Not for long. I don't have much time. A few of my ribs punctured my lung. I can feel it."

His friend chuckled bitterly, coughing. "You never fail to amaze me. How are you still alive? Well, it doesn't matter. I'm not going to make it either. There's no signal here; we can't even call for help."

Blood dripped from Kuro's lips as he coughed. "I didn't imagine I'd die like this. I thought it'd be more... heroic. Maybe on a battlefield or something, not in a bus crash."

His friend nodded weakly. "Yeah... you're always too kind. Do you remember how you saved me in France? You were like a hero straight out of a fairy tale. Has it been five years already?"

Kuro's breathing grew labored, and his skin turned ashen. "Hey... do you think we'll survive this?"

His friend paused. "I hope so. There's still so much we haven't done."

Before they could say more, a black car screeched to a halt nearby. Several men in black suits stepped out and approached the wreckage. Alarmed, Kuro's friend muttered, "I don't think they're here to help."

Kuro tried to stand but was too weak from blood loss. Gunshots echoed, and the men in suits entered the bus. Following them was a silver-haired woman in a white dress, her brown eyes cold and piercing.

Kuro and his friend froze in disbelief. They recognized her.

His friend shouted, "How are you still alive, you witch?!"

The woman smirked. "How rude. Shouldn't you be glad to see me? After all, I came here for you, Crow and Black Wolf."

Her gaze locked on Kuro, who burned with fury despite his failing strength. She stepped closer, her voice dripping with mock affection.

"Oh, little crow, don't be so angry. I just came to take you back. After all, I love you."

Kuro gritted his teeth and lunged with a hidden knife, but his body betrayed him, collapsing from blood loss. As his vision blurred, he cursed silently, feeling his life slip away.

When he opened his eyes again, he was in a stark white room. Around him, his classmates began to stir, all alive and seemingly unharmed. His friend rushed over, tears streaming down his face.

"You idiot! I thought you were dead!" he cried, hugging Kuro tightly.

Kuro returned the embrace. "Yeah... me too. But where are we?"

Before anyone could answer, a breathtakingly beautiful woman appeared. Her presence was almost otherworldly, leaving everyone momentarily breathless.

She smiled warmly. "Oh, heroes of another world, I beg you—please save my world."

The students exchanged confused looks as the woman explained their predicament. She told them they had been reincarnated into another realm, one lacking in human souls. Her magic had summoned them, the maximum number of souls she could call.

One of the students asked nervously, "Why us? Can't we go back?"

The woman's expression grew somber. "Regrettably, it is impossible to send you back. You have all died in your previous world. Driven by the overwhelming regret surrounding your deaths, I summoned the unfortunate souls you've become"

Her words hung heavy in the air. Slowly, the students accepted their fate. They had been given a second chance, reincarnated into a fantastical world of swords and magic. With their memories intact, they prepared to embark on a journey that would change their lives forever.

And so began the long, arduous journey of Kuro and his classmates—a tale of redemption, survival, and heroism in a world they never imagined.
