Kai stepped inside the library of Aetheria University, a magnificent building with high ceilings and bookshelves that reached up to the ceiling. The smell of old paper and ink filled the air, creating a calm and solemn atmosphere. The afternoon sunlight filtered through the stained glass windows, creating colorful patterns on the marble floor.
He approached the desk of the librarian, an older woman with round glasses and gray hair in a neat bun. "Good afternoon," Kai greeted politely. "I'd like to find information about a student named Lysander. "The librarian gave Kai a sharp look. "Lysander, you say? That arrogant student?" He cleared his throat, "What information are you looking for?""Anything," Kai replied. "His origins, his family, or anything that can help me get to know him better."
The librarian frowned. "Lysander... The name is familiar, but I can't remember for sure. Try looking in the catalog over there," he said, pointing to a row of books in the corner of the room.
Kai nodded and headed for the books. He searched for the name "Lysander" in the search field, but there were no relevant results. He tried some other keywords, such as "Lysander Aetheria" and "Lysander family", but still didn't find the information he was looking for.
Frustrated, Kai returned to the librarian's desk. "I didn't find anything," he said.
The librarian shrugged. "Perhaps information about Lysander is limited. He's very private. "Kai was silent for a moment. He felt something was wrong.
Why was it so difficult to find information about Lysander? Was he deliberately hiding his identity? Suddenly, she remembered something.
The negative aura he felt from Lysander... could Lysander be related to dark magic? "Is there a section of the library that stores books on dark magic?" Kai asked.
The librarian looked at Kai suspiciously. "What are you looking for books on dark magic for? It's very dangerous.""I'm just curious," Kai replied trying to remain calm.
"I'm writing an essay on the history of dark magic in Aevonia. "The librarian looked doubtful, but finally said, "Very well, but you must be careful. The books are stored in a restricted room on the basement floor.
You need special permission to enter there. "Kai grinned. "Thanks for the information. "He walked away leaving the librarian still looking at him suspiciously.
Kai felt he was getting closer to the truth. He had to find a way to get into the forbidden room.
Kai descended the cold, damp stone stairs to the basement of the library. The air was getting colder and stale, making his hair stand on end. She could hear the sound of dripping water in the distance, adding to the mysterious atmosphere of the place.
At the end of the stairs, he found a large wooden door with strange symbols carved on it that he didn't recognize. The door looked old and sturdy, as if it hid a great secret behind it.
Kai tried to open the door, but it was locked. He remembered the librarian's words about "special permission". How would he get that permission? Kai racked his brain.
He couldn't possibly go back to the librarian and ask for it directly. There had to be another way.Her eyes roamed around.
Next to the door, he saw a small panel with a keyhole. Could it be a place to insert a "special permit"? But he didn't have a key. Kai reached into his pocket and pulled out a gold coin he had gotten from Master Ragnar as a reward for his victory against Lysander. The coin had the crest of the University of Aetheria engraved on it. "There's no harm in trying," Kai muttered.
He inserted the coin into the keyhole and turned it. Click! The door opened with a resounding creak.Kai stepped inside carefully.
The room was dimly lit, illuminated only by a few torches on the wall. Bookshelves were lined up neatly, filled with leather-bound books that looked worn out.
In the center of the room, there was a reading table with several books open on it.
Kai approached the bookshelf and started looking for books on dark magic. He found several titles that caught his attention, such as "The Art of Controlling Shadows", "Dark Potions", and "Demon Summoning Rituals".
He picked up one of the books and opened it. The pages were filled with tight handwriting and complicated diagrams.
Kai tried to read a few lines, but he couldn't understand the meaning. The language was very archaic and difficult to understand.
Suddenly, he heard footsteps approaching the room. Kai quickly hid the book under his robe and hid behind the bookshelf. The door to the room opened and a shadowy figure stepped inside. Kai peeked out from behind the bookshelf and was surprised to see who had come.
It was Lysander.
Kai's heart was beating fast. He held his breath, afraid that Lysander would notice.
Lysander walked over to the reading table in the center of the room and placed a thick book on it. Kai recognized the book: "Demon Summoning Ritual".
Lysander opened the book and started reading carefully.
He spoke a few words in a foreign language that Kai didn't understand. The atmosphere in the room suddenly became cold and tense.
Kai felt a strong negative aura emanating from Lysander.
Lysander took out a small knife from his pocket and slashed his palm. Blood dripped onto the pages of the book, making the symbols glow red.
Kai covered his mouth to stifle a shriek of shock.
What was Lysander doing? Lysander continued to chant in a foreign language. The room grew colder and darker.
Suddenly, a strong wind blew from inside the book, making the torches on the wall flicker.
Kai felt scared, but he couldn't move. He was rooted to the spot, watching what was happening.
In the center of the room, a dark portal began to form. Black smoke poured out of the portal, forming a terrifying shape.
Kai closed his eyes tightly. He couldn't believe what he was seeing.
When he opened his eyes again, a huge tall creature stood before Lysander.
It had blood-red skin, long curved horns, and fiery eyes that stared at Lysander with ravenous lust.
Lysander smiled sarcastically. "You've finally come," he told the creature.
The creature growled. "What do you want, human?"
"Power," Lysander replied. "The power to rule Aevonia."
Kai swallowed. His heart was beating like a war drum. She pressed her body tightly against the bookshelf, trying to lose her presence.
From behind a narrow gap between the old books, he watched Lysander and the demon closely.
"The power to rule Aevonia," Lysander hissed. "I will destroy this kingdom and build a new one on its ruins!"
The demon laughed with a sound that sent chills down Kai's spine. "Interesting ambition, human. But what will you give me in return?"
"Anything you want," Lysander replied with flashing eyes. "Wealth, power, even innocent souls... all will be yours."
Kai was dumbfounded. He didn't expect Lysander to be so hungry for power that he would sacrifice anything. He had to stop Lysander, but he knew he couldn't do it alone. She needs help.
But who would believe her? If he told this to others, they would probably think he was crazy. He had to find solid evidence to prove his words.
Kai decided to stay hidden and follow Lysander. He would uncover all his secrets and stop him before it was too late.Kai reached into his robe pocket and pulled out a crystal ball the size of a fist. The orb was a gift from his grandfather, a famous wizard in Aevonia. His grandfather told Kai to use the orb wisely.
"This is a good time," Kai muttered. He activated the magic orb by touching his fingertips. The orb glowed softly and began recording the events before it. Kai hid the orb behind a stack of books, so Lysander wouldn't notice it.
Lysander and the demon continued to talk. Kai listened carefully, trying to catch every word they said. He had to get enough evidence to expose Lysander's crimes.
Suddenly, Lysander turned toward the bookshelf where Kai was hiding. Kai held his breath. Did Lysander see him? "Who's there?" asked Lysander suspiciously.
Kai froze. He didn't know what to do.
