The void stretched endlessly, dark and silent, without the slightest trace of life or existence. Time had no meaning here, no flow, no beginning or end. Then, as if summoned from nothingness, a young man sitting cross-legged on a bed materialized in the emptiness, a slice of pizza in hand.
For a moment, he froze, his mouth slightly open, the pizza halfway to his lips. His wide eyes darted around, taking in the boundless void. But the shock lasted only a heartbeat. He blinked, shrugged, and then casually took another bite of his pizza, chewing as if sitting in an infinite void was just another Tuesday.
"You didn't react as I expected," came a voice that was deep, smooth, and magnetic—both terrifying and oddly comforting. "Or maybe you did."
The young man froze again, mid-bite this time, and slowly turned his head. Standing a few feet away was a figure that could only be described as unnaturally handsome. His features were flawless, almost too perfect for a human, with an aura of authority and confidence that seemed to demand attention. His smile was warm yet cold, friendly yet chilling, as though it concealed some unfathomable power.
The teen stared for a second longer before resuming his chewing. "How would I know what you expected of me?" he asked through a mouthful of pizza, his voice steady despite the nervousness bubbling in his chest.
The man—or whatever he was—let out a soft chuckle, his perfectly shaped eyebrows lifting in amusement. "Fair enough," he said, the smile on his face widening just enough to feel both inviting and predatory.
The teen swallowed hard but kept his tone even. "So, uh… you're here because…?"
"To make a deal," the being said simply, his voice resonating in the emptiness like a symphony. "I will grant you powers beyond imagination and send you to a world of your choice, in the time period you desire."
The teen blinked, his pizza momentarily forgotten. "That's… quite an offer." He hesitated, glancing at the man warily. "But, uh… what's the catch? You must want something in return."
The handsome figure's smile widened into a grin that didn't quite reach his eyes. "Smart. I like that." He paused, as if considering his words carefully. "Yes, there is a catch—sort of. Once you've lived your life and grown strong, I will take your powers and, well… your life."
The teen's heart skipped a beat, and for a moment, he felt cold fear creep up his spine. But then the man laughed—a light, almost carefree laugh that somehow made the fear worse. He even wiped a tear from the corner of his eye, as though he'd just told the funniest joke in existence.
"I'm kidding," the man said, though his smile didn't falter. "Or am I?"
The teen forced a shaky smile in response, his instincts screaming at him not to show weakness. "Uh, that's… good to know. I mean, even if you weren't kidding, I'd still accept. But I'd like to know why you're doing this."
The man's grin softened into something more enigmatic, his gaze piercing as if he were looking straight into the teen's soul. "Let's just say I enjoy watching stories unfold. Your life will be one of those stories."
The teen swallowed nervously but nodded. "Alright then."
"Good," the man said with a nod of approval. "I will grant you four essences: the Essence of the Scientist, the Essence of the Mad Doctor, the Essence of the Archmage, and the Essence of Home."
The teen opened his mouth to respond, but the man held up a hand to stop him. "I'm not done yet," he said firmly, his tone leaving no room for argument. "These essences will grant you the knowledge and potential to excel in science, magic, and creation. The Essence of Home will give you access to a personal dimension where you can live, train, and build as you see fit."
"Wow," the teen said, his voice barely above a whisper. "That's… generous."
The man smirked. "I'm not finished. I'm also giving you a fragment of the Essence of Harem and Binder. This will ensure that anyone you truly love—or who loves you—will have their life connected to yours. They are all immortal until you live. If they're in danger, they'll be teleported to safety in your home dimension."
The teen's brows furrowed. "That's… thoughtful, I guess?"
The man chuckled. "I've limited this fragment because the full essence would turn them into mindless dolls who exist only to serve you. That, my friend, is pathetic. Although I myself don't feel any problem with mind control and everything else, but to call an empty doll your loved ones your whole immortal existence is what I consider pathetic." His expression turned slightly darker. "You don't need cheap tricks to win hearts. And cheaters aren't lovers, so if they betray you, they'll still face death. Simple."
"Why the look, oh!No, I won't be killing cheaters, they will die naturally by aging or but their own cause after being killed by someone after they aren't connected to you.
I can't be bothered to take care of your things. You want them dead, go kill them in style."
The teen nodded, unsure of how to respond. Despite the man's calm demeanor, he could feel an overwhelming sense of power radiating from him. It wasn't just physical strength—it was as though this being could unmake reality with a snap of his fingers.
"So," the man said, his tone suddenly light again, "which world do you want to be reincarnated into, and when?"
The teen hesitated for a moment, weighing his options. "Game of Thrones," he said finally. "Make me the same age as Brandon Stark."
The man raised an eyebrow. "Interesting choice. The world of Westeros is cruel and unforgiving. Are you sure?"
The teen nodded, his resolve firm despite the nervous flutter in his chest. "I'm sure."
The man's grin returned, but there was a hint of something darker in his eyes now. "Very well. You will awaken as a three-year-old, just old enough to start shaping your destiny. Live your life without regrets, for I'll be watching."
The teen gave a hesitant smile. "Thanks, I guess?"
"Oh, and one more thing," the man added, pulling out a ridiculously long scroll from thin air. He scanned it quickly before exclaiming, "Ah, yes!I was forgetting the main part. Don't fear any cosmic entity like One above all or Presence when you enter their universe. Ah! Maybe you should not mess with Chaos gods, I don't want that b*tch to suck me dry again. You can mess with anybody else, even the old god's from which the Chaos gods were made as those old cots can't do anything to me."
The teen's mouth opened to ask a question, but before he could speak, the man waved his hand, and a glowing portal appeared behind him.
"Time to go," the man said, his tone suddenly serious. "Live freely. Live boldly. And remember…" He leaned in closer, his piercing gaze locking onto the teen's. "There's no one above me to judge you—only me."
Before the teen could respond, the portal enveloped him, and the void was silent once more.
The man stood there for a moment, staring at the spot where the teen had vanished. His smile faded, replaced by an unreadable expression.
"Live without regret," he murmured to himself. "So I don't have any, either." Then, with a wave of his hand, he disappeared, leaving the void empty once more.

It would truly make me feel that someone is reading it. As I made it only because I think there isn't enough free good fanfic to read in webnovel and got bored.
