Hikaro Ryota was on his way home with some bad news: he had been expelled from school after getting into a fight with a student.
Hikaro: Hi, mom, I'm home. I have something not-so-good to tell you.
Mom: Hi, Hikaro, what happened?
Hikaro: Well, mom, so... I kind of got expelled from school because of a fight.
Mom: Hikaro, I already told you to stop fighting at school. Now look, you've been expelled.
Hikaro: I'm sorry, mom, it's just that he...
Mom: You know what, Hikaro, just like that, you're expelled from this house!
Hikaro: W-what? All this because I was expelled from school?
Mom: That's right, you're expelled from home! And this phone of yours...
Hikaro's mom grabs his phone and throws it on the ground.
Mom: What are you waiting for, Hikaro? Get out of this house, now!

Mom: You should've thought of that before getting expelled! Leave now.
Hikaro walks out of the house, head down.
Hikaro: I can't believe I got kicked out of the house for being expelled from school. What's going on in my mom's head? Just because I got expelled, she kicks me out of the house like that? I'll have to find somewhere to stay for a while. What a mess! Why did I get into that fight?
Two hours later
Hikaro was walking down the street when, suddenly, he heard gunfire.
Hikaro: What's that sound... Wait, there's a shooting over there!
Hikaro starts running away.
Hikaro: I've got to get out of here...
A stray bullet hits Hikaro right in the stomach.
Hikaro: Ouch... so this is it... I'm dead.
Hikaro suddenly wakes up startled.
Hikaro: Was that a dream? Wait, where am I? This looks like a forest. Where am I? Wasn't I supposed to be dead?
Suddenly, a wolf with sharp teeth and red eyes appears in front of him.
Hikaro: W-what kind of animal is that? I've never seen anything like this in my life.
The wolf starts moving closer to him.
Hikaro: G-get away from me, you ugly thing, get out of here!
Suddenly, the wolf jumps on him and bites him.
Hikaro: My arm, ow!
Suddenly, he teleports to another location and appears in the center of a medieval city.
Hikaro: W-where am I? I ended up somewhere else, but my arm is fine. What was that? And what city is this? I've never seen a city like this where I live. How did I get here?
Hikaro then goes to ask a girl where he is.
Hikaro: Hey, miss, can you tell me where I am?
Girl: What a silly question, boy, of course, you're in Luduwin, the capital of Gamiru. Why ask something like that? Are you lost?
Hikaro: W-wait, what???
Girl: What's wrong, kid?
Hikaro runs away in panic.
Hikaro: What's going on? This country doesn't exist, I've never heard of any of these countries. I was the best in geography class. Where am I?
Hikaro walks through the city and more strange things start to appear.
Hikaro: Is there a bookstore around here?
Hikaro enters the store.
Merchant: Hello, young man, what brings you to my shop?
Hikaro: Uh, I just want to look around, is that okay?
Merchant: Feel free, boy, you don't have to be so formal.
Hikaro: These books are in a very different language, but for some reason, I can understand them. This one says "Lost Enchantments of Basic Magic." W-wait... what's this about magic?
Hikaro: Hey, sir, what do you mean by magic?
Merchant: Well, magic, boy, that's what almost everyone here uses. So, are you interested in buying?
Hikaro: No, thank you.

Hikaro then remembers something.
Hikaro: Wait, I didn't really watch anime or anything like that, but I had a friend who read something exactly like this about someone going to a new world where everything is different after reincarnating. Could it be that I...?
Hikaro: It must be it. I must be in another world... B-but why me? Why am I here? I-I don't want to be here... (starts crying)
He begins crying in the middle of the medieval street. People look at him curiously and walk away.
Hikaro: Everything points to this... B-but if I reincarnated here, that means my life in that world is over for good. But I still need to understand what that teleportation was, that wolf. I almost died... Well, I guess I'll have to figure this out on my own.
Hikaro starts walking through the city and suddenly a huge monster appears.
Hikaro: N-no way... A giant monster! P-please don't kill me!
A city guard appears.
Guard: Everyone, take cover! A Yunikal has appeared here, it can attack you. Be careful!
Hikaro: Yunikal?
Guard: Kid, get out of there!
The monster attacks Hikaro, but he dodges.
Hikaro: MY GOD, THIS MONSTER IS GOING TO KILL ME! SOMEONE HELP MEEEE!
He starts running, making the monster chase him.
Guard: Be careful, kid!
Hikaro: Help me! Please!
Hikaro trips and falls, and the monster attacks him.
Suddenly, when the monster was about to attack Hikaro, he teleports again.
Hikaro: Huh? Where am I? Where's the monster? Where's the city? This can't be... it happened again.
