The sun hung low as Xander's ship drifted into Syrup Village's small harbor. After taking down Don Krieg's fleet, the ship needed repairs, and they were running low on supplies.
"Alright," Xander said as they docked. "Nami, handle the supplies. Mari, Nojiko, keep training."
"Got it," Nami replied, hopping off the ship with her usual confidence.
"What about you?" Nojiko asked curiously.
"I've got something to take care of," Xander said, already stepping onto the dock.
---
Xander's footsteps were steady as he walked up the winding path leading to the large mansion on the hill. He didn't need to investigate or ask questions—he knew exactly what was happening here.
Kuro.
The man who faked his death, and hid for years as a humble butler, all while plotting to steal the wealth of Kaya, the sickly heiress who trusted him.
Reaching the mansion's side wall, Xander moved swiftly, using his Observation Haki to sense the faint presences inside. Most of the household staff were asleep or far from the main rooms. Kuro, however, was in a room upstairs, his intent dark and sharp as a blade.
Xander scaled the side of the building effortlessly, his grip firm and silent. Reaching the balcony, he stepped onto the cool stone floor, peering into the dimly lit room.
There he was—Kuro.
The man stood with his back to the door, polishing his clawed gloves, his lips curled into a twisted smirk.
"everything is according to my plan," Kuro muttered to himself, his voice dripping with cruelty.
Xander's crimson eyes glinted. "Not if I end it tonight."
---
Kuro barely had time to react as the balcony door exploded inward with a deafening crash. Shards of glass flew across the room as a towering figure stepped through the wreckage.
Xander's presence filled the room like a storm, his long black hair swaying as his sharp gaze locked onto Kuro.
"What—?!" Kuro spun around, claws at the ready. "Who the hell are you?!"
Xander didn't answer. He took a single step forward, the weight of his intent pressing down on the room like a vice.
Xander smirked faintly, his voice cold and cutting. "you're not supposed to be alive, 'Captain Kuro.'"
Kuro's eyes widened. "You… know who I am?"
"I know everything about you," Xander said, unsheathing his sword in a smooth motion. The blade gleamed in the moonlight. "And I know exactly what you're planning."
Kuro's face contorted with rage. "You think you can stop me?!" He lunged forward, his Shakushi technique kicking in as his form seemed to vanish.
But Xander's Observation Haki tracked him effortlessly.
There.
As Kuro appeared behind him, claws ready to strike, Xander spun with blinding speed, his sword slicing through the air.
CLANG!
The sound of metal striking metal echoed through the room as Xander's blade met Kuro's claws, stopping him dead.
Kuro's shock was clear. "How—?!"
Xander pushed forward, forcing Kuro back with raw strength. "You're not as fast as you think."
Kuro growled, retreating and disappearing into another Shakushi. This time, he darted around the room, clawing at walls and furniture in a flurry of slashes, trying to throw Xander off.
But it didn't work. Xander remained still, his eyes closed, his Observation Haki locking onto Kuro's movements.
"Three… two… one."
The moment Kuro reappeared to strike, Xander moved. He stepped forward and swung his sword in a single, precise arc.
"Hydro Burst."
A pressurized wave of water, erupted from Xander's blade. It struck Kuro head-on, sending him crashing through the far wall and into the hallway beyond.
Kuro groaned in pain, blood dripping from his mouth as he struggled to rise. "Y-You… bastard…"
Xander stepped through the broken wall, his sword resting on his shoulder. "This is where it ends, Kuro.
Kuro glared up at him, hatred burning in his eyes. "I won't… lose… to some nobody pirate…"
Xander's expression darkened, his voice low and firm. "I'm not just some pirate. Remember my name when you rot in whatever hole you crawl into next—Xander."
With one final swing, Xander's fist smashed into Kuro's face, knocking him unconscious.
---
Xander stood over Kuro's limp body, the room now silent save for the faint sound of Kaya's unsteady breathing. Turning, he saw the young heiress standing in the doorway, her pale hands clutching the frame for support.
"W-Who… are you?" Kaya whispered, her voice trembling.
Xander sheathed his sword and offered her a small, reassuring smile. "Just someone passing through."
She stared at him, tears welling in her eyes as she processed what had just happened. "Why did you kill Klahadore"
Xander was silent for a while and remember that kaya trusted kuro and he prepared for this to come. Then he pull out a bounty of kuro and give her
"This man name is kuro the captain of black cat pirates and you my also know him as a Klahadore you think you are sick but he is the one who poison you and he's doing all that to get your wealth." as Xander explained her she didn't believe it first, but when she looked at the bounty poster her mind start doubting the reality.
"Don't worry it's not your fault" Xander said comforting her
Kaya nodded weakly, relief washing over her. "Thank you…"
Xander turned and walked past her, heading for the balcony. Hand stopped him it was kaya hand and he looked back.
"Your name ?" She asked him
And he answered "Xander"
