It was bad enough that Rose wasn't feeling too well now I have to do this myself. What the hell am I supposed to do now.
"Irene I can't go today." Laying on the coffee colored couch tucked in her blanket.
" What's the issue again Rossy, am starting to think your doing this on purpose."
I inched a brow at her.
" I can't go to the interview with you"
" But Rossy you know I can't do this alone, I practiced with you it's going to be awkward ."
" Irene your a strong girl I know you've got this, besides you won't be alone I'll be with you."
" And how's that"
I can't believe I was standing in front of the tallest gate I've ever seen with and ear pod in my ear . That was Rose's idea of being with me I adjusted my hair so it would cover the piece of chip in my ear . I adjusted my shoulder bold and strong and walked in.
" Mr Hales is on his way hope everything is in place, this is going to be a hit for us so better don't mess this up"
Between the tension and the chip in my ear I couldn't come to a conclusion on what was probably the worst day of my life.
" Irene"
" Yes ma'am,..."
"Are you ready Mr Hales is here"
Two breathes and I adjusted myself once again gathering my courage
"Yes" nodding to show my assurance
" Okay one last thing, DO.NOT.MESS.THIS.UP"
That did it ,my confidence went through the window I clenched and unclenched my fist on my note pad before walking in. I couldn't see anyone but I noticed a chair turned.
" You're the interviewer ! " He stood tall
Oh my goodness, a tall and lean man with dark thick hair,six feet in height with an arousing presence,his emotionless eyes are stricking shade of brown.dressed in expensive grey and black suite.
"Y...y...yes"
" Let's get started then "
" Hmm.yes"
What was going on I automatically forgot everything I had practiced my lines my composure I was drifted back to reality when I heard Rose voice through the little chip in my ear"
" Irene how are you holding up "
I ignored her words
"Shall we begin Mr Hales "
I kicked off the interview with light questions before moving on to the though ones but he's answered everything with so much calmness in his voice. I hit the ice burge when I came to the end of my question and i still had twenty minutes left. What am I going to do now I taught hard then I remembered Rose, I managed to keep my voice the lowest I could keep it.
" Girl am stranded, what now"
" Uhm what to do. Ahh yes, Irene say whatever I say okay or else it's done with us and bye bye to Vance publishing.
" Okay"
I listened carefully and blurted out everything Rose asked me to just like she said I should .it was after the question I realized the huge mistake I just did.
