Prologue
Long ago, werewolves were noble protectors, blessed by the Moon Goddess to maintain balance in the natural world.
They shared a deep alliance with witches, whose magic helped guide and support them.
But betrayal shattered this harmony.
Kaelen, the leader of the werewolves, became consumed with a thirst for immortality.
He convinced the witches to cast a powerful spell for him, promising them the sacred Moonstone, an artifact tied to the wolves' power.
But once the spell was complete, Kaelen betrayed them—keeping the Moonstone for himself and betraying those who had helped him.
Outraged, the witches cursed the werewolves.
Their divine gift became a curse: under the full moon, they lost control, becoming feral beasts.
Once revered, they were now feared by humans, hunted down as monsters.
For centuries, werewolves lived in hiding, blending into human society unnoticed.
But one fateful night, Jonathan Hunter, a detective, witnessed one transform in the street.
Shocked by the discovery, he became obsessed with tracking them down.
Armed with knowledge of their weaknesses, he led a campaign to exterminate them.
Only a few survived the massacre.
Among them were Barry, a young werewolf who stopped aging at 26; his uncle, the Alpha of their pack; and Ace, an orphan taken in by Barry's family.
Grief and anger consumed Barry, especially after constant clashes with his uncle, who believed survival meant staying hidden.
In a moment of uncontrollable rage, Barry accidentally killed his uncle, making him the new Alpha.
Wracked with guilt but determined to rebuild, Barry fled with Ace. Along the way, they sought out a witch who had once been an ally to the werewolves.
This witch had long been isolated from her own kind after her actions led to a rift.
Though estranged from her people, she still felt a deep connection to the wolves and their cause.
Barry turned to her for help, hoping she could aid them in rebuilding their pack and strengthening their chances against the humans who had nearly wiped them out.
Fueled by grief, anger, and revenge, Barry has now returned, ready to face the humans who destroyed his kind.
