Chapter 26 - 26.

'She was a girl' he had found out that night, and he had told that her name was 'Luli' when he was asked what her name was.

Zarc showed him to the spare room where he was going to stay, and left after that. Luli was with them, Jora had asked if she could watch over her for him, and he had nodded 'yes' to her. He felt strange, he probably knew the name from the past, and yet he was not sure.

He sat on the bed, going through the money he had kept hidden, tied around his trousers to make sure they were complete and safe. They were two pouches, one contained bronze, silver and gold, while the other pouch contained what he had been told was golden dragon. Elora had told him that many commoners never saw one in their lifetime, and yet here he was with six. He put them all back into the pouches, and his them under his pillow as he went to bed.

He was in a field, surrounded by people with powerful bulk and weapons. They were closing in on him, but he was scared. He held onto his sword feebly sweat dripping down his forehead. He was going to die. One aimed a spear at him, and he felt it sink into his shoulder. He screamed in pain, but he could not hear his own voice. He fell to the floor waiting for them to finish him off.

He woke up from the sleep, his clothes and bedding drenched in sweat. He took huge gulps of air his hands on his shoulder massaging it. It had felt too real, he still felt the pain of the wound from the spear, as it tore his muscles apart. The place was still clouded in darkness, morning wasn't near. He stood up from the bed and walked about the room trying to stretch his hands, but it hurt like hell."ouch" he said straightening it out when he heard muffled sounds coming from the hall. He opened his door and walked towards it, and heard Zarc's say

"the recruitment process is going to begin today, I have to leave early and be there as I am a general."

Jora sighed deeply, tears welling up in her eyes "do you really have to go, you haven't even been here a week" her husband placed his hands on her shoulders, patting it gently to comfort her.

Yue walked out from where he was hiding and greeted everyone "good morning" they all turned around in shock and kept looking at him.

Jora smiled at him "we were trying not to wake you up, sorry if we did" she said trying to shake of the awkwardness of the silence. He shook his head in disagreement. " You did not wake me."

Jora sighed in relief and turned back to face her son when Yue asked "can I follow you? I would like to train to become a soldier."

Zarc looked at him and shook his head "you have a daughter, the training ground is no place for a child." "She is not my..." He began, as they all turned to look at him, as though dearing him to deny the child.

He kept quiet, racking his brain for a way out. "What if I pay someone to look after her, would that be alright?"

"And who would you trust with such a duty" Zarc asked a annoyed look on his face. "Your parents could do it" he said as Zarc glared at him and turned to leave.

"One golden dragon" he said making them pause. "How much?" Jora asked clearing her ears. He brought out the pouch and picked one out to prove it to them " a golden dragon" Jora snatched the money from his hand and kept looking at it in wonder an astonished smile on her face "why, we would be obliged to take care of her for the rest of our lives"
