Yue sat outside beside a blazing fire nursing a cup of herbal tea, when Elora joined him, she sat quietly by his side staring into the fire lost in thought. He looked at her for a few seconds and went back to sipping the bitter tea. "How did you and aunt Emma meet?" She asked looking curiously at him. He looked her in the eye and went back to sipping his tea and she knew she would not be getting an answer out of him "you will always be welcomed back here" she said at last looking at him "and i forgot to thank you for saving me the other day, so...thank you" he nodded his head in understanding looking up at the sky but she kept staring at his face "why do you keep staring at my face?" She blushed and looked away standing up and straightening the creases in her robe "good night" she looked at him one more time before she walked into the house where they were staying until the palace was built back.
Emma and Yue set of at first light, on camels, headed for dragons island with only food and water that would be sufficient until they reached the western lands. They rode on the camels throughout the day without conversation each one lost in their own thoughts. They stopped in the middle of the desert for the night, facing the other as they eat dried berries, dried meat and bread. "You never ask questions, you never talk, and you're always thinking" she said to him placing a dried fruit in between her teeth and biting hard onto it hard. He looked at her, his face blank, with no words to say. "Well at least its what i've noticed about you, you don't say anything unless you have to." He nodded his head in understanding and focused on what he was eating. She sighed in exasperation. They stared at the stars the whole night with their own thoughts in mind. He watched her eyes close, sleeping of when daylight neared and smiled, he had conversations with her in his head, but there was no way he could say that out, he watched the stars fade away as morning came, sleep had evaded him.
It was another day of riding through the desert, ignoring the heat, and sipping water from the flasks held around their neck with the help of a rope so that it would be within their reach. "Where are we headed?" He asked, she looked at him a smile on her face knowing he was trying to start a conversation. "We are heading towards the western lands, from there we should be able to get a boat that would take us to dragons island" he nodded his head in understanding and she chuckled causing him to frown "you love nodding your head don't you?" She said a wide smile on her face, he was a handsome man on every level, but was cute in his confusions and when he nodded his head.
They rode on throughout the rest of the day in comfortable silence stopping to eat and rest as the dusk neared.
