"I gotta think about the future" jay murmured, his parents died in a monster attack during a plane flight back to Britain and Jay never thought about his future, believing he would be a weakling all his life.
Jay started to contemplate while walking to the office "We have never gotten a national rank player, could I be the first one?" He pondered.
National Rank players were S-Tier Awakeners with strength leagues beyond a normal S-Tier. All National Rank Player possess power akin to an entire nation and were known throughout the world.
The majority of the National Rank players already came from nations already powerful from before the great change and Britain never awakened one, making it a weaker nation, relying on others.
"The strongest here right now is S-Tier "Celestial Knight" and he can't even compare to National Level players." He thought.
Jay soon arrived at the principals office, where Grayson was already waiting. "Well someone's late" The principal chuckled. "Sorry, I got distracted" Replied Jay.
"Lets start of this discussion with a compliment to your daring kill of a 3☆ monster, its been over a decade since a monster of this caliber has been killed"
"Thank you, Mr. Wilson" Grayson Replied. Jay sat there silent.
"Though, I think you both are aware of the accusations against you" Jay did here about it but now thinking about it, he most definetely knew who accused him.
"It was Damon wasn't it" asked Grayson. "Yes, he accused you of cheating and though I don't believe him, I would like to hear your side of the story, it is quite unbelievable for you 2 to accomplish such a feat"
Grayson then replied "It is true that we could not match up to the monster, but my ability has a special property to increase my strength against the undead/shadow creatures and luckily the monster was a shadow type snake. Jay also bravely led on the monster and distracted it, allowing me to charge my strongest attack to defeat it."
"Clever use of teamwork I see, I would now like to discuss your future. Because of your 1st place ranking in the assessment, you have various oppurtunities to continue your path as an awakener."
"I have already chosen my path" responded Grayson. "I will join my fathers guild and eventually become the leader." "Fine choice indeed, now how about you, Jay?" "I havent put much thought into it" Replied Jay. "there are various options for you to choose from, although you have yet to awaken a talent, there are a multitude of places that I can recommend to you."
"I appreciate you on that offer but I will decide what to do on my own" replied Jay. "ok, as long as you can be successful on your way out of this school" the principal chuckled.
"Oh, and by the way, because you 2 got 1st, you will have some items delivered to you" With that remark, the meeting ended. On his walk back, Jay finally pulled up the new effect he got when his skilll Disguise leveled up.

"With this, I will become the hero of Britain." Jay grinned.
"System, can I generate my own articles of clothing to apply to myself? Jay asked. [yes, you are allowed to change anything as long as your figure is still humanoid] "Perfect" said Jay with a smile.
"Ooh! That looks cool!" Jay cheerfully droned on while heading back home

Jay was happily eating some food at home when he got a call from Grayson; "hey Jay!" "what is it?" "go check your mail! They sent the rewards!" With that Grayson hung up and Jay went to check the mail. Inside the mail was a small metal box with a note attached.
"Due to the fact that you had no talent, I had a hard time picking out a reward, I do hope this helps with whatever you want to do and I wish you the best - Principal Wilson.
"Well lets see what this is" said Jay, carefully opening the box. Inside was a black bracelet with an interesting design. [Dectecing Item of the Demon King!] A screen appeared in front of him.

"Principal Winston really is generous!" Jay remarked. "Not many items can boost mana let alone give an extra ability!" with his new item, Jay felt a surge of confidence. "I think it is time to register". Jay had decided to register to the Awakeners association to make himself an official awakener who can fight the monsters.
The awakening associations register building was a giant and shined brightly, reflecting the suns light off its metalic sides. The awakeners association was a global association dedicated to uniting all the awakeners to fight off the invasions from the monsters in dungeons and in the chaos world.
Jason put on the garb he had chosen earlier, a black/golden hawk mask, a black body suit, and a cape. He was greeted by a receptionist as soon as he enetered. "Hello!" she said, "Would you like to register to be an awakener?" she asked
"Yes" Jay replied. The receptionist girl led Jay to a separate room with many other people inside. "Just wait here a bit sir, when its your turn, they will call you, what is your name? "Night hawk" replied Jay, many famous awakeners called themselves different nicknames to be recognized easier (and frankly, to sound cooler - Author). "Ok, sir Night Hawk, it will be your turn soon!" and with that, the receptionist girl left the room.
Jay began to observe the people awakening/testing their talents, watching the other people pass by, he began to see a flurry of different emotions on their face.
"Night Hawk! It is your turn!" a girls voice called from a room adjacent from the one Jay was in.
