Chapter 3 - C3: I Had a Vision.

This was my previous body!

*It looks ugly, just as I remember.*

Unable to focus on my body at the moment, I was now flying at seemingly light speed through the space.

I saw all kinds of planets and stars.

How did I even envision these? My subconscious is very mysterious.

After a good minute of flying, I started to slow down. Planets were now even clearer, and I could almost feel the stars emitting heat.

Then I saw something I presumed to be our solar system.

But this time, there was a twist.

Why was the Earth so big!? It seemed at least 10 times bigger than the world I remembered. Not to mention, it had lost a lot of color. It had a grim ambiance.

I slowly felt my body sway toward the Earth. I was getting closer and closer.

The atmosphere was full of clouds and dust.

When I passed the atmosphere filled with filth, I was discombobulated.

One-half of it was blown away just like a cake that had been cut.

And it had a gaping hole in the middle, seemingly getting deeper as it got to the center.

I was now zooming swiftly into that deep hole.

I saw what I presumed to be... Monsters?

They were like pterodactyls, but they emitted a grey glow and were just massive in size.

I couldn't pay attention since I was heading too fast into the depths of this hole, and I had to quickly shift my focus onto the surroundings.

I scanned around me, still ascending down.

This... It kind of looked like 'The Depths'.

There were dark forests and gleaming plants.

I was now sure that this was the depths, but why was I seeing this?

Still, what I am seeing now is the outside of my small kingdom, the outside world!

I scan my peripheral, not leaving a single detail out.

Even though I was ascending down swiftly, I had successfully noted all that I had seen, now inside my mind.

As the hole got lower, so did the monster sizes. My previous Earth was like a bug compared to the depths.

Still, the monsters were at least 10 times my size. It was terrifying.

I was amazed by the nighttime scenery, but I didn't forget to focus on the surroundings.

At last, I had confirmed one guess:

The depths were separated into groups.

I decided to call them 'Layers'.

The first group (1st Layer) seemed to contain the largest, most vicious monsters out there, located outside the massive hole.

The second group (2nd Layer) was located between the start of the hole and the 25% down mark. The monsters only got smaller.

The third group (3rd Layer) is between 25% and 50%.

The monsters got considerably smaller, still massive but less disgusting. And there seemed to be more docile monsters.

The fourth group (4th Layer) was between 50% and 80%. I saw traces of humans! Campfires, brick houses, and such. The monster sizes were now around 5 times that of an average human. It seemed possible to create a human civilization here since there were lakes, trees, more glowy plants, and herbivores! I saw a vague sheep silhouette, but I am not 100% sure.

The fifth group (5th Layer).

I was now heading down the 80% mark.

The monsters were just as described in the stories told to me as a child in the Mirmaras Kingdom. Still towering over a human, but they seemed? More killable.

90%... 95%...

Ohhh! That's the Mirmaras Kingdom!

There's no need to show me more.

The fifth group was between 80% and 100% (Me)

Including the Mirmaras Kingdom, the last human civilization.

I had now seen the whole of the Depts!

But why was the dream continuing?

*Hey!! When can I leave this dream?!*

The dream was zooming into the province where I lived, 'Solar City.'

Into my neighborhood.

Into my street.

Into my house?

Into my room...

. . .

"HAAH!"

I screamed at the top of my lungs.

I was covered in cold sweat and smelled horrible. I tried to gather my breath and relax.

Without resting my brain, I thought:

*Was what I saw a dream or a projection of reality?*

It wasn't impossible in a world filled with supernatural incidents.

At last, gathering my thoughts, I decided on one thing:

I would make use of what I had envisioned,

and search for the lost history.

"Orhan! Are you okay!?"

My mom yelled.

*Damn it, I must have woken up my family.*

It was still nighttime, the same as Orhan's dream/vision.

"I'm okay, Mom! I just had a nightmare, that's it."

"Okay, tell me if you need anything. I don't think I can sleep again after that scream."

Well, neither could I.

. . .

After a long night of writing everything I had analyzed into a brand new notebook, I looked out my window.

"It's almost time for breakfast."

I muttered to myself.

I got ready for school and went downstairs for breakfast.

My mind was still fuzzy; the shower I took didn't help me forget about my envisioning.

"Hey, Orhan, are you okay? You woke us all last night." Ajax spoke to me.

..."Huh? Oh, yeah, I'm okay now, thanks."

I replied to my elder brother.

"You look pale, though; what kind of nightmare did you have?"

My little sister asked.

"Alista, think before speaking. Your brother is visibly affected by his nightmare." My mom spoke.

"It's okay, I just saw monsters from the stories I was told as a child. I have no idea why now, but I'm sure I'll be fine now."

"If you say so... Also, if you are hungry, eat breakfast before going to school. "

My mom replied in a sweet voice.

I ate my breakfast, got dressed, and went out.

I saw Faith leaving his house.

"Woah! Dude, you look like a corpse."

Faith said sarcastically.

"I know, I just didn't get enough sleep today. I had a nightmare."

"A nightmare that fazed you? Tell me about it."

"Well, I'll tell you at lunch, keep wondering until then."

"That's rude, man. Well, tell me when you're ready."

I nod, and we start walking to school.

. . .

The school was, as usual, I told Faith about my vision. Of course, not on the planetary scale, but I told him about the 4th and 5th layers.

At first, he thought I was crazy.

("Dude, did you hit your head?")

After telling him about the realness of the dream and reasoning with him theoretically, he believed me.

("I see, they all make sense now. Thank you for enlightening me Orhan, let's be comrades for life.")

*This memory will go down to hell with me.*

After school, we separated into our houses, and I was, again, free for the day.

*Just a few more days, Faith and I will get to see actual soldiers*

I was insanely tired after the long school day, I did not even take my uniform off and fell to my bed, sleeping in mere seconds.
