Deep within his eyes, a faint light flickered, transforming from white to black. With each heartbeat, veins pulsed with color, and Killian felt an uncanny connection to his surroundings. He sensed sound waves and frequencies, perceiving the world like a bat. Scents took on colors, and his instincts sharpened, reminiscent of a dog's keen senses. "A month," she replied. A wave of relief washed over Killian, but the thought of being separated from his new mother, even for a short time, was almost too much to bear. "It's only a month," he whispered, his voice barely audible.
