Chapter 15 - Chapter 15: The Plan

Ryan's eyes locked onto Emily's, his expression serious. "We need to be careful," he said. "If they're expecting us, we'll need to change our plan."

Emily nodded, her mind racing with possibilities. "What do you suggest?" she asked.

Ryan thought for a moment before speaking. "We can still use the diversion plan, but we'll need to add an extra layer of security. I can hack into the warehouse's system and disable their cameras and alarms, but we'll need to be quick."

Sarah spoke up, her voice firm. "I'll take care of the guards. I've been watching their patrol routes, and I know where they'll be. We can use that to our advantage."

Rachel nodded, her eyes locked on the blueprint. "I'll make sure the truck is ready to go. We'll need to be fast and precise if we're going to get out of there undetected."

As they finalized their plan, Emily felt a sense of determination wash over her. They were going to do this, no matter what.

But just as they were about to leave, Emily's phone buzzed with an incoming text. She glanced at the screen, her heart skipping a beat.

"What is it?" Ryan asked, noticing her expression.

Emily's eyes locked onto his. "It's Alex," she said. "He wants to meet with me. He says he has information about the organization."

Ryan's expression turned skeptical. "Do you trust him?" he asked.

Emily hesitated, unsure of what to say. Did she trust Alex? And what did he want to tell her?

Emily hesitated, unsure of what to say. She had trusted Alex before, but after everything that had happened, she wasn't so sure anymore.

"I don't know," she said finally. "I'll meet with him, but I'll be careful. If it's a trap, I'll get out of there as quickly as I can."

Ryan nodded, his expression serious. "Be careful, Emily. We don't know what we're up against."

Emily nodded, feeling a sense of determination wash over her. She would get to the bottom of this, no matter what.

She sent Alex a text, agreeing to meet with him at a coffee shop on the outskirts of town. As she waited for him to arrive, she couldn't help but feel a sense of unease. What did Alex want to tell her? And why did he want to meet with her in person?

When Alex arrived, Emily was surprised to see that he looked nervous. He glanced around the coffee shop, as if he was worried that someone was watching them.

"Thanks for meeting with me, Emily," he said, his voice low. "I know I haven't been the most trustworthy person lately, but I want to make things right."

Emily raised an eyebrow, skeptical. "What do you want to tell me, Alex?" she asked.

Alex took a deep breath before speaking. "I've been working with the organization," he said. "But I didn't know what they were really doing. I thought they were just a normal business, but then I started to notice strange things. They were shipping out crates at night, and there were always guards around. I didn't think much of it at first, but then I saw something that made me realize what was really going on."

Emily's eyes locked onto Alex's, her heart pounding in her chest. "What did you see?" she asked.

Alex hesitated, as if he was afraid of what might happen if he told her. "I saw a crate being loaded onto a truck," he said. "And inside the crate, I saw...I saw people. They were being smuggled out of the country, Emily. I didn't know what to do, so I started to investigate further. That's when I realized that the organization is involved in human trafficking."

Emily felt like she had been punched in the gut. She had suspected that the organization was involved in something bad, but she had no idea it was this serious.
