ARTEMIS POV
The whole ordeal was sort of a mistake to Aiden—he told me he had just a dim awareness of what happened but he also told me that he liked it, since then we had been doing it at any chance we got, like bunnies in heat.
Aiden's attitude towards me improved a lot, he would now kiss me without hesitation. He would make my day with hot steamy sex and would stroke my hair after everything.
I never knew Aiden to be an affectionate person but he was, maybe only to me.
I stared the mirror now and grinned when I saw how messed up my fiery hair was. Of course that was Aiden's handiwork. I was sure his hair was a mess too, even more than mine.
The door opened and Esther walked in holding some of my clothes. She smiled when she saw me grinning.
"You look like you went to heaven and came back," She said and I shrugged.
"I am just happy" I said and Esther laughed.
"Yeah and we all know why," she said and I stared at her.
"Know what?" I acted innocent and Esther grinned. She sat beside me.
"We know how you and Aiden….., you know." She said and I blushed. I made a face and she chuckled.
"I told you that he likes you," she said and I nodded. I pooped an almond candy into my mouth and gave her a smile.
"Yeah. I… I wish things wouldn't go back to how they were before it scares me the most." I admitted and Esther took my hand.
"Don't worry he won't. Look at him, he can't stay away from you for one day. He might not admit it but he is obsessed—like really obsessed," she said and I nodded. Aiden had really changed after that night, he had always wanted to see me, we had started to get along so well and I could never be more happier.
"So are you guys gonna get married for real?" She asked and I shrugged.
I hadn't thought of that but now she said I wanted it so bad. I wanted him to love me like I did. I wanted to carry his name and bear his children.
Esther stood and patted me on the shoulder. She grinned at me.
"I have work soon. I'll catch you later, you guys should try not to bring the house down with your lovemaking" she said and ran away before I could cuff her on the head. I heard her laughter as she walked away. The door opened and Daymon walked in. His blue eyes seemed a lot colder like he wasn't even happy to be seeing me.
"Aiden is waiting for you at the gardens," he said and I gave him a confused stare.
"Did I do something wrong?" I asked. Those blue eyes snapped towards me.
"Get ready and meet the boss," he growled and I stared at him in confusion. He spun around and I grabbed his arm.
"Jeez Daymon. What did I do, you are acting like I did something bad," I said. Daymon opened his mouth to say something but thought better of it and pulled his arm away. He stormed away without a word and I sighed. I could never understand Daymon. He was as moody and unpredictable as the storm.
I headed to the garden to see Aiden waiting for me, hands behind his back. He turned and smiled at me.
"Hello there redhead," He said with a grin and I smacked his arm playfully.
"Don't call me redhead," I said and he grinned. He looked so happy, so handsome and so at ease.
"So what does King Aiden want from me today?" I asked and he shrugged.
"Just wanted to see you and hear your voice," he said and I laughed.
"I am not doing anything with you in this garden," I said with a smile.
"It's not a bad idea," he said. He opened his palm and I saw a simple necklace sitting there.
"I got this for you today. It's a simple necklace and pretty cheap but I remembered when I first met you. This is just a reminder of how far you've gotten" he said and my heart melted.
Now I found it hard to believe he didn't genuinely care for me. I was just speechless and lost in the green of his eyes.
"Can I put it on?" he asked, jarring me from my thoughts and I nodded. I pushed my hair to the side so he could put on the necklace.
I turned around so he could put on the necklace, I held my breath waiting and I shivered when I felt his fingers on my neck, then the cool feeling of the necklace.
"There," he said and I spun back around to face him.
"How does it look?" I asked and his green eyes intensified.
"Like it was made for you Artemis," he answered and I smiled. He didn't say my name often but when he did it had a way of driving me crazy.
"Say my name again," I whispered. Aiden's green eyes were suddenly so hard to look at because it felt like he could see my soul.
"Artemis" he said and I leaned in, taking his lips in mine. His strong hands landed firmly on my waist and he pulled me to him. He pulled away.
"You have no idea what you do to me," he confessed.
"No I don't" I whispered. "So tell me" I said, playing with his ear.
"You drive me crazy. You make me feel like I am nineteen again" he said and I grinned.
"I do not," I said and he laughed, a rich deep sound that made all the butterflies in my belly go into frenzy mode.
"Yes you do Artemis. You and only you."
