Serena walked in the room and all eyes turned to look at her as she walked in, exuding elegance in her high heeled shoes which made the only noise in the now silent room.
She loved this part of her job, the attention, who doesn't, but she was smart enough to not let it get into her head. Just as she walked past, she could notice in her vision, a particular set of eyes that seemed to be scrutinizing her, looking at her like he wanted to see into her soul, she could feel it.
It was the guy she had met at the coffee shop about a week ago. The man in black sweater, as she remembered.
'what was he doing here of all places?!' Her heart skipped a beat, her cheeks beet red as she recalled the incident which took place at the coffee shop.
Serena, without looking, could tell he had a smirk on his face as he stared. Going over the numbers again in her head to ensure the incident at the presentation she did a week ago, which had earned her an earful didn't repeat itself especially not in front of 'the coffee man'.
' well, he would have to wait and see.' Regaining her composure, she thought to herself as she she made her way to the front, recovering from the split second shock.

From what he could see so far, the lady seemed confident in herself, and very well put together unlike the nutcase he met a week ago.
She only had a slight reaction to his presence, after which she regained her composure, a reaction that didn't go unnoticed by his very eyes, but subtle enough to not be noticed by the others in the room.
A smirk formed at the edge of his lips, hidden behind his right hand which was placed on his lips, resting his hand on the chair handle.
He was eager to know what she had to offer and how she would handle herself.

The presentation had taken a little over thirty minutes. It had gone extremely well, eliciting applause by the dignitaries at the table.
Serena felt so proud at how impressed the company willing to work with them were, she cast a glance over to the man who seemed to be staring at her the most and she could see he was impressed too.
The meeting had come to an end, causing everyone to start to exit the conference room.
Serena was talking to one of her colleagues when she sensed someone was behind her.
Looking back, she could see him in a navy three-piece suit standing a few inches above her.
Before she could make the words out of her mouth, she heard him say;
"Coffee stain on suede pants is not a good combo, neither is running away after doing such a good gesture, Miss Serena Wallace" He had a smile on his face as he said this.
"I already apologized"
"Not good enough, I'll accept your apology at the coffee shop, 5pm. Don't be late"
Before Serena could retort, he had started to walk off and out the conference room.
She stood there, bewildered.
