After watching those arrogant nobels disappear deep into the forest, zephyr went back into the tent..he had to consider what had happened to him. Afterall reincarnation itself is a lot to ponder over!
"sigh, i cant believe all those reincarnation novel i read about were actually true"...after warping his head around his reincarnation, he began to do the next important step...which is to get to safety
this forest lied right next to the border of outer human settlement so, it was relatively safe for now... but zephyr didn't want to stay and verify the truth. surprisingly packing up the tent was way easier that expected...
why?, "what is that plug?....that's tempting to pull".....bang! the tent folded up by itself into a small bag with a weird logo...probable the company which manufactured them...
"thats convenient! why didn't we have this tech in earth?,does this mean that this world is more advanced that earth? how fascinating!, I wonder what else is there?"
zephyy...wore the tent like a backpack, and started traversing through the rough Terrance of the jungle...luckily he didn't meet any wild animals....god knows how dangerous they are here?...the very though of getting stuck on a some monsters teeth sent shivers down his spine
Soon he reached outersettlments...home to the original owner of this body!, it was like a typical slum, everywhere you look there will be a garbage...
zephyr started walking toward the center of this garbage city...Soon he reached a clock tower at center of this city. it was a total chaos, it seems like a market place."hi kid u look like a rich guy why don't you come here and buy some things form me?"
well this was not that different from begging actually!.seems like these people are that much desperate for money.not that it was surprising, if you don't have money in this place you are practically dead after all!
this place is like an apocalyptic world right? with magical monsters all over the place threatening to kill anyone especially from the outersettelment.
speaking of this world apart from hunters and other obvious stuff...im practically have no information.all i know is that this world is filled with some kind of power and people can some how interact with this power through some kind of system and become a hunter, these hunters are deeply respected in this society.
"I need information now above all else"....walking through these market he decided to look for books related to this world which would help him understand better of its working.
as he made up his way through the market he reached the city hall.surprisingly the surroundings near the city hall was well cleaned and well maintained.
There he spotted an old run down library...."that looks like a good place to find information".zephyr moved towards the library.
"hey you there!....stop!....where do you think you going?" someone stopped zephyr right at the entrance..."don't you know that this place is off limits to filthy slum like you"
Turning around he found a young man dressed in a black uniform...looks like he's on guard duty here...
"get lost before i decide to chang..e huh?... hey kid where did you find this bag"....
what's with the change in attitude?, confused zephyr answered 'someone gave it to me as a present, why do you ask?'
"well, in that case sir, you can definitively go in....please excuse my rudeness, infact come on in sir i'll introduce you to the head librarian"...said the guard..
zephyr was very confused he followed the guard closely behind.....while they were moving toward what seemed to look like an office of the head librarian...this guard wouldn't shut up about how offensive he was to me and how sorry he was earlier
i tried being nonchalant about it but it seems to only agitate him even more...finally we reached the office of the head librarian
"once again im deeply sorry about my rude remarks earlier sir, i hope you wouldn't take it on me"...at this point i had to say someone to make this guy shut up so i told him that it was fine as long as he doesnt go around telling about this...
it was a tactical act from me as well, by doing this i can also prevent unwanted prying eyes on me for a while.
"Sure, thank you so much for your consideration sir!, let me introduce you to the head librarian here....Samsun wake up you old fool! why are you sleeping in your working shift"
this guard then proceeds to kick the table and vigorously shake the poor old man...
frightened, the old man got up "what who? when!...daren you idiot why did you wake me up....i was also having a nice dream too"
"stop fooling around....an important guest has arrived make sure to treat him well and do whatever he wants....as long as he is here you ought to act like a guide to him...this is a direct order from the empires guard!"
Seeing the guard so serious. The head librarian too started to put on a more professional attitude. " so where is this important guest then,?"…asked the librarian
Guard pointed at me and explained in a serious manner "I have met this sir right outside the building. He's a close friend with the royals i hope you understand the gravity of the situation you are in so. I advise you to give your utmost cooperation in satisfying this lord"
I was almost half-certain that all these sudden change in attitude were due to the symbol in my bag…but now i am completely sure that it was.
Well what ever it is these guys must have misunderstood the dynamics between me and that old man..well i'm gonna take advantage of this.
The only thing which was a surprise for me was hearing that the old man was a royal or at least someone closely associated with them.
By the time i finished my thought the head librarian quickly tidied up himself and introduced "forgiven me for my ignorance for not noticing you my lord..my name is samson and i'm the head librarian here, what ever it is that you want please feel free to ask..i will do my best to complete it"
"I'm just here to read some books and pass my time…you don't need to bother with me…and as for you daren…you can go now I don't need your help anymore "answered zephyr with a tone of arrogance...got to keep up my act right?
"Then I'll take my leave then, goodbye sir".with that the guard ran out of the building almost as if escaping from a beast.
"What kind of books are you interested in sir?.." asked the librarian with a half smile…i guess he's pressured as well..
"Just tell me how the books are segregated i'll see what to read after that".
"In that case, there are totally 3 rows of book shelves…1st shelve contains history of our world. 2nd shelve contains everything about system and magic. And finally the 3rd one talks about the geography of our continent"
"great you can leave then..don't bother me while i'm here and also don't let anyone else to bother me either"this way i can read any book with causing suspicion
"I....I will make sure to do so sir please carry on then!"dan hurried back into his office
looks like he's bit relieved..well its all in my favour i guess, well now i should get started on these books...lets start with history and go down the order..
