**Chapter 2: Unpacking the System**
Over the next few days, Adam threw himself into learning the intricacies of the system. He discovered that while his powers sounded straightforward, they came with their own quirks and limitations.
The **Unlimited Resurrection** was both a blessing and a curse. If he died, he would lose one random ability unrelated to the system. It made him cautious, aware that recklessness could cost him dearly. On the other hand, the ability to resurrect others came with a different catch: each resurrection required a "use," and earning those uses meant killing 100 supernatural entities.
Then there was the **Copy and Cut System**. He quickly learned its potential for creativity. Copying abilities was straightforward enough, but when he transferred them into objects, the results were unpredictable. A pair of boots he infused with super speed ended up granting the wearer temporary invisibility instead. Objects seemed to develop random enhancements, sometimes unrelated to the stored power.
And finally, the **Rumor Tracker**. The first time he activated it, a strange message appeared before him.
<**Rumor: A vampire den is operating in Mystic Falls, preying on unsuspecting tourists. Proceed with caution.**>
It was vague, unconfirmed, but it gave him a lead. He decided to test it, taking a trip to Mystic Falls to investigate. If he was going to lead a task force, he needed to start somewhere.
