It has been a Eight years since Vincent regained his memories and he and Victor became Fifteen (15) years old a month ago, they could have skipped a lot of grades with their intelligence but they didn't, as they both had straight A's in all their subjects, they took one step at a time, they were currently in the Tenth (10) grade and they were in different schools.
Their relationship is not as close as it use to be but they still cared about each other a lot and they both knew it, They talked but not much, Vincent also came to Victor when he sensed discomfort like the big brother he was and always will be, As for Victor he almost never felt anything from his brother as Vincent had great control over his emotions.
As for the parents, Vincent's interactions with Anna became non existent and for Leon, He talked with him but way less than he used to with Anna, The only bringer of joy was Victor , even with his young age his smiles brought happiness to the family.
A few days ago Vincent talked to Leon about moving out, Leon agreed even when didn't want to, but he knew Vincent needed his space, Leon and Anna had an argument about Leon's decision but Vincent didn't care. He had been falling asleep very often for the past year and he didn't like it, and today he'll be moving.

No one but Vincent knew, They were nearing the beginning of the plot. Personally Vincent didn't care about the novel, all the characters can burn for all he cares, he just wanted his kid brother to be alright, Even if he won't admit it.
Victor didn't care about the reason, he was just happy that after first grade his brother is finally choosing to be in the same university as him.
