Chapter 2 - East Of The "Manifest World"

The Eastern Lands: the Eastern Realm above the Wall

In the heart of the East, four vast realms lie hidden, each a treasure trove of unique cultures, beliefs, and politics. This mythical land is where history and legends intertwine.

Beliefs and Faiths of the East

1. The Nephtis Faith:

The principal religion of the Eastern people, worshiping the New Gods (nine Gods). In this faith, each deity has a distinct role and symbol. However, unlike many other beliefs, the "Father" is seen as the embodiment of lust and chaos—a force that disrupts balance and must always be controlled. The temples of Nephtis reflect the human struggle to combat the turmoil the "Father" brings to the world.

2. The Zorus Faith:

Before the rise of Nephtis, Zorus was the ruler of the East. This ancient faith, now overshadowed by time, reveres Zoromun, its chief goddess, as the mother of all goodness and evil. In Zorus's belief, the world was born from Zoromun's internal contradictions, and both light and darkness reflect her existence. Zorus represents the philosophy of accepting and understanding the cycle of good and evil in the world.

3. The Firinic Faith:

This faith is unique to the Firgard House, focusing on the worship of Virin—a god portrayed in Nephtis as the "Father." In the Firinic faith, Virin is a being who blends power and wisdom with nature. Virin's image, with antlered horns, symbolizes the eternal connection between humans and primal forces.

Rulers of the East

1. The East of the East:

The East of the East flies under the banner of the Levanore House, where Triyej the Seventh, the twenty-fifth king of this lineage, sits upon the Ayzmere throne. He is the heir to the splendor that the Eastern Wall has long guarded.

2. The West of the East:

The West of the East is a land of contradictions—a realm shadowed by the name of Triyej the Seventh, yet true power lies in the hands of Diakys Pass, a child born from the royal blood but without the legitimacy of the throne. He's the king's bastard son.

The Eastern Wall

The ancient Eastern Wall separates the East of the East from the West of the East. The secret of its construction is lost in the depths of history—some see it as a sign of the power of the first kings, while others view it as a symbol of the ancient divide between the lands.

The Lands of the East

East of the East:

1. Ayzmere:

The beating heart of the East of the East, the stronghold of the Levanore House, where decisions of fate for all the Eastern lands are made.

2. Evelys:

A vast land directly under the rule of Triyej the Seventh, with a mighty fortress that stands resilient against any threat from the West.

Great Houses of the East

1. Levanore:

• A House of great renown and ancient lineage, rulers of the East of the East. The Levanore House is descended from the first kings, and their name has become synonymous with power and wisdom in Eastern history.

• Their symbol, a black bird with green eyes, soars across the skies of history, representing the influence and vision that has guarded the Eastern borders.

• The Ayzmere fortress, their seat, is the political and cultural heart of the East of the East, where all significant decisions for the Eastern realms are made.

"See how I Soar."

2. Kar'Ahs:

• The name of this House means "Black Stone"—in Eastern language, "Kar" means stone, and "Ahs" means black. This House, like an unyielding black stone, represents endurance and strength. They reside near the fiery Lusmerya of the East and exploit its rich volcanic resources, such as black and green stones. These resources have made the Kar'Ahs House unmatched in economic and military power.

• Their symbol, two black stones and one green on a red background, symbolizes their connection to the earth and fire, as well as their steadfastness and pride.

"Black stones never break."

3. Rayn:

• The Rayn House, known as the "Children of Water," shares a deep connection with the rivers and seas of the East. Followers of the goddess Hydda, their lives are tied to water and agriculture.

• Their symbol, a golden sun on a blue background, represents the life-giving energy of water and sunlight.

• The Rayn House is renowned for its mastery in maritime trade and agriculture, and the coastal cities under their rule have become economic hubs of the region. They are also skilled in diplomacy, often acting as intermediaries between the great Houses.

"Shine like the sun, in the heart of the sea."

4. Yerwoot:

• A House that dwells in the dark and harsh undergrounds of Lazz. The Yerwoot House is born from the green storms and harsh conditions of this region, turning hardship into unparalleled strength. Living beneath the earth, they tap into rich mines and ancient magics.

• Their emblem, a great axe, symbolizes their physical power and resilience against all challenges. However, their association with dark and unknown forces of the underworld places them in a realm of mystery and legends.

"In the darkness, in storm, we are born."

5. Feergard:

• This House, the loyal supporters of Diakys Pass, holds considerable power in the land of Evelayn. The Feergard House represents the connection between humanity, nature, and the ancient forces. They worship the horned god Virin in the Firinic faith.

• Their symbol, antlers on a green and gold background, displays their strength and wisdom. The Feergard House, with their ancient wisdom and strategic skills, are the backbone of Diakys Pass's support in the West of the East.

• In addition to political influence, the Feergard House is skilled in crafting magical weapons, giving them a powerful military advantage.

"Let the earth be watered with the blood of enemies!"

The nexus of the four great realms, Lake Morn is like a mirror that unites the East, pulsing with the heartbeat of trade in this land.

2. The Alynakin River:

Known as the "Grave of Alyna," this river carries the story of a young girl whose tragic tale flows through its waters forever. She was Jayras the First's daughter.

3. Eastern Lusmerya:

A dry desert where towering mountains and deep valleys lie in wait for those brave enough to travel into the unknown.

4. Fiery Eastern Lusmerya:

This region is home to volcanoes that produce black stones, within which lie veins of magic and legend. These stones are transformed into royal weapons that shape history.

The Green and Blue Storms

These deadly storms strike from the sky to the West of the East. Those whose eyes fall upon the green tempest will embrace madness.

---

The Earth-Eating Sea

The newly born Earth-Eating Sea, after the breaking of the ancient dam during the reign of Triyej the Seventh, devoured three great islands of the East. Though this was done to save the people from a drought, it came at a heavy cost to the East.

Legendary Royal Weapons

••• In the history of the East, only three royal weapons are made from the black stones of Lusmerya—though there may be more, only these three are officially recorded:

1. The Dark Venom:

A black dagger currently in the hands of Diakys Pass—this dagger hides death in its shadow.

2. The Jade Blade:

A green sword belonging to Triyej the Seventh—symbolizing royal power and the treasure of Fiery Lusmerya.

3. The Green Requiem:

Another legendary sword, wielded by Triyej the Seventh, with each strike singing a song of power and history.
