A little lady was holding an envelope, her eyes red and teary. You could hear her sniffle from afar and the people around her, took a second look. She was pretty and looked like she walked out of a painting. She turned and decided to get her breakfast before opening the letter. In every step she made any person old and young stared at her. They could not put a finger on her, yes, she was pretty, but something was ethereal in the way she moves.
Finally, she arrived at a cozy little restaurant and took a step inside. She inhaled and enjoyed the smell of freshly brewed coffee and the scent of warm baked bread. The owner waved at her and the waiter gladly sat her on her usual table by the corner of the room. They always knew that she did not like to be stared and accommodated with all the things they need. Thus, she has been a loyal customer for five years, never missing a day. The owner chimed a warm smile at her, making her blush a little. He was always prioritizing her needs even if there are a lot of customers. She returned the smile that showed her dimple and eyes sparkling earning a tease from the waiter who wiggled her eyebrows at her.
"So, why is your face red?" The owner named Blake asked while taking a seat across the charming woman in front of her. He could not stop staring at her so, he made himself look around the room trying to look casual as he can.
"Uhm…I just hear from him.. again." He saw how her eyes clouded with longing sucking the dazzling view he saw earlier. In his heart he was hoping that it was not that 'guy' who almost took her life. He just cleared his throat and stared at her hand; a letter crumpled in her hands that her knuckles are getting white. She was holding it like her life, just like three years ago.
She saw Blake frowning and she could not help but sweat, she knows that he did not like her first boyfriend. Her nervousness spiked when he cleared his throat and stared at her hand making her subconsciously tighten her grip.
"Did he come back? What did he say?" She was not able to stop her eyes tearing up again, so she looked down to not make him see her stupid self. Suddenly, she was surrounded by a smell that she loved- a toasted coffee bean mixed with oven baked bread. He was hugging her, and she could feel his hand on her back trying to soothe her and maybe make her stop crying? She could not help but bury her head on his neck and inhale his scent and placed both her arms on his waist.
The waiter and the cashier winked at each other and placed a simple divider to give the two people some privacy and wished in their hearts that they would finally be together.
"Thank you…." She mumbled sleepily, her nerves relaxing and could not help but fall asleep in his arms.
Blake on the other hand was shocked that she started taking his scent making him almost lost control. She was now fast asleep, hugging him tightly making her body so close to him that he could feel her heat and breath on his neck. He stiffened when her lips touched his neck sending electricity through out his body.
If anyone could see the two people right now, they are no different from an old couple hugging and enjoying each other's warmth.
Blake slowly sang a lullaby song when he felt something wet drop on his neck. She was crying again and sniffling like a little girl. He sighed and carried her to the second floor while glaring at his two workers taking a picture of them with their stupid grins. While carrying her to the stairs, he was wondering why is she so light? And if he would make her, his wife would this happen every morning? But he shook his head and steeled his heart, he does not have the guts to confess and rejected.
The floor creaked and he stood in front a purple door, but he decided to take her to his room just in case she would have another panic attack. After opening his room, he gently placed the woman on his bed, she was still crying and sniffling occasionally. To see the woman, he had jammed in his heart against the black sheet of his bed, he subconsciously licked her tears, kissed her nose, eyes but stopped when he was going for her lips. The sight of her bloody lips woke him up.
He ran to his medical kit and slapped himself for violating her while she was vulnerable. The cotton that touched her lips jolted her awake and before he could say anything his world turned upside down. He was shocked to find out that she had used a dead martial art technique on him. And when he raised his eyes to look at her, it was filled with no emotion.
However, he felt no fear just amused that such soft and little body could actually throw him over like that. She still has her elbow on his neck but slowly blinked and looked at him while her eyes was going round realizing what she has done. The lady quickly moved to get of him but slipped and sat on something…. hard. And when she wiggled, he grabbed her waist and told her to stop.
For some reason, she liked him looking like this- loosing control. She suddenly held his hands on her waist shocking him once again. And his eyes was now the one getting rounder, a face of disbelief as she grinded on him and licked her lips.
"Stop." His cold voice making her frown and nervous.
She was wondering if he did not like it and that freaked her out. The possibility of him rejecting her because she let her instinct got the rest of her. And she got a sudden flash of courage and pushed him on the floor and kissed him hard while still grinding on him.
She brought her hands inside his shirt and moaned when she felt his toned abs but suddenly he grabbed her hands and carried her to the bed. Her sound of disapproval was evident making him stare at her and grabbed a rope under the bed. She was excited but pouted when he tied her hands like a criminal making her feel angry and annoyed.
"What were you thinking?" Blake said as he went to get a beer from his cooler, but while his back was turned on her he could feel a burning stare which he is painfully trying to not mind at all.
"Uh…what I want to do?" She blinked confused and baffled. The feeling she got made her do all those things and for some reason she did not feel disgusted but yearning for more.
Blake choked on his bear and stared at her in disbelief. Then, he remembered something that his grandfather told him many years ago, that there was a clan who was not controlled by the law but by their feelings and instinct. They were the lifeline of the kingdom, a pure uncontrolled machine for war.
She noticed that he might have realized her identity, the one that she hid from everyone. Her heart felt painful like it was being crushed by something. The fear of loosing this man made her think that she was once again just like those people.
"I'm sorry for what I did earlier." She whispered and kneeled on the floor, making him stupefied on his feet. Her mind has just now processed everything, her desire and fondness of him was not because of just being close friends but also because she wanted him for herself.
The thought made her freeze in shock since she did not have this type of idea when she was with her betrothed. She thought of their interactions before and realized that she was disgusted by his touch and smell. Her mind was always stating that it was normal to feel disgusted and should act accordingly. She realized that she never felt safe with that guy even her so called arrange fiancée was chosen by her family.
Her eyes wandered then her eyebrows furrowed realizing that maybe her betrothed realized that and left her on the altar three years ago. She sat on the floor with a dumfounded look on her face and suddenly grabbed the letter in her pocket and seriously read the letter.
Her action made him upset, Blake thought it was not fair that he was discarded again but he does not want to loose her. He sighed and walked towards her, kneeled down and tried to untie the rope on her wrist when he suddenly felt teardrops on his hand. He froze and a sense of dread came over him. This woman will surely leave him and never talk to him again.
However, Blake's view became dark and before he realized something was nibbling on his lips and a tongue was prying to open his. He backed away and stared at her confused. She sheepishly smiled at him and blinked her eyes.
"Uh…sorry about that. I just got overwhelmed.. you smell good. Wait no… that's not what I want to say. NOT that I am saying you smell bad but you know. Oh my!" She rambled and finally covered her face out of embarrassment.
He was confused what she meant until he read the letter. In it was written the feelings of the man from three years ago, he said it was not fair for her to be safe and in love with another men while he is pushed to the sidelines. He acknowledged that the woman has not been aware of her feelings and that he cannot bear to marry her in that state. Her willingness to follow her parents order was much appreciated but he would like her to confess to the man she wants and needs to be with as he has found his.
Blake was shocked and he could keep himself from smiling, she was his a long time ago. He looked at he woman in front of him with a face so red he could see smoke coming out from her head. She was blubbering something and that made him laugh.
His laugh made the woman take a peek at him and was mesmerized by how happy he was laughing. She also smiled involuntarily and just lunged at the guy and hugged him strongly. She stared at him and closed her eyes waiting for a kiss when a strong knock on the door. It made her angry and Blake just gave her a peck on her lips and opened the door. However, before he could open the door it swung open, and a sword was on his face.
This view prompted the little lady to scream at the person "Sister! Stop it!".
Blake blinked at the woman in front of him and kneeled to pay respects, it was the general of the black king, the White lotus. His mind has now realized that maybe the woman of his heart was truly a descendant of the purebloods and encouraged himself of many trials ahead of their relationship.
"You know my dear little sister, we were worried and here you are seducing your fiancée. Touche, you finally had the awareness, eh?" The woman in military uniform said teasingly at the woman on the floor. This statement made both of them flush, both of their ears red.
Blake however, had a question and raised his head to ask the general but her statement answered his question.
"Blake Centillon, a descendant of the Aether and Gother Centillion is here by ordered by the Black King to accept the proposal to the youngest member of the Black Army, Fiora Veronica to honor the promise made a hundred years ago. Any opposition shall be awarded with death, do you have any?" She looked at the man who was going to the new betrothed of her sister and was gobsmacked to see him crying—happily at that. She also looked at her sister who was also in the same state and wondered if these two got brain damaged from the announcement? She shakes her head and smiled, waved at them and left the two idiots in the room.
Blake wiped his tears and ran towards Fiora, hugged her and twirled her across the room. Fiora squeled in surprise and saw in his eyes her image, only HER. They kissed and was then disturbed again- by a flash of a camera. It was the workers of the restaurant happiness radiating from their faces.
The room was now filled with celebratory atmosphere, and if they just peeked at the window down to the street the white lotus was accompanying the Black King who left with a merry heart for fulfilling a long time promise.
