Chapter 11 - An Unexpected Discovery

Ethan: "Kyogan, what do you predict would occur if I consumed the body?"

Kyogan remained quiet, taking a moment to gather his thoughts before responding

Kyogan: "My king, I propose that your Blood Demon Art: Biokinesis could be utilized to analyze the mutation mechanisms associated with the Blue Spider Lily. Through systematic experimentation, we could potentially develop a genetic blueprint outlining the specific pathways and processes underlying these mutations.

Furthermore, your unique blood properties could serve as a stabilizing agent, enhancing the precision of the mutation process. This would not only improve the efficacy of the procedure but also allow us to achieve optimal results with significantly reduced quantities of the Blue Spider Lily. By minimizing variability, we could mitigate the occurrence of unwanted or unpredictable mutations."

Ethan: "Your hypothesis is sound, Kyogan. Let us test it. If successful this method could redefine our entire approach to experimentation."

Ethan's Thought's:

Kyogan's analysis aligned with my thoughts. Biokinesis offered unparalleled potential to dissect and manipulate the underlying mechanics of demonic mutations. By internalizing the process, I would gain absolute control, minimizing reliance on the rare Blue Spider Lily and introducing unprecedented precision to our work.

The implications extended far beyond a single experiment. Success would grant us the ability to weaponize or neutralize mutations with surgical accuracy, a prospect that could alter the fabric of demon biology itself.

[Phase One: Initial Testing]

I approached the corpse with purpose. My hands transformed into grotesque, gaping maws as I consumed the remains methodically. Each bite was deliberate, ensuring no detail of the cellular structure was overlooked. Once I had finished, I focused my energy, channeling my Biokinesis to reshape a portion of my flesh into a compact, blood-red pill.

Ethan: "As you anticipated, Kyogan, the process was successful. This pill created thanks to the infusion of my bloodline connection and the influence of the Blue Spider Lily, carries a genetic blueprint for cellular adaptation.This demonic blueprint enables demonic cells to resist low doses of wisteria poison while rendering them immune to its presence."

"This breakthrough could revolutionize the direction of our research. With this knowledge we can potentially eliminate one of the greatest weaknesses of our kind and unlock new possibilities for demon evolution."

I handed the pill to Kyogan, his eyes wide with both awe and curiosity. We were on the cusp of something unprecedented, and I could feel the tides shifting in our favor.

I turned to Kyogan and said:

"We may have overcome one hurdle, but we're still far from immune to the wisteria flower poison that could be weaponized against us. More experiments are needed."

Without hesitation, I ordered Kyogan to bring in another demon to test the newly created pill which I had promptly named the Mutagenic Evolutionary Blueprint Pill (M.E.B.P. for short).

Once the demon was brought in, I activated my Bloodline Hex ability rendering the subject immobile and unable to resist. I turned toward Kyogan and continued:

[Phase Two: Categorization and Systematic Experiments]

"Kyogan, we need to establish a systematic approach to our experiments. I suggest we create a categorized structure based on the type of experiment conducted. Here's what I propose:

1. Experimental Subject 001(E.S.001):

These will be demons used for experiments involving wisteria poison.

2. Experimental Subject 002(E.S.002):

This group will consist of demons subjected to experiments involving Nichirin blades or exposure to sunlight.

3.Experimental Subject 003(E.S. 003):

These demons will undergo experiments involving both fire and frost stimulation."

I paused, ensuring Kyogan fully understood the methodology before continuing. "This categorization will help us maintain order and track progress efficiently as we move forward with our research."

Kyogan: "That's brilliant my king. Shall we proceed expirements with the new [E.S.001] or would you like me to bring you some refreshments first?"

Ethan:"Thank you for your concern Kyogan but remember,our work is of the utmost importance. We cannot afford distractions."

Kyogan:"Yes, my king. Your words will remain etched in my memory."

[Phase Three: Administering the M.E.B.P.]

With that we commenced the next stage of our experiments. Kyogan prepared the new [E.S. 001] and I personally administered the Mutagenic Evolutionary Blueprint Pill (M.E.B.P.). We observed closely as the demon's body reacted. At first there were minor symptoms: profuse sweating and slight bleeding from the orifices.However these effects were relatively mild and within 30 minutes the demon had returned to peak condition.

[Phase Four: Genetic Refinement and Breakthrough]

We then began testing the effects of the transformation. I first consumed a small amount of the demon's blood allowing me to refine the genetic blueprint further. During my analysis, I discovered a few flaws in the genetic structure caused by instability.

Thankfully these faults were mitigated by the demon's supernatural immune system and regenerative abilities.

To continue we exposed the subject to wisteria flowers. The results were promising.The demon exhibited minimal reaction, displaying only mild irritation rather than the usual violent response. After ten minutes we removed the flower and I once again collected a sample of the demon's blood.

Ethan: "Kyogan note this. The wisteria resistance is evident though still developing. The subject's blood is stable enough for further analysis."

Using this new blood sample, I enhanced the genetic blueprint further. The previously unstable genes which had been immature and prone to rapid mutation due to the effects of the Blue Spider Lily were now stabilized. The immunity to wisteria poison I had engineered was becoming more deeply ingrained in the demon's genetic code.

This marked a significant breakthrough in our research. Not only was the subject's resistance to wisteria improving but the genetic modifications were now firmly integrated into the subjects DNA paving the way for further advancements in creating a perfect, wisteria-immune demon.

Ethan: "Kyogan, observe. The immunity to wisteria poison is no longer superficial but ingrained at a cellular level. This success represents a monumental step in our quest to perfect demon physiology."

Kyogan bowed deeply. "Your vision my king is unparalleled. What is the next course of action?"

Ethan: "We continue. The stabilization process must be repeated and refined. Each step brings us closer to the ultimate goal—a demon immune to all vulnerabilities."

The experiment was a resounding success but it was only the beginning. The potential of the M.E.B.P. and Biokinesis would propel us into uncharted territory, reshaping the evolution of our kind. With precision and determination, I would lead this revolution.
