Lightning Ryuosho stared coldly at the thunder wolves before him. The blade in his hand shimmered with arcs of electricity, and the power of thunder coiled around him, forming a massive lightning dragon that hovered menacingly by his side.
The dragon roared, unleashing a terrifying pressure as it charged at the wolves.
"Just crude artificial electricity—do you think that can stop me?" Lightning Ryuosho's voice was low and resonant. He stepped forward, transforming into a streak of lightning as he hurtled into the fray.
The thunder wolves collided mid-air with the lightning dragon, igniting a blinding flash and an ear-splitting explosion. The forces of thunder twisted and writhed, each trying to overwhelm the other. The dragon's ferocity clashed with the wolves' cunning in an aerial battle. Every collision sent shockwaves rippling outward, reducing the surrounding structures to rubble.
A thunder wolf lunged from the side, only to be cleaved in two by the sharp arc of Ryuosho's blade. Yet in an instant, the wolf's form reassembled, as if it were immortal, and leaped at him once more.
Another wolf launched a sneak attack from behind, its razor-sharp claws slashing at Ryuosho's back. Without even turning, Ryuosho struck backward with a thunderous fist, blasting the wolf away. But like the first, it too reformed and charged again.
"This is getting tiresome," Ryuosho muttered, his voice filled with disdain. Lightning erupted beneath his feet as he ascended into the air. Both hands gripped his blade, channeling immense thunderous energy into it. The weapon glowed blindingly, and above, a vortex of lightning began to take shape. The dragon roared, merging with the vortex, creating a destructive force that could shatter the heavens.
"Thunderfield Spiral!" Ryuosho roared, bringing his blade crashing down. The vortex, now in the form of a colossal dragon, descended upon the four wolves.
The thunder wolves sensed the imminent threat and howled in desperation, trying to resist. Yet the vortex carried an unstoppable power, devouring them in an instant. The explosion of light that followed turned the entire sky into a dazzling blue-white, as if day had suddenly broken.
When the light faded, the battlefield was marked by deep scars and scorched earth. The thunder wolves were gone, leaving only Lazy Ryuosho standing unsteadily amidst the destruction. His body crackled with chaotic electricity, evidence of his depleted energy.
"You... you're really this strong?" Lazy Ryuosho gasped, his eyes filled with disbelief and resentment.
Lightning Ryuosho gazed at him coldly, his blade pointed forward. "Your little game of schemes ends here."
Lazy Ryuosho stared at the dissipating vortex, only to realize the remaining energy had been absorbed by Lightning Ryuosho, augmenting his power. The thunder dragon circling Ryuosho now radiated an even more ferocious aura, its strength magnified by consuming the wolves.
"This... this is impossible!" Lazy Ryuosho stammered, his voice trembling with rage and fear. "You devoured my thunder wolves and turned them into your own power? No way!"
"Nothing is impossible," Ryuosho replied coldly, his tone carrying an overwhelming authority. "From the start, your thunder was never a match for mine."
Without another word, Ryuosho became a streak of lightning again, surging toward Lazy Ryuosho at supersonic speed. The air tore apart around him, leaving a blazing trail of light in his wake.
Panic flashed across Lazy Ryuosho's face as he hurriedly summoned a lightning spear, channeling all his power into the weapon. Roaring with desperation, he thrust the spear toward the oncoming blade.
"Boom!"
Spear and blade collided mid-air, detonating a surge of energy that shook the earth. The ground splintered and shattered as shockwaves radiated outward, scattering debris and engulfing the area in dust and smoke.
For a moment, the two were locked in a stalemate. Then, almost simultaneously, both exerted their full strength. The blade and spear clashed repeatedly, each impact accompanied by blinding flashes of light. Ryuosho's relentless strikes carried the roar of the thunder dragon, his ferocity threatening to crush Lazy Ryuosho into the ground.
Lazy Ryuosho, relying on his agility, darted around to exploit any openings. His spear struck like a venomous serpent, aiming for Ryuosho's vital points.
But Ryuosho's reactions were impeccable, deflecting every thrust with precise counterattacks, each more ferocious than the last. His cold gaze betrayed his mastery over the battle's rhythm.
"You can only dodge and delay. What vile trick are you planning?" Ryuosho demanded, slashing his blade in a sweeping arc. The strike forced Lazy Ryuosho to retreat.
"Trick? You'll see for yourself!" Lazy Ryuosho snarled. Leaping into the air, he raised his spear high, drawing all the surrounding thunder into it. The energy condensed into a massive vortex, crackling with destructive power. With a ferocious cry, he hurled the spear down at Ryuosho.
The spear descended like divine retribution, aiming to obliterate everything in its path. Yet Ryuosho remained unfazed, his blade glowing as the thunder dragon coiled around it.
"If you insist, then I'll show you who truly commands thunder." Ryuosho's voice was barely above a whisper, yet it carried the weight of the storm.
He swung his blade.
The collision between the blade and spear unleashed a thunderous explosion that blotted out the battlefield. The sheer force of the impact reduced the surroundings to dust, as the clash of powers created a vortex of destruction.
For a brief moment, it seemed neither side would relent. But Ryuosho's blade gradually overpowered the spear. Lazy Ryuosho's vortex faltered, then collapsed entirely.
"No... this can't be!" Lazy Ryuosho screamed, but his spear shattered under the pressure. The force hurled him backward, slamming him into the ground. Blood spurted from his mouth as he lay motionless, his body charred by the residual lightning. He was completely spent.
Lightning Ryuosho stood tall amidst the dissipating thunder, his blade humming with power. He looked down at his defeated foe with a frosty glare.
"This is your end," he declared, his voice devoid of emotion.
