Point of View: Lucas Emberlain
Lucas was surrounded by a group of Shadow Bats, Rank E creatures known for their ambush tactics. Using his wind manipulation ability, he generated sharp gusts that kept the creatures at bay.
"They're faster than I expected," he said, panting.
One of the bats lunged at him, and Lucas narrowly dodged, countering with a wind projectile that knocked it down. He seized the moment to unleash a shockwave, scattering the remaining bats.

Lucas smiled as he watched the bats vanish into particles of light.
"This isn't so hard after all."
However, his confidence wavered when he heard footsteps approaching. They weren't beasts—they were students.
"Lucas Emberlain, right?" one of them said, a tall young man holding a magical spear. His group surrounded Lucas, clearly with hostile intent.
"I don't have time for this," Lucas said, adopting a defensive stance.
The fight began, and while Lucas managed to knock one of the students down with his wind gusts, the other two forced him to retreat. His ability allowed him to hold his ground, but he knew that facing a coordinated group wouldn't be easy.
Point of View: Kael
Kael advanced cautiously when he felt something strange in the air. He stopped and focused on his surroundings. There were fresh tracks on the ground, and they didn't belong to any creature.
"Students," he thought, gritting his teeth.
Following the trail, he arrived at a clearing where two students were battling a Mud Golem, a Rank D creature. One of them seemed to be at the limit of their endurance, while the other was attacking with water magic, slowly weakening the golem.
Kael observed silently, evaluating the situation. He could attack the golem once the others were exhausted, but something held him back.
"Help!" one of the students shouted when they noticed him.
Kael hesitated for a moment. He had no obligation to help them, but if he defeated the golem himself, the points would be his.
Finally, he made a decision. He rushed into the battle, channeling shadow energy into his sword.
"Aim for its legs!" he shouted as he attacked the golem from the side.
The students looked at him in surprise but followed his instructions. Within minutes, the golem fell, and the system notified:

Kael turned toward the two aspirants, but before he could say anything, one of them tried to attack him from behind.
"I knew I shouldn't have trusted you," he said, blocking the attack with ease.
The other student joined the assault, but Kael overpowered them without much effort. Once both lay on the ground, disarmed, Kael retrieved his sword.
"If you try something like that again, I won't be so lenient," he said before walking away.
Point of View: Maya Larksworth
Maya moved through a rocky region when she was ambushed by a group of four students.
"Do you really think you can take all of us?" one of them, an earth mage, said as he raised a barrier to block any escape.
Maya simply smiled.
"Four against one. I like the odds."
She summoned a wave of fire that forced the group to scatter. Her control over the flames was precise, and she used explosions to divide them.
One by one, the students fell. Maya used her speed and magic to outmaneuver their defenses until only one remained, who surrendered without further resistance.

Maya adjusted her hair and continued walking, a determined look on her face.
"This exam is more interesting than I thought."
Kael watched from a safe distance as the evening light began to blanket the island. The points were adding up slowly, but he knew the real challenges were yet to come.
