Power System Base:
In the world of Eternal, every individual possesses an Inner Essence, a magical manifestation that defines their abilities and talents. The Inner Essence awakens during the Awakening Ceremony at the age of 15. This power is influenced by genetics, environment, and the person's willpower.
Categories of Inner Essences:
Physical Essences:
Example: Enhanced strength, extreme speed, increased stamina.
These represent mastery over the body and manifest as warriors, fighters, or protectors.
Elemental Essences:
Example: Fire, water, wind, earth control, etc.
These allow manipulation of the elements of nature and are often associated with the kingdom's mages.
Spiritual Essences:
Example: Mental manipulation, communication with magical entities, emotion reading.
Rare and granting subtler but devastating abilities in the right context.
Unique Essences:
Example: Summoning magical creatures, time control, powers of creation or destruction.
Extremely rare, these often appear in individuals destined to change the world's fate.
Rank and Development:
Inner Essences are classified by levels:
Latent: Before awakening, abilities are either nonexistent or insignificant.
Initial: The power is weak but can improve with training.
Intermediate: Control and potency increase, allowing a more versatile use of the power.
Advanced: The user masters their Essence and can employ it in creative ways.
Legendary: Reserved for the few who reach the pinnacle of their Essence's potential, becoming mythical figures.
Particularities of the Protagonist:
When Kael awakens his Essence, he will discover a unique and dangerous power: the ability to manipulate Primordial Shadows. This power allows him to:
Create and control physical shadows to attack or defend.
Use shadows as portals to move between locations.
Spy on or manipulate the memories of those who touch the shadows.
However, this power comes at a high cost. Kael must constantly battle against the "Inner Shadows," a manifestation of his own fears and negative emotions, which could consume him if he fails to control them.
