Chapter 1 - Love At First Sight

It was a regular, sunny afternoon in the city, with the bustling sounds of cars honking, the chatter of pedestrians, and the occasional rattle of the subway train below the street. Ere'ana stepped out of the crowded café, her eyes scanning the busy city around her. The air was warm, but the excitement of the day made it feel like there was a special energy lingering in the atmosphere.

Ere'ana had always loved the city. It was a world of music and rhythm, with every street corner offering a new melody, a new tune. But today, there was something different. As she was walking down the sidewalk, her eyes locked with his. Kikidori.

Kikidori was leaning casually against the side of a building, his black hair tousled slightly in the breeze. He had a quiet confidence, yet something about him made her heart race. He caught her gaze, and for a brief second, neither of them moved. The city around them seemed to disappear, and in that moment, it felt like only the two of them existed.

"Hi," Kikidori said, a small smile spreading across his face.

Ere'ana smiled back, feeling her cheeks flush slightly. "Hi."

There was a brief, awkward pause, but then Kikidori straightened up. "I'm Kikidori. What's your name?"

"Ere'ana," she replied, feeling the rhythm of her heart match the beat of the city around them. She could already tell this was going to be the start of something big.

From that moment on, they began talking. Kikidori was easy to talk to, with his laid-back attitude and quick wit. They found out they both went to the same college, a fact that surprised Ere'ana, considering how large the city was.

As they walked together, they passed through the bustling city streets, each step bringing them closer to one another. Kikidori shared that he loved drawing, which instantly intrigued Ere'ana. She had always admired people who could create beauty with just a pencil and paper. It was a skill she had never mastered herself.

"I could show you some of my work sometime," Kikidori said as they stopped by a park bench. His voice was warm, inviting, as if the offer was natural. "You seem like the type who appreciates art."

Ere'ana smiled, unable to deny the connection they already shared. "I'd love that."

They continued their conversation, effortlessly weaving from one topic to the next. Kikidori mentioned his love for the city, and Ere'ana found herself nodding in agreement. The city was full of life, full of possibilities. It was where she felt most alive, and Kikidori seemed to feel the same.

But there was more between them than just shared interests. Kikidori had an energy that made Ere'ana feel like she could be herself, like there were no walls between them. She couldn't help but think about how he had such an easy way about him. But then again, there was the undeniable fact that she was starting to like him more and more with each passing second.

Ere'ana was no stranger to love. She had always been a hopeless romantic at heart, but she didn't expect to feel this way about someone she had just met. There was something magnetic about Kikidori that made her heart beat faster every time he smiled, every time he looked at her with those dark eyes.

Later that day, as they said goodbye, Ere'ana couldn't stop thinking about him. She pulled out her phone and sent him a message. *"It was really nice meeting you, Kikidori."*

Almost immediately, she got a reply. *"Likewise. I'll see you around, Ere'ana."*

Ere'ana smiled, a feeling of warmth spreading through her. Little did she know, this was just the beginning of something she would cherish for the rest of her life.
