March 15, 2381…The city of Ruthford

"It's still crazy how otherwordly beings funded us the knowledge of magical engineering."

Spoke a young Sensō who sat quietly in a library, reading over the history of Ruthford. He burrowed his eyebrows in slight frustration but sighed lightly and closed the book.

"Today's the day I reveal to the academy what I can do…and mark my place in this world"

Sensō said, his voice filled with determination as he stood up and set off to the academy. Sensō was considered an anomaly due to the foreign magic he wielded and the unknown nature of it. To most he was weak since he never revealed much but to the Ruthford government, he was highly dangerous and kept a close eye on.

Upon arriving to the academy, he noticed the hate filled gazes of his classmates but he ignored them and continued forward towards the testing arena.

'Today is the day you reveal your Quantum Magic. It's risky but I believe that a low-level spell could do it. Hmmm, maybe gravity magic'

The young boy thought in his head as he stepped into the testing field, noticing that everyone was already here and most were already done with their test fights.

"Teach!, I want that guy right there."

A boy name geo shouted out and pointed towards Sensō who raised an eyebrow. Sensō shrugged and the teacher nodded, waiting for both students to get into their respective positions.

"A clean fair match. Begin!"

The teacher said and with no time wasted, Geo shot forward and unleashed a torrent of electrical bullets that rained down on Sensō

'Woah, if I never trained as much as I did that would have been the end of me'

Sensō spoke in his mind as he skillfully maneuvered around the raining electrical bullets. Sensō then shot his hand out towards Geo, activating his magical ability. Instantly, Geo felt a crushing force of 1,000 elephants suddenly slam on top of him.

"What the hell! the thing said your magic was Fire magic! How the hell can you control gravity!"

Geo yelled out in shock as he gritted his teeth, using all his muscles to withstand the crushing force. This amused Sensō, now understanding that Geo was physically gifted.

"I guess It's time I finally reveal what I've been hiding…you see, I have the magical ability to adapt and develop any magic or physical enhancement…"

Sensō spoke out calmly though not a shred of pride was laced in his words, instead he was a bit saddened after the statement. The crowd gasped and the academy headmaster gained a dark look, that Sensō took notice of but decided to deal with later.

"To be more specific. I can adapt after a certain amount of time"

Sensō said, athough he was withholding a bit more of information. Seconds later, Geo was released from the intense pressure and decided to play it strategically.

"Let me be blunt. As of now, your weak. Anything you do will be useless against me"

Sensō said factly which shook the crowd and angered Geo. Geo then shot his hands forward as a large ice spikes shot up from the ground at a rapid pace. Sensō calmly tapped his finger against the air and to the shock of everyone, the air seemed to ripple across the physical space and as the ice spikes closed in, they were shattered.

Sensō then dashed forward and leapt across the field towards Geo, giving him no time to plan and applying pressure as he closed in. They were engaged in intense hand to hand combat and both were equal in terms of CQC.

Sensō landed a hook that stunned Geo. Sensō then took the opportunity to follow up with a kick to the calf that made Geo faulter. Sensō grinned as he increased the gravity around his arm and landed a devastating left hook.

This visually forced a large blast of wind to blow away proportional of Geo face and the sheer strength uplifted chunks of the ground. As the dust settled, Sensō remained unharmed and although Geo was standing, he wasn't in the best shape.

"Bastard….fine, you win"

Geo said as Sensō nodded in agreement and slid his hands in his pockets, effortlessly jumping across the uplifted chunk of rocks.

"Halt. The king demands to speak to you boy"

A soldier spoke, his intimidating muscular form towering over Sensō who slightly gulped but hid his nervous expression well, nodding his head and walking with the solider to the king.

'It was said that the king can be ruthless yet caring…I wonder how he will view me now that I've demonstrated a bit of my real magic'

Sensō spoke in his mind as he continued his venture. As he walked, he stared at the ground in a haze but quickly refocusing upon the sudden stop. This made Sensō finally look up and in front of him he saw the beautiful castle the king & queen and their children resided.

"Go inside and keeps straight. Don't leave the majesty waiting too long…freak"

The same guard spoke out in disdain to which Sensō simply snapped his finger and in that moment he vanished in thin air, shocking the soldiers.

"T-teleportation magic too?!"

The same soldier stammered out. Mean while, Sensō reappeared in front of the king's throne kneeling, shocking many who could not sense him until now, putting them in guard instantly.

"Calm down. I'm impressed Sensō. You displayed proficiency in gravity magic and now teleportation magic, tricking us into thinking you had fire magic all this time. Usually this would be punishable by death but, I see potential in you. So from now on Sensō Yōki, you will be under my training"

The king proclaimed loudly, earning a dead silent room and Sensō who continued to kneel until he felt it was okay to stand, staring the king directly into the eyes.

The king was said to be the most powerful magic wielder in the city and top 3 in the world, coming at 2nd place. The King wielded absorption magic that allowed him to dominate in the field of magic by absorbing nearly limitless amounts of magical energy(mana)

"It is a great honor to serve and train under you my king. I will do my best to become strong and defend this city with my life. Thank you for giving me this opportunity to make myself known in this world"

Sensō spoke back safely as they both gave each other a firm handshake. The king lightly smiled at the maturity of the kid in front of him and it reminded him of himself at that age.

"So. What else can you do? Is that the extent of your magic. You can copy any magic?"

The king asked to which Sensō giggled at the ignorance but straightened his face.

"No sir. It's more complicated. See I can control these tiny packets of magical energy that makes up the entire magical energy itself if bunched together and moving at a high speed and stuff. Basically, it's like I'm controlling the building blocks that make up mana. I call em mana particles"

Sensō said which intrigued the king but confused many, not understanding the mumbo jumbo Sensō was spouting.

"Mana particle?? I see, so your like a conduit for magic that can transform it to any state of energy once expelled."

The king summed up to which Sensō nodded but continued on.

"Something like that. I can control the mana particle externally too. To put it simply, I have enough magical potential to level a city with one technique but of course I'm still in training so I can only do a couple houses"

Sensō proclaimed proudly as he glanced around, noticing the look of fear in everyone eyes. This made him sigh but the king quickly got his attention back.

"Okay. I need to see what you can do as of now, so you'll be facing my eldest son in combat"

The king proclaimed to which Sensō simply nodded. He was then escorted to a large field that allowed the king to view from his position at the top of the castle.

"You're an interesting character Sensō. There's not much in your background. What say you?"

The eldest prince known as Lance spoke, with a glint of curiosity in his eyes. Sensō remained silent for a bit, shuffling his feet a bit to adjust his stance before staring at Lance.

"I'm here for a fresh start and to make a name for myself. So that means I have to beat you. Show me what you can do prince"

Sensō spoke vagularly which angered the prince and made the king chuckle. The referee adorned a look of nervousness and simply backed away a quite far back.

"Well here, royalty is everything so I'll instill some manners into you first. Secondly, I'll nickname you Peasant"

Lance proclaimed in a counter and with that he dashed off at an impressive speed that Sensō clocked at 79 mph. As Sensō looked closer, he could see a trace of red mana flow from Lance.
